  • Ipoh Night market or Upton Ipoh is a huge night market with lots of different foods, clothing and gadgets. It's a place you shouldn't skip while in Ipoh so of course I went to check it out.
I bought some perfume, had lots of food and juices. I met lots of friendly people while being out there as well. If you're in the area I would 100% recommend you to visit this night market!

Malaysian tomyam is improvised and more tasty..
The asam boi is a preserved plum..indeed has salt and sugar in it.. really refreshing..
Btw, most Malaysians are friendly but introvert too.. most of them don't seem like to interfere with strangers or foreigners..but once you mixed around they're quite friendly and loud AF.. 😁✌️🇲🇾

Ipoh and penang are majority chinese. So when you're there you ask the local chinese for recommendation. Ipoh chicken rice is one of the best in whole of malaysia. And there're many many more. Just ask the local Chinese. I'm from the food capital of malaysia, penang, and i love ipoh's chinese food. When you're in Malaysia doing a little bit of research on each state you visit would help you a lot and make your travel much more enjoyable. Take care.

I think the salty taste of the detox drink comes from the preserved plum which are the small round brownish dried plums, you can see floating.
