I don’t know about India, but they’re mandatory for some reason in Europe as well. Ram for example finally started putting them in the area between the tailgate and the bumper, because the stickers they used prior to that looked so silly.
Same way European cars have side reflectors in the U.S. (even though they sometimes look like an afterthought, like on the previous generations G class), because they don’t need those in Europe.

    • @ivan23caravantes44

@@arx4-571 yeah, if a bicycle has to have reflectors on the wheels and front and back lights at night then definitely vehicles have always had that government mandate in the USA for at least the last 60 years. That's why many car companies have the lights that wrap around the corners because that's the side reflectors. But these truck's didn't need 3 on the entire side... they just thought it was nice to see it on a front fender of a Honda so they decided to make it better and improved. Like I said. I would have made it a solid yellow to red light bar like the front LED light bar on the new electric F-150

This Chevy truck is almost as luxurious yet gets much better fuel economy, way more power, can tow 5 of those range rovers on a trailer and much more spacious interior. Plus this truck is $60-65k new and 4-5 years later with 100k miles it’s still worth about $50-55k.

It is mostly used to carry around construction materials or for goods transport so you have the cheap 2 seater local brand pick up which get the job done for less 1/3 the price of a GMC truck. Very few people buy trucks in India as a lifestyle vehicle.. SUVs are more popular in India

To Americans in the comment section - we do have trucks here too, folks. The Isuzu Dmax sells okay, and is priced between the equivalent of $23000 and $35000, ex-showroom. It is slightly bigger than a Taco. The Tata Xenon is another example. Ex showroom prices what a car costs in a particular state before the road tax, insurance, and service charges are applied. The real price is called the ‘on-road’ price. :) as you can see, a full size truck or a dually may not manoeuvre our narrow local streets well. But it will do well on the highways. Ford is finally bringing the Raptor to India at the end of ‘21/beginning of ‘22. I can only imagine the line at the showrooms.
