Those older BMW 7 series and the VW busses are worth very big $$$ once fixed up. However many of the parts for those cars are either obsolete or prohibitively expensive if you can find them so in many cases you may either have to get creative with aftermarket stuff or in some cases you might even have to try and fabricate these parts from scratch. It would be a big undertaking but a very good investments. A lot of those older BMWs have the Bosch jetronic fuel system and when those cars sit for long periods of time the entire fuel system gets gummed up and corroded and you have to replace everything. With parts and labor it's typically upwards of $3k just to sort out the fuel system and possibly get the car running. That being said, yes it would make for some good content but everything adds up quickly in terms of costs so you have to budget wisely. Good luck with everything!
Agree with others. Most of those cars are pretty rough. Would be a challenge even getting them out of those woods, need chainsaw and loppers to cut out the trees and saplings. I'm really sad for the widow who could probably use money, but I'm not sure how to make it financially viable for anyone except for pick & pull junkyard type harvesting of parts? Then she'd be left with rusting hulks. appreciate the tour through old volvo, mercedes, and VW land. I believe it is spoken for already.
Volvo owners have a certain image in this part of the world, but damn, if I wouldn't love a 242. Also, if it hasn't got the wood marble seat cover, don't even talk to me.
Wood marble seat cover for the win!!!
I hope you understand that those old mercedesses are valuable for project cars or older cars to keep in condition. New parts are not available
I would like to save one!
Those W123s could bring a few quick dollars
Someone else has spoken for them already

GLE There you have a Nice modell Wide lists b23e engine m46 transmission and Electric luxiry

I have never seen a 242 in the UK. Would be a shame to see all those Volvo's go to scrap.
I am saving most of them. The rough ones will be used as parts!
