I think this was very helpful and clear. I think it will really help my coloring to put more thought into it at the beginning. I'm one of those that wants to put every color I own into my projects. I knew it wasn't as effective, but seeing your examples that are more controlled really brings it home that a limited pallette is better. Thank you so much! I am looking forward to seeing more of your work!
Wow your tips were very helpful I love the one pattern piece where you talk about the starting point ever at the corner or the middle I love the design seed on Pinterest I forgot what's the name of the other one this video was very fun thank you so much for sharing it have a bless one creative colorful hugs to you
I love 💕 these Tips! I love the piece You say do not like because of the color! Your right do not give up! I started a piece with Gel White Pens - the ones everyone uses! Well, Sakura pens and Uni- ball Signo, we are always in a fight to the death! The piece was started in Summer 2917 on Strathmore Black Paper-I Just finished it last night. 01/05/2017. My inspiration came in an Art Box 📦- it is a Sharpe Watercolour white Marker, a package of fine Liners from a different Art Box 📦. I am so pleased 😀 I kept my work in Progress.
Thanks Sherrie - I think its always good to keep work in progress and half finished pictures, you can always come back and revisit them:) I actually like the posca white paint pen for my highlights. Your piece sounds really cool, white on black:)
Thank you for explaining! So much great information. I especially found what you said about the limited palette useful. This cleared everything up about mixing colors for me. Thanks a lot! :D
+amber h You're very welcome, thank you for watching and I'm very happy that you found it helpful. I find that using a limited color palette makes such a big difference to my own my artwork that it had to be tip number one :)

Hey Maisie...just a quick note....at 1:57 you have spelt palette incorrectly. The way you spelt it is for a wooden pallet that you ship things on...not a palette of colours. Love the video....you go girl!
Awesome! I really liked the video...and you are on my list of videos to make as soon as I get through this #LoveSpringArt event. I am sooooooooooooooooooooo not ready this month!
I know what you mean, this month is pretty hectic for me too:) I'm working on the next event video at the moment and my next set of colouring pages. . . that and drinking lots of tea of course:)
I bought it direct from the publishers - you get a signed copy that way:) Here's the website if you're interested - www.giantmountainpublishing.com/colorfeast/colorfeast.html

I'm very glad you found it helpful. It can be hard to resist the call of the many colours but I always feel that less is more in these situations:)

10:25 You might want to challenge your self with minimal contrast and no outlines. I love those intriguing patterns, they seem to be iridescent.
Yes that would be a good challenge:)
