Thanks for sharing these classic Bears games...I sincerely appreciate them, even though some of them are a tad bit before my time---they still bring back sweet memories. Thanks ✌
I remember watching this game on tv. Bears gave the 49ers a taste of the 46 defense. They played the Chargers that season. And gave them a taste too. The Bears shut down those two high flying offenses. And won botj games.
Let's see how close I can get this...3rd straight win for the Bears, they go to Green Bay the next week and lose a heartbreaker. They then win the last two games to finish at 8-8. Many consider this game is where the Bears started to show their dominance on defense
Correct 3:00 Bears start 2 rookie DBs, then on 3rd doswn rookie 0# 95 Richard Dent comes on. Dent got 1st NFL sack in this game, led NFL with 17 sacks in "84 (not including several vs Joe Theisman in the playoffs, then dominated '85 postseason. Even if Bears beat Pack week 14, Bears lose tiebreakers to Rams/Lions Had they beaten the Rams week 10, Bears Cowboys/Ditka Landry would have been the Wildcard matchup.
The 85 Bears were dominant and won Super Bowl 20 but underachieved the rest of the 1980s but my 49ers won 4 Super Bowls in '80s decade to become the Team of the Decade lol. Go 49ers.
What a great game! Jim mcmahon with bears Vs Joe montana with 49ers. since this game Mcmahon might have a confidence to defeat Montana. I am happy to watch that Jim seemed to be healthy without injuries in that year. He has suffered from pains from injuries and concussions.
Thanks for posting! Geez...it sure would help if CBS had the score posted throughout the game. It also would be a good idea to post updates around the league on the bottom of the screen. ESPN, Fox and NBC do such a better job with that.
Not then they didn't, remember Maddens telestrater was considered high tech. Lack of screen graphics was really really undone by espn nascar and nfl and nascar fox. I could be totally wrong but that's how I remember (misremember) I dunno.
7:29 Gault drops a beautiful deep pass. I bet someone could make a 45 min clip of Gault dropping wide open deep bombs during his career.

Awesome! Thanks for the upload
Niners got even in the 1984 NFC Championship when the Niners shutdown the Bears 23-0.
At 28:09 Mike Singletary takes out a ref!

Go 49ers.
Jazz burris
But you're not better than the cowboys. P.S. they are not your 49ers you don't own the team genius.
No they did not.
