Wow Eric your wife and daughter are becoming an indispensable part of your crew! Outstanding work girls!👍💪
They always have been. Even if it wasn't on camera.
I remember when Abby was riding in the baby seat in the wrecker. Now she helps work on the wrecker, and helps with recoveries.
Wow, Mira's becoming a great maintenance troubleshooter! You guys have come such a long way in the upkeep of your wreckers, videos are becoming much more entertaining. Keep up the good work, and please get Blondie up, and running. Be Safe, and God Bless! Great video, I just love watching maintenance repairs being performed!
Or somebody told her off camera so that people would think such, did anybody else notice the red gmc/chevy dually at 2:20, parts rig for the wrecker???
@patricsturm5473 Haven't seen the video yet watching the special Olympics. Add in the beginning 4 minutes long. It's worth it.
At any rate, such for Condescending comment. You're probably talking about the old tow Rig, and she 's a pretty smart cookie.
@@patricsturm5473 That might be Eric's old tow rig. Before the Topkick he had an early duramax red dual cab. The tub looks like it's that one, too many curves for a square body.
@@agentcrm But he could probably make leaf springs work on the square body or at least take some of the leafs out to replace the blocks
@@patricsturm5473that one didn't supply the parts for the wrecker this time, it doesn't have lockout hubs.
Safety inspector Mara - great job finding all of those problems - then fixing them.
Love the old wrecker. it's a work horse.
The family that work's together plays together 😅 u3 are very awesome. 🇺🇸 God Bless and have a great day ya'll. 🇺🇸
Ole wrecker has some hard work miles on it still running strong tho
Square Body to the Rescue lol , nice job Eric and Mara. Can't wait to see the event. Thanks for given the Ol Work Horse some love and thanks for the video 👋
Work equipment hard means lots of repairs. Great to see the family work together.
Tell not to worry that she will get to have the same fun once her tow truck is finished and out working!
I've noticed that Abby has been out working with you alot the last few months, good to see her out learning to do something most girls her age wouldn't even think about doing and with a smile on her face!
#Bendpaklift for the WIN!. ❤
I love it it's awesome when you work together Good things done quicker and help one another just in case you miss something God bless Amen
Love that doggie 🐕 And I think it's time to call Lew at ALCAN and get rid of those blocks, my pickup may not be a tow truck but I'm in the same boat, except I only have 2 inch lift blocks, freaking hate them things! Can't wait to order the right springs and eliminate the blocks, add a leafs and finally have my truck sit a little higher in the back then the front, and after getting the front ALCAN springs, I love them! I will never use anything but ALCAN Leaf Springs! Worth every penny! Great video guys! Keep up the good work! 👍
Eric, regarding the spacer block on the rear axle, maybe you should think about putting a cup socket around the bottom of the spacer that's welded to the axle support plate. Since relying on a 3/8 pin doesn't seem to be working.
I was thinking the same thing, even if you go with harder pins and bolts there’s a difference between shear strength and and tensile strength . I think supporting it is the way to go.
Your patience with Mira is becoming quite an asset. She is learning a lot about maintenance on your vehicles. Well done.
Super nice work guys,
Great job guys. Constant repairs and maintenance. Keeping the old girl alive. Thank you 😊
The new grill looks great. Square body love. The truck that keeps on ticking. She is awesome.
Great tag team maintenance 👏
I am glad you guys have that lift!!
Get with Rorey and get some Alcan springs custom built for the rear so you don’t have to worry about the blocks anymore
you need a skidder with a boom on the back.they work good in the woods
Dually, drum brakes are brutal. I was so happy when they started making them disc brakes
The old electric/hydraulic line locks, great tool
Great team work
Hey Mara and Eric,
Just think, when you get Blondie on the road you will have two wreckers to repair and maintain !
Life is good !
Would be a good idea to find a parts truck so you can take the parts off that you go through the most. Just a suggestion. And Blondie can’t get done quick enough. The ol wrecker needs a refurb!
If You haven't Ever Been Broke, Stuck And Forked You Ain't Offroading Great job Guys
Y'all are awesome.
Mara made me laugh so hard. You go girl. Keep Eric in check.
cool clip, keep them coming
Damn, send Mira to my house for maintenance. She’s awesome 😊
Need a white board and a few sharpies to mark down "defects" on the wrecker and the other vehicles in the BSF fleet
Maybe you could put a couple of spot welds on the blocks to keep them in place
At least your Quality Control Assistant is on the ball ,, she only wants you safe ,,, 😊 ,,,,

Eric. Any thought of lowering the spring mounts to reduce or remove the block size. Seems you’d have fewer troubles with it. Can’t remember if you run a third link or. It.
Yes . . . I remember the old hydraulic brake controllers. We had one on our 67 Mercury station wagon in the early 70s. There was also this block mounted on the fender well with what looked like a pair of springs with a strap across it that could be adjusted along the length of the springs. I think it was some sort of old school variable resistor.
Now it is much easier . . . Just plug in an inertia activated controller into the factory plug and adjust it. It's almost like the manufacturer expects most owners are going to tow a trailer.
I LOVED Mara's reaction to the diff fluid smell......
Mara, why was your cordless so dirty before Eric got grease on it???
Eric, Your flair tool brought me back to High school when I went to Trade high school where I studied AC/R.
Mara's looking much thinner, I hope that's a good thing! 👍😎✊
Always maintenance and breakage especially when you are the tow truck and expected not to break down.
you beat the crap out of that truck
weld pipes on your lift blocks for your u bolts to help keep them in
Great video enjoy watching keep up the great work
Abby is becoming a major part of team. 😅😅😅😅😅
Eric needs a team to help him in his garage, I think he's the hardest run off road wrecker on UA-cam to this day, and we need to find a way to support him and Mara
I haven't seen you on the trails, Mara. I guess you have been in the mechanic's class.
That poor truck. I hope you can give it the rebuild it deserves over winter.
Great job thanks 😊
That truck works hard
Looks like you and Mara did a good job getting the wrecker back up to snuff! I never did see how you got the frame fixed after the "buckling". Guess I'll search your videos to see if it's in there.
Just thinking Maria will be fixing her truck also from all the towing 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good thing you have good diagnostic helper to catch all the problems. Looks like your daughter is a good helper. Tell her this is not a hobby that's just for guys.
Being a natural-born tightwad, I always like it when one or more of my brake pads are paper-thin but not metal to metal anywhere.
The ol wrecker needs upgrades so no more breaking during maintenance the ol guy could use upgrades 😂
Maura to the rescue, she could get a job at the dmv inspecting cars/trucks,on a serious note she doesnt whine about her nails getting grease on or under them, thats a good woman eric
You should grease pins on caliper
I'd do a pre trip inspection like how someone would on a semi just because your truck is used a lot
I was Like #1,000! 😊😊 The wrecker takes a pounding for sure and performs nearly flawlessly. I don't know if upgrading the axles would help, or not. @13:24... Ahh, there's nothing like being Crop Dusted by 90 weight gear oil!
That lift sure is great.
"got it on the first try"....anyone would think you've done it a few times before 🤣🤣🤣🤣
doing maintenance on mine also...
Cheaper fixes than a truck payment
Indeed, bridge oils smell worse than all the cats in the city who have marked their territory on your front door.
Hammer McKim hi to 👍 😊
When are you going to replace the left fender and grill
I perfer my drum brakes, especially in the rear
That was funny 😂😂
Fix that starter grinding. Shim kit?
Is that a dana 70 in the rear? Or a 14 bolt with wheel spacers?
Another great video. I'm amazed they ran that same 4 minute commercial in the beginning in the middle and at the end. But that's okay. Hope. you get paid for it? It'll help fix up that truck. Keep it on the road.
Or trail
Thank you.
Got the crew cab torn apart for a Cummins Swap?
Yeah, you work it hard, you find the weak points!
As hard as you work that truck it might be better to retire the chassis and mount the axles and drive train on a custom heavy duty 4 link chassis. Most of the components are already there.
When do we get a snap on truck houl video
Anyone know the name of the safety stand Eric used in this video, never saw one that popped up.
It came from Snap-on
Didn't you just rebuild the right front? I know you cleaned everything and inspected it and replaced what was damaged, but i wonder if the shaft was weakened do to the failure.
You spread yourself pretty thin Eric you have a lot going on
im asking because i don't know wouldn't you be better off to have a different way to lift the truck than lift blocks maybe different s-prings seems like this happens a lot
17:10 Tools are supposed to get greasy and dirty
How old is the pup?
Gear oil is definitely the worst smelling shyt in the world!
Where's puffy at ?
My 05' tundra has rear drum brakes,
It's SR5, Limited, TRD, step-side.
I don't get why it has drum style brakes on the rear.
What's the upside?
🤯
Toyota used drum brakes until this latest model, in theory they had better stopping power but that goes away as soon as they build heat. Only real benefit is they take a very long time to wear and are super cheap
^ that is true. They do last longer. But performance is less than disc brakes, they are just more resilient.
more surface area in a drum brake shoe = more friction = more stopping power. and a much replacement interval.
the downside being a drum can't cool itself as effectively as a disc can, heat reduces braking performance.
disc front & drum rear was the standard for basically every Japanese brand until very recently. it works perfectly well so long as they're driven sensibly.
also brake dust is confined in the drum so doesn't collect on the wheels like disc brakes do.
Mate, you are having a bad day 😢
When is Abby gonna start wrenching??
Ya think???
No licking your fingers lol lol lol lol
Hardest working tow truck in the world.
I can tell your a real good guy . You don't have a lot of off road toys like the guy's in Utah. You're pockets are not full like the others.

More like being pulled apart
All you can do is try, if it works, problem solved
Dog 1 Mira 0 😅
Why Even Waste time racking the jeep you could have drained the oil and changed it easy on the ground..
Just a friendly suggestion; I think you should focus on getting Blondie finished because pretty soon you'll need to start on a truck for Abby. I can see a whole fleet of wreckers in your future.
He needs to keep his truck going until Blondie is ready.
The last thing he needs is another truck to maintain in my opinion
Drums are for bums.
If I spent 25k on a lift (not counting the slab and shop) my lawnmower and bicycles would go on there for maintenance lol
@@alaefarmestatesllc actually Eric didn't spend any money on his lift.
Tools were meant to get grease on them quit your whining woman 😅😅
What are wifes for? How romantic a couple pointing out their faults. Lord says it's not good for a man to be alone, so he made a wife to give him a helper
