Thank you so so much for sharing this hun! I’ve been seriously contemplating whether to do LPN or RN route. So, after researching and talking with fellow girlfriends who have been through various nursing programs and in the medical field, I’ve decided that the LPN program would be a great first step for me. I plan to take the entrance exam sometime next year once examination resume in Jan 2024. And yes, it is your life and we know ourselves best! I’m definitely at a stage in life where I cannot mentally stay in something too long, so these steps would be beneficial to me AND I can focus on each task. I hope to eventually become a RN one day, but for now this is and will be my journey. I appreciate you sharing this! It was incredibly helpful and encouraging. Take care boo!! 🩵🩵🩵

In my experience, (I work in PA/NJ) a agency or travel, LPN makes more than an RN spends less time in school and pays way less to get their education, so why would I pay more money to make less money? I’m not someone who wants an administrative position, so I don’t really feel the need to get my RN. and if you’re someone who really enjoys long-term care or psychiatrics, most of the nurses, I’ve seen were LPNs anyways. As someone who is 21 years old on their own, there’s no way I would’ve financially been able to go to school for the amount of time it took to get an RN anyway.
Yesss!!! Someone agrees with me! And it wasn’t no walk in the park either, for the ppl that don’t think it’s just as hard because it was ALOT! Now that I finished lpn I definitely feel like doing that first helps! Congratulations to you!

I have had this happen to me so many times. I am taking my pre-reqs and working full time. After I finish taking my pre-reqs and of course tackling the ATI teas test. I want to be an LVN first and then bridge over into an RN program. I have had people tell me why don't you get your RN. I was like “oh heck’s nah” 😂 and of course RN gets paid more because they work with veins and blood and that’s a heavy no for me.
Thank you young lady for this video. I may be an outlier here in the comment section but I will be pursuing a LPN rather than RN due to this being a career change for me. I'm in my mid 40s and have successfully single handedly raised 2 twins who are now both in college. The goal is to transition into the healthcare sector and ultimately use my work and educational background in combination with LPN/nursing to pursue later on leadership administrative role. I do not want to start off seeking the RN due to already having degrees and not wanting to be pigeon hole myself or worse unable to land employment because of the competitiveness of RNs with experience. I've come to assess from research that the LPN route can provide a foundation for not just valuable work experience but income much sooner, lesser debt, less time commitment with school and more insight of whether the RN is necessary. Also, there may be a LPN opportunity with an employer willing to invest or provide tuition support to its employees which will be the incentive for me to further education and invest the time to obtain RN. To sum it up this will be the field that I can see myself retiring from on the administrative side of LPN after having put the hands on work in. All the best to you and others with choosing the LPN in confidence.
And in top of that having clinicals for many hours for rn is crucial. You can get baby nurse first to see how you like it so thank goodness we have this option first

Girl you mentioned about going back for the RN program as an LPN takes about a year, is that really true because according to the little research I’ve done it’s like there’s no shortcut to becoming an RN regardless if you’re an LPN or CNA. I’ll be waiting for your response please
Yes, it’s true. There are LPN-RN bridge programs. I’m currently in RN school. They give you credit for already being a nurse, that’s why it’s a shorter time frame to get your RN.
Hello, I advise you to contact Dr Luther if you are preparing for your nclex, be it RN, PN or CNA He is the reason I and my husband are very happy today working as Rns🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Would you recommend lpn to someone who did their prerequisites for an rn program? I ask because I’m debating on getting an absn (that is expensive 😭) or go the lpn route. I’ve been trying to get into a nursing program but my gpa is average (3.3) and my teas are a 77, and the adn programs in Florida are very competitive
I would suggest the RN program since you already did your prerequisites. That mean you’ll have about a year or so left to get your ADN right? If that route doesn’t work out, you should def get into a LPN program. I was going to do Lpn to BSN route but that 3 years & almost 100K, nope 😂
@@keenabeenaaa Yes I would only have one year to do my adn. That's what I'm thinking, to just do my asn and then have my hospital pay for my bsn. Honestly just wouldn't make too much sense to go for a lpn if I already did my prereqs. I'm leaning towards keiser, it's expensive but at least I know I'll get accepted.
If you will be doing bridge program hope I do see you there because just by your presence you seem kind and hardworking and that’s what it takes to be successful
I’m considering LPN school vs ABSN. The ABSN Program is 15 months but the cost is like 60k. LPN….then LPN to RN…then RN to BSN will take like 3 yrs, but the cost is like 28k 😂 thats a big difference. Do you feel like LPN is hard as well?
Lol girl that’s why I’m doing the LPN to RN first because the LPN to BSN was almost 100k lol. I’m gooood 😂 but yess, the LPN is hard, but it’s worth it.
Even after the Lpn and you Go for RN associates but then afterwards you’d have to get your bachelors right? Curious. Because In Miami Fl they prefer Rn/ Cna/ medical assistant

RN here, I applaud you for going this route. Having a steady income is what matters. Being a LPN is still a great career choice. Hopefully you can find an employer to fund your RN 😂

I'm trying to become an LPN as well speak , been registering for school. Doing my LPN first and then when I make enough money being an LPN I'll go into the RN. Gotta get out of physical labor my body can no longer tolerate the stresses.

Thank you 😊
I needed this
Girl you mentioned about going back for the RN program as an LPN takes about a year, is that really true because according to the little research I’ve done it’s like there’s no shortcut to becoming an RN regardless if you’re an LPN or CNA.
I’ll be waiting for your response please
Yes, it’s true. There are LPN-RN bridge programs. I’m currently in RN school. They give you credit for already being a nurse, that’s why it’s a shorter time frame to get your RN.
I am an RN and have an LPN friend who makes six figures. Do you! There are so many LPN opportunities with great pay without burning out in RN school.

When it comes to pay check, how much is the difference of RN and LVN?
@@keenabeenaaa Actually since your an Lpn you could do the bridge program in Miami Dade. It would only take a year to do your rn.
If you will be doing bridge program hope I do see you there because just by your presence you seem kind and hardworking and that’s what it takes to be successful
Yes I agree girl and congrats 👏 💖 😊
3:23 PERIODDD❤❤❤😂🎉
My story is just like yours. ❤
Very motivational and very enlightening thank you for this
I’m considering LPN school vs ABSN.
@@keenabeenaaa thank u boo!
You have some good advice and sentiments.
Even after the Lpn and you Go for RN associates but then afterwards you’d have to get your bachelors right? Curious. Because In Miami Fl they prefer Rn/ Cna/ medical assistant
Hey, I think some places may require to get a BSN, they usually help pay for you to get the BSN, but most places don’t require the BSN anymore.
I know that’s right girlfriend ❤ congrats!!!
Is there anyone here from Philadelphia who can recommend a school that is not so expensive to study lpn?🙏
If you have family in Delaware it’ll be very beneficial to look into Delaware Skills Center.

Sis I’m following u. I live in Florida as well. I’m debating/ stressing myself out of going to LPN or RN. How much they start/pay u as an entry level? I’m currently a phlebotomist work at HCA Doctors. I just passed my TEAS with height score. Please reply!
Congratulations on passing your TEAS sis!! Proud of you 💕 Do what’s best for you. LPN worked out for me because I wanted to go step by step, now I’m working as a nurse while going back for my RN, gaining some experience.
Hey, I am a canadian Citizen who have been working in clinical research in canada and completed masters but would like to do 12 month LPN/LVN program in usa- could you please suggest some community colleges where I can complete this course in 12 months at a low tuition fee? Thanks so much

And in top of that having clinicals for many hours for rn is crucial. You can get baby nurse first to see how you like it so thank goodness we have this option first
