@@jerrygood8523 I do think they have been here longer then most any other off road recovery channel.. but I'm always willing to learn. Please tell me others that you think have been here longer...?
I was hoping to see you take that Snowcat home. Hopefully the next video. They look like a lot of fun. It was real good to see Mara up and running. When she barely made it into the last few videos, I was afraid something may have went bad for her.
Eric, just realized just how far your channel has come since I began watching you, so many years ago. Looks like you got it all, your garage is a dream! Glad to see that Mira is doing better, and all seems to be well with the gang. Great video, yours is one that I watch for always. Great content! Be safe, and God bless!
I have been watching you guys for year's and I live in Utah but I watch your videos before I watch them other channels from my area your awesome the og recovery team
Having watched Vice Grip Garage and his revivals. GM really did nail the electronic ignition. You can get kits to swap the 318 to HEI. Sorry Mara the Sno Cat is needed before the Jeep. Great to see you're all doing well.
Dang that peraon as all the cool toys. I say old panel truck, the 55, 4 door square body dually, can go on & on. Love how she said u can buy it but my truck 1st. Lol love it
I am glad Seat Cover is doing better i am sure you guys will get that snowCat wrecker running it will be a good addition to the fleet especially with the amount of snow you get there.
Is anybody else yelling at the screen to bypass that resistor on the firefall? Its only purpose is to keep the points alive and he said it has electronic ignition. Send that coil a full 12v and let her eat!
Was a Gewd day all around and Everyone had smiles and " thats" all that matters at the day sometimes.... 😏😉🤭👍 Big thx for the share at the homestead... 👋 ☕🐢
For that Mopar engine issue, when they sit a while corrosion can get on the reluctor and pick up in the distributor causing improper resistance which in turn messes with the control module. It must be filed or sanded slightly to clean. A symptom of this issue is it tries to start when stopping cranking and turning the key back to off position. I think I noticed this happen towards the end of the video. Good luck!
Yep, I've seen that as well, and sometimes that happens when you have a bad module as well, though in this case they were getting at least some spark so the module might be OK still.. Toss an MSD on it and be done
I hope you guys keep the 318 in it! Or, if that motor is tired, it might be worth swapping in a 318/360 from a later year. they are way better without having to do major modifications. Better heads, better machining practices, more power.
I had that very same carburetor on my 74 Dodge three-quarter ton pick up and it was no good. We tried to rebuild it. It was just plain junk anyway what I recommend is Edelbrock performer intake manifold with a Carter AFB that’s a good package anyway I would also recommend maybe changing the I forget what you call that box that’s on the firewall I would go with the orange box. It produces a hotter spark I’ve had Mopar’s. Oh Jesus my first car was a 1962 Dodge dart with the Stromberg two barrel great carburetor actually my 71 power wagon 318 Stromberg two barrel excellent but anyway, I still have that 360 motor in my 72 satellite Sebring and I’ll tell you what that’s a very very good package. What I always do is take a small a cup or something the gas won’t damage and fill the bowl up. Don’t dump it down the throat while you’re filling the bowl up through the vent. You’re gonna get some down the throat anyways this is six in a row.Jim from Kennerdell pa
Nice video!! I'm anxious to see that snow cat fire up!! That's going to be a great project!!! I'm looking forward to seeing Mara's truck get build too!!! I know it comes first!! LOL!!
If it it is now electronic, you no longer need the ballast. Once the ballast resistor is hot it will drop the power to the coil to 6 to 8 volts. Just my amateur advice.
Hello BSF! I have been watching since you got a shout out from Matt. you are my local channel! just wanted to say love your content and watching y'all grow. FYI, YT unsubscribed me at some time and not sure why.
Looks to me like you got yourself a Mopar , finally. I know you are a Chevy guy , can't hold that against you. You got a 318 or 360 there , looks to me at least , and Mopar electronics. Watch out for the ballast resister , it will get you sometimes.
Would have been easier to strip the green off. Every scratch and ding will show green.. I'm alittle surprised to see such a short cut. Great video guys. It's been alot of yrs..
Especially with plasti dip. It’s basically designed to peel off and just be a coating. Nice because it’s easy and will stick with minimal/no prep. Gonna take repainting every time it goes out.
Matt has the Bombi stripped down to the bare tub chassis and is completely rebuilding it with some serious upgrades! Twelve-inch wheels and larger tires, new axles, and new engine and transmission.
I hope you get the snow cat that thing looks awesome just may need a ls swap lol that's for robbie. Ps gene do you have the 4.0 in your jeep ? I have one in my wj with a Flowmaster and it sounds just like stock unless you have your ear in the exhaust, so I'm hoping that yours has a nice sound to it.

It’s too bad they didn’t get the snow wrecker up and running. I was really looking forward to it. Rolling out of the grass. But there’s always another day.
I see a snow cat competition brewing. I like the gear lube bottles for priming carburetors.
I sense a Snow Cat Olimpics in the future, lol. If that's the case Eric just doubled down. That's a sweet rig.

Jumper the ballast resistor. Check for better spark,
"my truck comes first". That's right Mara. You tell him. Great to see you back on video. Thanks everyone!
It's the ballast resistor , If not look at the ignition box, I always keep one in the glove box, I've had a lot of old dodge trucks 😊
Sweet snow cat!! Can't wait till you get it home!! Great to see your back and feeling better Mara! Take care
Thank you!!
That snow cat is cool definitely bring that home . I can visualize a winter off road recovery games

I remember those old Tucker's as groomers. They had 318s in them. The new models shine but are not as simple.
KEWL Tucker.........As soon as I heard the starter, I knew it was a 318 or 360. Great to see Abby growing up happy. As well as Gabe back.

A snow cat tow truck that would be a killer build
