Sweet Hitchcock collection, I have a a small size Hitchcock collection, but it's growing. My favorite film of his would probably be Psycho. My favorite part about it is how timeless it is, it never gets old and doesn't seem as old as it is.

Robbie, when you have time and the opportunity, check out Hitch's British movies. The original "The Man Who Knew Too Much", "The 39 Steps", and "The Lady Vanishes" are spectacular films for someone who was learning with his early films. I agree: "Rebecca" is a movie that keeps "echoing" in my mind after seeing it. Hitch knew how to "scare" his audiences as "Psycho" so well illustrates.

@@RobbieWebster Great! Then you fully know the greatness that was Hitchcock!
Most Americans base their feelings for Hitch on the standard: Psycho, The Man Who Knew Too Much (American version), North By Northwest and Vertigo.
All great movies, but it is the way Hitch grew from his early British movies that is so exciting and relevant!

Amazing Hitchcock collection! A real fan! Well, I've been trying to watch more Hitchcock movies. I have the Brazilian version of the "Alfred Hitchcock: The Masterpiece Collection" blu-ray box set, which comes with 14 movies, and I also have the blu-rays of other two movies (Dial M for Murder and Strangers on a Train) and three dvds (Psycho, Vertigo and To Catch a Thief). I still want to get the Classic Collection blu-ray box and the Criterion editions of some of them. I still have a lot to learn about the Hitchcock filmography, I've only watched a little more than 10 of his movies so far.

Sounds like you're off to a pretty good start with your Hitchcock collection. I envy you getting to see the rest of his films for the first time. Thanks for the nice comment :)

You should see my Hitchcock blu-Ray box set, it's immaculate.
It's the ultimate filmmakers special edition.
16 separate Blu-Rays, each within its own mini film canister.
Look it up, I'm sure you'd be interested. They're pretty limited though as far as I know.

    Hey Robbie, great video!
That's a sweet collection, I'd like to have something like that for Hitchcock one day, though I currently only have three Blu-Rays (Psycho, North By Northwest and Rear Window)! I want to call him my favourite director, though I can't because I've only seen about 5 of his films. That being said, one of them is my favourite film of all time (Rear Window) and the other is still in my top 5 (North By Northwest). I don't know if your interested, but here are the ones I've seen:
    Rear Window
    North By Northwest
    Vertigo
    Psycho
    The Birds
    The Foreign Correspondent
I was wondering, what ones are essential for me to see as a budding Hitchcock fan. One day I would like to see all of them, however at the moment I'd like to know the essentials. I currently really want to check out Rebecca, Lifeboat & To Catch A Thief, but what others would you say are must-see? Any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks for the great video anyway Robbie, keep it up and all the best!

I have a Hitchcock collection, though not as many as you have :). Surprised you don't have the "Masterpiece Collection", it's fantastic. Wish I could have picked up the Criterion set, but I have the Premiere Collection, which many had faulty DVDs from, thankfully my set was fine.

How does the Criterion Foreign Correspondent compare to the Warner one in the box set? I've been putting off buying it because the Warner one was so good. Seems like it'd be a waste of money except for the collectible aspect.

It's in there in three of the sets I showed. I heard they're remastering it, but I don't know the details. I'm sure I'll pick that up when I can.
