Actually the Rerun/The Lost thing is not a bug, after you start your 3rd victory lap or your 4th run, you transform into The Lost without Holy Mantle and D4 and shops will no longer appear, also you lose items that are returned to the pool with each victory lap.
Isnt it actually no more item rooms instead of shops? I just unlocked butter on a 4 victory lap run this week and im fairly certain shops stay but item rooms are gone

The pacing, voice over, script and especially the emotion and real stress in your voice when talking about the harder parts just fucking blows me away every time I rewatch. The fact that all of this is packed into a 15 minute video is a triumph. 11/10 peak content.

JA is one of the many 'video game essayists' on YT and he's also one of the most pompous. I don't recommend his work to anymore, watching an hours long opinion piece on The Witcher 1 is a guaranteed way to waste part of your life that you'll never get back because by the end of it you don't feel like you've learned anything other than his personal feelings. Unless you're married to the dude, I don't see the point. Reviews like this one actually contain humor and get you invested with the reviewer as time goes on. JA doesn't do that in a single one of his videos.
This video is certainly well-made and entertaining, but it's not a good review. It spoils game secrets and shows the endgame. After the introduction, the video also uses "ingame vocabulary", that someone who doesn't know the game will have a hard time understanding. A video game review however is supposed to be spoiler-free and understandable for people who haven't played the game, since it's usually made for these people.

This video made me download the binding of isaac - repentance, And yes, i did buy a new keyboard by dying to delirium with "lost" like 11 times in a row. Putting that aside, the game is an absolute satisfaction with it's item combinations AND the feeling of finishing a post-it note on characters is absolutely orgasmic... Absolutely worth buying (I recommend repentance for more bosses, items and characters), the high playtime compensates for its decent price, the game has no bounds, the community mods are amazing as well:11/10 🤩

I was playing isaac while watching this vid in the backround cuz it was nice backround noise, and when I was in an enemy room I was standing on some red creep (which was my own since I had headless baby) but there were also those brain things that leave behind red creep in the room as well, and it just so happened that during that room the video got to 13:13 and when I heard the death sound my heart dropped thinking I had somehow died
I absolutely adore this game and I can tell you that I have put more hours into it than probably any other game I've played. Now, I'm not some super expert gamer and I knew there was so much to unlock and accomplish in this game, and that I would probably never accomplish it... But this video showed me how much more there is than I even knew, and now I'm convinced I will never complete it in my entire life... But I will probably continue playing it for my entire life. I started playing The Binding of Isaac when the original first came out. It has more replay value than any other game I played. I absolutely fucking love it. I've been playing it for years and even when I got tired of it and had to take a long break from it, I came right back and my interest in it is just as high as it was before. No other game is as fun, satisfying, and immensely replayable as this. Very nice video, by the way.
Do an update, Repentance invalidates a lot of stuff in this video (two Steam Sales is only a 75% discount now, not a 100% discount. You actually can escape the basement now. Delirium is no longer the final boss. More characters. Etc.) and plus it's more of your content so everyone wins. Except maybe your sanity, but honestly it's worth sacrificing that for clicks from the masses.
