@@TheT00lShed Milwaukee has made more mistakes by cranking out “new and improved” tools too fast. The high torque impact wrench was a disaster, and it looks like the gen 4 impact driver has problems too.
@@TheT00lShedI agree. The Auto Mode on the Milwaukee is second to none. It stops on a dime after reaching 35 ft lbs of fastening torque. The Ridgid is nice, but the auto mode isn’t as responsive. Aside from that, both tools are very comparable with their nut busting torque claims. I give the Milwaukee the slight edge on better features and the Ridgid the edge on a better warranty. It’s tough to beat that LSA.
Actually ridgids newer mid torque as shown is the 1 that improved from the octane model cuz this mid torque would beat the octane mid torque but the high torque is preferable in the octane variant for myself at least
Oh my god you don't even know what the tool is It's an impact wrench It's not an impact driver and then you called a drill in the middle of video and if you want to pin the tent on the anvil which is where the soccer goes on you can get one That one has a hog ring oh my God what a video just for clicks
Thank you for your feedback Darren. You’re right my license for working on heavy equipment and years in the trade equated for zero knowledge on proper descriptive nouns for UA-cam. I will put in my resignation at work and tell them that Darren Porsche is the proper fit for the job since he is the all knowing
I’m glad I found this video because I’m thinking about buying one.
Detent pins are for professionals that use the same socket all day.
Ridgid is owned by TTI, which is the company that also owns Ryobi, Milwaukee and Hart.
I’ve seen videos of professionals using Ridgid tools.
Some channels are saying that the Ridgid is basically an orange Milwaukee.
You can get this model with the detent pin.
I can see where they are coming from, but it is missing a few features that Milwaukee has

You can also get the high torque version.
Also,a professional mechanic I follow on UA-cam uses a Ridgid impact in almost every video.
the manufacturer looks legit
I was very impressed
The tool failed to remove a rear strut bolt/nut on my 97 celica. 😕
Damm not good to hear, I'm looking for a quality is impact
@@ceezfoe2092 bought two rigid impacts, this and a 3/8 right angle impact during Black Friday and both aren’t worth a damn.
U can't use a 2 amp battery and expect a miracle
@@tmac6593 I don't even own a 2Ah, genius.
Gotta put a larger battery on it.
I was using what was provided but I agree with you
I like the old Gen better!!
Never got a chance to try it, what did you prefer about it?
