The pencil skirt is better the other was defo better turned over a longer jumper would cover the tummy area. The colour of the jumper suits you like the jumper.
Love the pencil skirt on you, I agree it's the most flattering of the two! However, I think an A-line would also look great on you in a less stretchy fabric and in petite proportions. Then then length would be shorter of course but more importantly the flare should start higher up and smooth over the bottom of your tummy. It might be hit or miss with A-lines for you but don't dismiss it entirely because the swish of a well fitting A-line is delicious and the movement of the fabric hides multiple sins, especially on the move!
Hi, totally agree I think I will search for some better cut a line skirts as this one was cut on the bias which meant the flare didn't hit at the best point on me. I love how you have described an item of clothing delicious, that did make me smile. Thank you for taking the time to comment and give some excellent constructive feedback. I look forward to hearing from you again as I take on board all comments xx
You do really interesting Videos Susan. Yes, if the full skirt flowed from the waist, maybe it would have looked better. It's not great though, so I'd leave it, as it drowns your figure. The straight skirt looks great on you, and looks lovely with that very pretty jumper. The jumper isnt usually my style but, having seen it on you, I'd definitely buy one! The colours and embellishments are lovely on you. It doesnt widen you at all. You've inspired me to try a boat neck style top.( I'm the same height and size as you) Im going to look for that style neckline for myself. Many thanks x
Hi Jacqueline, thank you ❤️ that is such a lovely thing to read and certainly made my day. I share my, mistakes, highs and lows with you all and it's great to read that my fashion journey is interesting and even influenced you to try new styles out. xx
Hi Susan , like both the skirts but feel the pencil cut was the most flattering , I don’t wear skirts too often as I much prefer the comfort of trousers and smart leggings . The jumper although not my aesthetic is very pretty and looks super nice on you . Much love Susan , 💐❤️💙
Absolutely the pencil skirt is the right one for you. The fitted style is always going to flTter. The jumper goes beautifully with the skirt a !lovely outfit and I can see you getting !lots of seats from them both❤❤
Hi Norma, I agree im much more comfortable in trousers too, hence my delve into what skirt styles suit as it would be good to have skirts that I feel just as good in. Thank you for all your support I really appreciate loyal subscribers like yourself x
Hi Susan The jumper is absolutely beautiful on you. The straight skirt is lovely on you. The jumper you could wear with jeans also. Personally I haven’t worn a straight skirt since I was in my 20s . The jumper compliments the skirt. I like this myself. I got some fair isle jumpers I bought in the sale last year All the best and see you in the next one xx
Hi Susan! This was a really interesting experiment, and I agree that the second skirt was the better of the two. However, can I just say that I think you look much nicer in trousers and dresses? Those M&S trousers really suit and flatter you, as do some of the dresses you've tried on in hauls. I think skirts can be quite difficult to pull off if you're plus sized. Personally I never wear them as I do find it hard to find a shape that flatters - or at least flatters as much as other things. Anyway, those are my thoughts for what they're worth. The jumper was fab though! Xx
Hi Elizabeth, I always appreciate constructive criticism so thank you for taking the time to comment. I agree I feel more comfortable in trousers and dresses but always to have alternatives in the wardrobe hence why I did this experiment. x

Hi Marie, it is a lovely skirt, so much better than a line one though I think the issue was that it was cut on the bias so not as flattering 😏
