Me and my abuelita was soooo excited through this game, she was so glad to have a QB to demolish "Dem damned bears..." 😆 she was in a love/hate relationship with football when it was the 80s. I miss the stories and VHS tapes she used to watch with me...this was the game that stuck with me as a kid...#gopackgo
I was at this game. The weather was epic and I stayed for the whole game. It was Halloween night. I also went to the rematch in Green Bay in December. I brought a sign that said "Halloween 2". The Packers won the rematch 40-3. After the game, I got Fuzzy Thurston to pose for a photo with me and my sign. I got the picture blown up and Fuzzy had it hanging in his bar for a few years.
Packers dominated that game. Brett Favre and the Packers started to dominate the Bears started on that game and just went on a winning streak until 1999. Favre started 11 game winning streak at Soldier Field in 1994 and finally lose in December 2005 in Chicago.
I Hated him at the time as a Bears fan, but i love and respect that WARRIOR of a Man now! Hes still the BEST QB ive ever seen, he would never lose! Yeah Brady BLAH BLAH BLAH, Favre did it when it WASNT a passing league YET
American Eagle flight 4184, coming from Indianapolis to Chicago, went down in this mess. Crashed nose down in Roselawn Indiana. Severe icing was too much for the plane to handle. Lost a high school classmate on this plane.
My dad was in Indianapolis at a business conference with several people that were on AE 4184. He drove back to Chicago(northwest Indiana) That night. The NTSB blamed the manufacturer of the ATR-72, the plane involved, for not including sufficient information in the training manual regarding the possible dangers in regards to icing. A sheet of ice broke free and pushed the aileron causing loss of control. Deicing at the airport should have been done as well. It was absolute terror for everyone on board, they knew death was imminent for over a minute.
This was the game that truly began GB's run of dominance vs. the Bears. Outside of a 1989 sweep, CHI had owned the Packers from 1984-1991 losing only one game in the other 7 years. In Favre's first two years, CHI and GB actually split games in 1992-1993 and the Bears had scored 3 defensive touchdowns vs. GB in December '93 at Soldier Field. This began a stretch of 11 straight wins for Favre at Soldier Field, GB didn't lose to them period until November 1999, and lost only 3 times period from 1994-2004.
Before Favre got to Green Bay it was 80-57-6 Bears, with Loves first win over Chicago in 2023 it’s 106-95-6 Packers that’s 30 years of dominance of what 49-15 Packers
I was at this game it was crazy most of the fans went for cover there was only a handful and yes I was one of them that stayed in my seat while it poured down rain so hard you couldn't even see the field. They retired dick buckets' jersey that night.❤rip dick butkus 😢
Being from the west coast I have traveled to a lot of different games in the Midwest and the east coast and the one thing I learned is that whole “ west coast fans are soft and don’t do bad weather” is a joke. This game was 49 degrees with 10 mph winds and there 30,000 no shows??? I was at a badgers game against the huskers and in the third quarter it started to rain I would say 10-15,000 got up and left. I’ve learned it’s the same out here only diehards really will put up with the conditions

before Favre and Rodgers there was Don Majkowski that started the winning streak

This was an amazing game - got the chance to watch on armed forces radio and television service (AFRTS) in Europe.
Love the throwbacks
Brett Favre started the streak against the Bears.
2:50 that prediction turned out to be pretty accurate.
later in the 1994 season, the packers DID beat the bears 40-3 at Lambeau.
The version of Heavy Action used here is also called "Scary Action"
I remember Bryce Paup doing his thing! Love the throwback’s that season.

This Monday Night Football intro is the funeral for the neighbors who cause injustice.
Gale Sayers R.I.P
25:34 Dan Dierdorf's jack-o-lantern design looks more like Norm Abram from _This Old House._
