Tasting the WORLD's SMELLIEST FRUIT (Durian) in Kuala Lumpur 🇲🇾
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 вер 2023
- In this video I'm exploring Jalan Alor street in Kuala Lumpur. This street is the most famous street food street in KL. Together with my friends @KenAbroad , @LukeDamant and @travelescapesOFFICIAL we will try some great food.
As Malaysia is known for durian fruit I decided to start this food trip with a taste test of this notorious fruit. I found a food stall that sold the Musan King which is one of the most expensive durian varieties. Reviews of durian were mixed 🤣
As I couldn't get enough of the durian I decided to try fried durian which was surprisingly delicious!
After that I had a wagyu stick, not Malaysian but delicious nonetheless.
To end the video I had a mixed platter of satay with peanut sauce. I tried lamb, chicken and beef.
Enjoy watching!

Have you tried Durian before? Do you like it? Let me know!
Yes, I have. Yes, I do
i can eat this favorite fruit all day bro. Its king fruit of Malaysia.
Since I was a child eating durian . We have our own durian trees.... yummy yummy yummy 😋😋😋👍
Love it!
There are many different types of durian tho. All with different flavours. So you need to do a durian taste test. Also many more different durian based food. The fruit itself, fried and ice cream as you have tried. But there is also the cake and sometimes in pastries. Enjoy guys .
Ken Abroad already famous in Malaysia.. 😀

Happy that you gave durian a try! 💪 Next time we need to convince Luke to try too 😂
Glad to see you with lovely Tim. 👍🤩🙌
Luke had enough in Indonesia..he will not to try again for sure😂😂
Malaysian durian is different from Indonesian, Thailand & so on..give it a try
Good that you guys don't like durian, otherwise the price of the fruit will be higher
Haha yes, I liked it!
Ken Abroad is well known in Malaysia. He has great info about Malaysia.
Same as Solo Travel and Alana..
Greatest fruit in the whole world mate and Malaysia has the very best of the best 🇲🇾
I still remember your trip to the durian orchard .... incredilicious!
@@AndrewMage we were in heaven
Ken we Malaysian know him as well as Jetlag...welcome to Malaysia...durian is our favourite food...
Haha, you also know Ken, he is another great youtuber I have watch every time.
I remember he once brought durian mochi for his mother in Germany. He thought it was from Malaysia, but it was actually made in Taiwan! They both like it!
The durians there look really delicious, with lots of meat and a very heavy yellow color!
To be honest, there are not many people who can accept Durian for the first time! But if people try it the second time, they maybe will love it more and more as you.
One good way to eat durian is to freeze it, it will change the taste and like perfume ice cream, this way has been popular for more than 20 years. Tim, you can try it next time!
Thanks a lot for sharing this lovely video, wish you all the best. Happy travels! 👍🥰🙏
By the way, I suggest that if you want to eat wagyu beef, go to Japan. The price is reasonable and it’s fresher! 👍😁👌
Mr.Ken is well known in Malaysia. Great blogger.

Wahhh..Ken was already here 2 or 3 tines he's been here since the 1st lockdown.😊..Ken is from Germany, Tim is from Belgium.
Ken is in Singapore now.
Ken just ate the most fresh and best musang king durian in Gua Musang Kelantan..
Malaysia produces the best Durians in the world, so what you paid for was a fair price although some might not agree. And Malaysian satay is different from Indonesian satay which uses more herbs and spices for the marinating process. I prefer the Malaysian version more though. 😊
Agree, Malaysian satay and peanut sauce are rich and delicious, indonesian's quite plain because they dip the meat in soy sauce and roast it..the peanut sauce also plain, not interesting..
Agree.. malaysian satay is simple and tempting
Is that true?we have also lots of durian here in Philippines..in Davao,Mindanao, Philippines is the Durian capital
@bambibayhon Do give the Malaysian Musang King Durian a try, and you'll know the difference. It's not about quantity, it's more about the quality of the Malaysian Durians that makes them so popular and sought after.✌️
@@bambibayhon MALAYSIA's durians are best qualities in the world, Musang King, Black Thorns, Damak King (the new one) and others they were always been under R&D to upgrade these products by the authorities.. Btw, recently Thai's traders smuggled Malaysian's Musang King durians from Raub Durian Orchard, Pahang and renamed them to "Thai Musang King" and exported them to China..see how best are Malaysian's products..✌️
Ken abroad went round malaysia together with jetlag warrior. Loved both their channels. You may ask ken about going round all states in malaysia along with east malaysia sabah and sarawak
and jetlag warrior also back in Malaysia already now. haha, they really cant move on from our beloved country 😄

Thank you for this video. Wonderful. Good to see Ken and Luke exploring with you.
Wowww...i see ken there.....we know ken love satey...
tim, while musang king is the most expensive and the 'best', it has a very strong and pungent taste even for a durian lover like me. i personally prefer the milder ones. Sso for a first timer, the lighter taste kind like the kampung durian may be the better option. there are so many types of durians, my favourite would be the milky and creamy kind and not the bitter kind, i am from Singapore!
Ken the advisor
Once you already know how to eat durians you’ll love it
Haha perfect timing! I just posted my video of us from this day!
im so proud with you tim 🫶🏻
😂 I enjoy watching you guys facial expressions.
Interesting video with 4 musketeers collaborations..👍
If you try eating durian for the first time please try the mild one like durian kampong or less smells one.. Musang King is Malaysian masterpiece.. nothing compares.. Btw, if you wanna eat satay please find authentic Malay satay which can be found in Kampong Baru, Chow Kit Road, Keramat and Ampang.. the taste are different and the best.. when you eat satay and their accessories like rice cube (nasi impit), cucumber and onions they are supposed to be dipped in the peanut sauce first 😋😁
I'm happy if i can eat it everyday... love it so much😋
U bring the whole squad there bro all my fav youtuber there hahaha hope u guys enjoy Malaysia 👍🏼
there are many types of durian..and musang king is among the most expensives..another one is black thorn...

Welcome to Malaysia, jalan-jalan Cari makan 😁
Durian is my favorite fruit .
Durian can warm the body. It is recommended to drink water after eating durian because it can make you thirsty. Especially for those from the west, who are not used to the hot weather in Malaysia
Gud try, please try cendol durian, durian crepe, lots of durian product here in malaysia
Satey is best❤
I love durian and welcome to malaysia ❤
Sometimes you meet someone at the stall, it's not a 🇲🇾 person but a foreign worker from various countries.😆that's why this 🇲🇾 is unique for everyone!😎👍
whole gang in one vid!
Just try to eat it afew times, it takes time to love durian haha. Note: i once hated durian but now a fan!
Everyone knows Ken Abroad
thumbs up
I think I have to make it clear on how you try to order in Malaysia's market 😂
At the wangyu place he said "1 (piece) = 25 ringgit" so people can be a bit confused
we tend to omit some words and simplify our sentence hahahah but its good thing you always ask first before you feel like being scammed
and I'm impressed that the Durian quickly grew in you 🤣
just a fun fact that Malaysia use Durian in a dish too named Tempoyak
and a dessert called Serawa Durian, a type of sauce/gravy which we eat with or without bread
I hope you have a nice stay here in Malaysia really love your videos and reactions to our culture and food ❤
Most Malaysian are fond of durian. I am fond of musang king😘
You can adapt with the smell of durian that's a good sign - you can eat everything related to durian. Delicious satay Malaysian with sambal kacang/peanut. Haha...I also like to drink satay peanut sauce-very tasty.
Surprised to see Ken here!
Hi! Tim, eat the durian with an open mind. Don't listen to comments made by others. I love them but cannot eat too much of it or you will feel feverish. To rid the smell pour clean water on the skin and wash your hand with it. Try it.
As a Malaysian, I love to eat durians with my bare hands. Actually the sugar content of durians is quite high, certain species of durians are sweeter than others. The fried durian you have taken may not have been added with sugar
❤❤❤
Like uncle roger once said
Durian is a fruit smell bad outside delicious content on the inside
If you have the chance to come back to malaysia. I can drive you around Klang Valley to eat Kajang Satay Hj Samuri, Bak Kut Teh in Klang and Village Park Nasi Lemak..
Its not about the smell it's about the ✨TASTE✨
Every type of durian have different taste, n different texture during early season, mid n end. I like durian kampung more n have it fresh after it just fell from the tree...
Actually the first time try durian you will hate it. But after few time its will build up the smell getting better and slowly you will love it like crazy 🤣🤣🤣
