You have made incredible progress in a year's time. I know it's not a race, but I feel like I'm moving at a glacial pace compared to you. Well done, and looking forward to great progress on K&W in 2025!
@@TrainzLuvr Thank you! It was fun to make that video to remind myself of my progress. We each have to move at our own pace, so don't feel bad. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I'm certainly not disappointed! The layout should really start to add a lot of color next year, and not have so much of the "track laid on pink foam" look to it.
@@KandWRailroadersome people recommend black because if anything doesn't cover it would look like shadow, but who wants to look at black until you apply static grass, etc ?
@@christophergalvan8 Design for sure. It can be hard to visualize a scene or how you want track to lay, depending upon what you want to accomplish. Everything else gets easier with practice but design is a challenge every single time...at least it has been for me. However, I also consider layout design to be the most exciting and one of the most rewarding aspects of the hobby, especially once a design comes to fruition.
@@tomuhlig7077 Yes, it's in a basement that is a viewout on one side...well...not anymore...heh heh. It is in an L-shaped room with the large leg measuring 26'x15' and the smaller leg at 14'x5'.

What you think is the hardest on a layout? The design and frame work or all the wiring?

Is this in a basement? If so, how big is the space that this railroad take? I see a window so that confuses me!
