i have never in my life been this hype for a game- There's something about the trailers, the comunity and everything else- It just scratches my brain in all the right places, to the point that when i sleep, i dream of playing the game! And now that the main ost is out, it just gets me more pumped!
The crazy thing is I feel just like this with each Monster Hunter game and nothing else in media.

Well, they revealed the "Scarlet Forest" which looks A LOT like the primal forest from the 4th gen
The first monster hunter wilds trailer begins on a sandship. MH4U began on a sandship. There are lots of connections with 4th gen which was my favorite so I'm happy!!!!

And more: I have an suggestion of video game react vídeo. The suggestion comes from a game that I have a lot of affection for called Thumper, it has few tracks, but these few surpass each other in terms of quality and atmosphere.

I love how this OST gives this vibe of "We live in a beautiful and prosperous world"
Its both triumphant and serene
This goes straight under gen ultimate as my second favorite proof of a hero.
Also, I would love a video on the Great Maccao theme. Its the only starter monster to get a unique theme, and they absolutely nailed it.
I was just thinking that the first part made me nostalgic but didn't know why my first thought was maybe from watching Jurassic Park when I was little and then you said "to one with life".
MH music really is beautiful
Gemma as a character is a walking reference to fourth gen. Also, the character who chooses us as the lead hunter is the ace lancer.
We aren't the lead hunter, is the boy's father, we are the hunter assigned to find him or why he's missing, but yeah both are references of 4th gen

Great analysis Davi, in fact when you said that they were referencing MH4U, there are actually some characters that come back to wilds like the ace lancer or the little miss forge
This reminds me so much of the good ol' days with 4U (I typed this before you said it was a 4U composer lmao). It feels perfectly Monster Huntery, like a proper return to form. This feels really strongly supported by the trailer footage with the village being much more tribal, more natural. The main theme has elements evoking sensations of harmony, peace, adventure, turmoil, danger, duty, and heroism, so I am so freaking excited to see how this game's story unfolds! Hard to believe I'm saying that about a Monster Hunter game of all things! 🤣
Hope they bring back the writers from 4u as well, that'll be so sick

Hype train full steam ahead!
Not even halfway through with the video & Davi is out here, fact bombing my emotions with the callbacks to the Tri OST & the emotional punch that Tri delivers musically. Wilds definitely borrows from Tri in that regard & it's so majestic & beautiful that I'm just getting teary-eyed listening to Tri & Wilds back to back. The fact that this main theme isn't even the finalized composition & instead a live orchestral rendition, to borrow from Marcomeatball myself: "Music, man. Fuck."
Man i absolutely can not wait for this game.

The theme is absolutely beautiful. I love the feeling of discovery and adventure it evokes, and it fits the aesthetic of the game perfectly.

The beginning reminds me a little bit of Ori, with that piano and soft/ peaceful overall atmosphere
There isnt quite underwater combat, but we now know there are underwater segments... we're one step closer to a modern tri

Have you noticed, that it kind of has three parts, like the environments do now? First it's pretty but doesn't go super hard, just like the "fallow" state. Next, it introduces danger and probably depicts the monsters or the storm of the desert. The last part is really rich and heroic, just like the hunters or the "plenty" state of the maps. It loops and becomes more silent in the very end - fallow again.

Being a music afficionado, maybe you might hear what I do. The entire tone and structure of the piece reminds me HEAVILY of the hollywood Biblical epics, specifically The Ten Commandments and Ben Hur. There is also a bit of Disney's Dinosaur in there as well. It has that majesty to it, but not in the thumping kind of way MH music usually does. As you say there's no violence in it, but rather that expansive feeling that calls to nature and the untamed world. Very thematic.

Speaking of fourth gen references, in one of the previous trailers they showed someone that looks suspiciously similar to the Ace Lancer from 4U

Omg pls pls pls react to the music of rain world!!! It’s some of the best and most emotional video game music I’ve ever had the pleasure to experience, and one of the best, most fun, and most challenging games I’ve ever played. I highly recommend checking out a few of the songs from the game like Pictures of the Past, Sundown, Moondown, Satellite, Slaughter, Wind Chimes, Random Gods, Superstructure Threat, Sky Islands Threat, Unseen Lands, Gate to Shoreline, etc. The songs are pretty short as well but they’re so good.

I love how this piece starts out slow and builds up atmosphere, similar to the original Proof of a Hero.
You also mentioned To One With Life, and I definitely hear the similarities. Yeah, this piece definitely has a level of reverence to it.

MH World gave us the true understanding of the ecosystem with the Monsters Involvement, MH Wild will give us the true understanding of our placement as Hunters with-in that ecosystem World set up.
I've not played many MH's before World as the barrier to entry was just too much for me to really engross myself in the lore, etc. in a fun manner, so apologies for being a World-baby in the series and please forgive my ignorance if this has been done before as a theme. Rise/Sunbreak I did not care for as it was too fast of combat for my expectations set for the game with World; and from my understanding it doesn't hold as much weight given it's essentially a spin-off that's semi-noncanon, so I also didn't get so engrossed with the lore there either.
It’s not a spin-off lmao. There’s two teams mainline and portable. And it is entirely canon, portable games are also more popular in Japan so it does hold as much weight. If you don’t like the game that’s fine but you don’t need make up random bs about it 😂.
