Hi Susan…Isn’t it frustrating when the same size varies so much with the same company…Grrr!!? My favourite was the first dress it just skimmed over you it was so flattering. The second was lovely too. I wouldn’t bother with the last one. Hope you have enjoyed your cruise. ⛴️ x🌸
Great haul, Susan. The first dress looked fab and wasn't too big at all. It skimmed and flattered you really well and looked really cute with the tights and boots. The second dress was OK but looked a bit snug on the hips so didn't hang properly and stuck out strangely. Dress 3 also didn't flatter you, much too clingy I think. The berry colours really suit you! ❤
Hi Susan The first dress you tried on is brilliant on you. The seaming on the front is actually meant to flatter the apple shape and it’s worked for you The second dress would be suitable for a tunic but sadly the last dress was too small . The best dress l. You was the first one that you tried on as it really flattered you All the best and have a nice week. See you in the next one xx
Hi Susan , love the first dress it fits so well and is very flattering , I also really like the third dress but you do need to size up I agree . I like fitted clothes but not clingy , too many lumps and bumps for that 😂. Much love Susan 💐❤️💙
Hi Susan the dresses look lovely on you definitely not frumpy , I agree with you size down on the first dress ( which is my favourite and and the colour really suits you ) and up on the last one, l find sizing frustrating they vary so much as you say 😊
Hi Susan! I loved all three dresses but how frustrating re the differing measurements! Having said that, I love that look and feel it really suits you too!
Morning Susan l like the first dress was lovely on you and second dress was really lovely on you and last dress you wouldn’t have to be size up but my favourite on were the first dress and the second dress I have enjoyed watching your Roman haul I was looking at them other day and thinking about wish I could go for thanks for sharing your outfit Susan ❤xx
I liked the first dress Susan if you get the size down I think that would be the best of the three, the second one is lovely too but felt the last one aged you a bit to be honest it did have the best fit though. If you wear a long scarf or long necklace with no 1 would elevate it even more.
Hi Susan the first berry coloured dress, definately a keep, you looked fab in the dress, purple dress i liked aswell but have the feeling you may have returned it? i wouldn't have chosen the patterned dress for myself but on you it looked nice, i think you have returned that one aswell, lol, hope you've had a great day,x💕
I see you've got your new cardigan on! Looks super! The first dress is very nice but as you say, it does look a bit too big. Often times "big and baggy" makes a person look bigger than they are instead of hiding what you aren't happy with. I like the purple dress! Yes, it is more fitted and that is a plus! It gives you some shape and definition whereas the berry dress did not. The color is especially flattering on your lighter hair and skin and purple is considered "the color of kings"! A simple dress like that can be easily styled up or down with a scarf, jewelry, a bright handbag, or a contrasting longer vest. I really like the texture of it - that makes it look quite expensive! Pockets in a dress shouldn't be a deal-breaker! Pockets make a dress look more casual if you think about it. Have you ever seen a fancy dress with pockets? LOL! I never use the pockets in my clothing because I have a purse for that. The hounds tooth dress is quite nice too. Yes, it is tighter and doesn't "disguise" your problem areas, but of all three dresses, that one makes you look the slimmest! As with the purple dress, it gives you a shape which the first one didn't. But it does not look unsightly or silly. It looks quite nice but the hounds tooth gives it a more casual look in comparison to the purple one. It looks almost "school girl"! I would imagine what you have in mind for the venue of these dresses is going to influence your choice. And non-matching patterns is definitely a problem with clothing. Something like a check, if not matched up makes the item look cheap. And I've seen expense clothing where the patterns don't match either, so it's often got little to do with how much you pay. You have to actually see the item! Another fun and interesting video! Thank you, Susan!
Hiya, I think you have hit the nail on the head. Sometimes disguising isn't the best idea if by disguising the flaws you've also hidden your pluses! Glad you've found it fun and interesting as im loving making all these videos xx
Hi Susan. New to your channel. Watched a few now and thoroughly enjoyed them. Nice dresses. I have the same problem with some smock dresses clinging a bit but I add a belt on the smaller part of the waist which seems to create a falling pleat effect to the skirt part thereby helping it to skim and hang better over our tums and bums, especially with the first dress. Love the pattern of the last one ❤xx
Hi Terri, a belated welcome to the channel 💐ive been away so just catching up on comments. I always appreciate feedback especially as well thought out and helpful as yours. I hope you watch more videos and comment too 🤗 x
@susanknight7091 Thank you for giving us good, interesting, informative and useful content. Always a great watch. Hope you've had a lovely time away ❤️ xx
I woudn't call them smock dresses. Smock gives me visions of a garment with gathers above the bust! The burgundy is a swing dress which will typically have pockets. I think it's a style that can look very youthful with the right tights and footwear. The tunic I would just call an A line and the dogtooth pattern a straight shift.
Sizes are all over the place! I ordered an evening top from Roman in my usual size 20. Too big , I then sent for an 18. and 16! Ended up believe it or not with a 16!!! 😲
Hi Valerie, that's why I always have to say im an 18 to a 22 depending on style and where it's from. A size is just a number on a label but it does feel good when its a smaller number lol xx
How annoying is that three dresses ,same size but all a slightly different fit - just shows how variable sizing can be. Didn"t like Dress 3 but then I am not a lover of that type of check, dresses 1 and 2 looked lovely However my issue is the fabric personally I polyester as much as possible and I 'felt they were quite expensive for what are relatively plain dresses.. I have not bought from Roman before but I understand that when returning items there is fed that you have to pay - not happy about hence would not shop with them. Interesting video that you presented really well looking forwarc to your next one ❤❤
Hi Norma, your assessment is so accurate. Roman clothes do seem to be on the higher price range. A tip for ordering Roman clothes is to buy through Next as no return fee 😜 x
Loved the first dress most. Can I ask you…….were you or are you still a school teacher? You are not under any obligation to ligation to reply if you don’t want to!
Hi Laurie, I do agree with you about trying before you buy. But unfortunately I live in a rural area so don't travel to town as often as I'd like. Plus I find there is so much more choice online, ordering and returning obviously takes time but is my best option although often very frustrating!! xx
Hi Jean, pretty much sums up my thoughts too, I watched your m and s video today and meant to comment. You looked stunning in the brown mini skirt, so much so im tempted by it myself xx
I have several dresses, in this style, from Roman. I love to wear them with, either, ankle or knee length boots. Or with leggings under them ( if they're a bit shorter) and ankle boots . I wear them a lot in Autumn, Winter and early Spring. I love Dress 1. The colour is beautiful and, either, a tonal scarf or long necklace will look great, too. The colour, 'pattern' and material of Dress 2 isn't to my personal taste.I feel It would work better if worn as a tunic, maybe ? I wanted to like Dress 3, but the unmatched pattern is a firm No from me. The dress looks too matronly, and 'ages' you, I feel. ( I'm so sorry! That's just my immediate thought) You're far too young and vibrant for it ! Thank you for the Vlog , Susan
I think the first dress is a perfect size on you and very flattering, it fits your shoulders and boobs so definitely not too big, it's how it's meant to fit, (take note of how it fits on the model) The 2nd dress is a little too small and shows more lumps and bumps than I'd be comfortable with. Third dress is a nope for me and I think a bigger size would be too big on your shoulders. One more thing, these are more tunic dresses, not smocked, a smocked dress is gathered over the boobs/chest area, not a flattering style for bigger boobed ladies lol x
Lovely selection of dresses Susan! Personally I think that the houndstooth suits you best (if you size up of course!). The pattern and slight details of the pockets and the cuffs makes it special and that slight scoop neck suits you so well! BTW, I'd call that rosy red colour cherry. 😊 Whilst I love the colour and fit of the berry coloured one (I'm undecided if you should size down, I think it fits beautiful as is), I really think that straight neckline cuts off your head and makes your neck disappear! Maybe if you wore your hair up? I'm not going to comment much on the purple one because I just can't see past the purple! It seems to be wearing you instead of making you shine and I'm not a fan of purple! All three would look fab with a black moto jacket. Anyhoo, that's my two euro cents' worth 😊 Thank you for the great content!
The first dress looked great perfect size I wouldn’t change it for a smaller one.
Hi Lesley, thank you for the compliment, feedback from viewers is so important it really helps me see things that I didn't at the time 🤗
Hey Susan, the ist two dresses were fantastic on you,I'd call them jumper dresses, look great with the boots too.❤
Hi Fiona, a great shape and one I will explore more xx
Hi Susan…Isn’t it frustrating when the same size varies so much with the same company…Grrr!!? My favourite was the first dress it just skimmed over you it was so flattering. The second was lovely too. I wouldn’t bother with the last one. Hope you have enjoyed your cruise. ⛴️ x🌸
Hi Rita, thank you, who can not enjoy a cruise. Literally just got back. Lets hope the memories last longer than the tan lol x
Hi Elizabeth, I love berry colour too but hit and miss with the dress styles ❤️
Morning Susan, I love the first two dresses on you, the colour suits you too 😊 have a lovely day x
Hi Mitsi, thank you, the dresses would suit your new wig well lol xx
Hi Susan
The first dress you tried on is brilliant on you. All the best and have a nice week. See you in the next one xx
Hi Rhian, one out of three isn't such bad odds lol xx
I like the first two dresses the best. Love the colours xx
Hi Rhian, bright and cheerful colours but a bit more miss than hit with styles and fit xx
Hi Susan , love the first dress it fits so well and is very flattering , I also really like the third dress but you do need to size up I agree . I like fitted clothes but not clingy , too many lumps and bumps for that 😂. Much love Susan 💐❤️💙
Hi Sue, was interesting to see how seemingly similar dresses fitted so differently. xx
Hi Susan the dresses look lovely on you definitely not frumpy , I agree with you size down on the first dress ( which is my favourite and and the colour really suits you ) and up on the last one, l find sizing frustrating they vary so much as you say 😊
Hi Sue, so frustrating when sizes vary so much xx
Hi Susan! I loved all three dresses but how frustrating re the differing measurements! Having said that, I love that look and feel it really suits you too!
Hi Lorraine, thank you for the compliment but yes so frustrating that they differed in size so much. x
Love the first 2 dresses on you 😊
Hi Jackie, thank you ❤️
Delightful Susan ❤
Hi, thank you ❤️

Hi Alana, im always happy to share with you all, can't always guarantee what I share is worth watching though so glad you enjoyed this Roman haul xx
Hya Susan I think you are correct the first one is such a lovely dress but in a smaller size and number 3 is so smart tough choice ❤
Hi Christine, always a hard choice making decisions about what to keep lol xx
Loved the first two dresses, I bought the second purple one too, love purple!
Hi Chris, I liked the colour but felt it a little too much for me but did love the fabric, very unusual. Enjoy your dress xx
Hello Susan, all the dress are pretty,,my favorite one is the 2nd dress.😊
Hi Joan, royal purple so very regal lol xx
I liked the first dress Susan if you get the size down I think that would be the best of the three, the second one is lovely too but felt the last one aged you a bit to be honest it did have the best fit though. If you wear a long scarf or long necklace with no 1 would elevate it even more.
Hi Pamela, I felt the same about a long necklace when I was trying on the dresses, think a visit to some charity shops may be in order lol xx
Hi Marianne, correct two and three returned lol xx

Hi, thanks for commenting, online they all looked so similar when I ordered them but yes in reality they were all different shapes xx

Hi Sheila, yes I did use to work in Education but nowadays my grandsons keep me busy lol x
I find that Roman are a bit on the small side so size up. Dresses were nice but a little bit short.
Hi Valerie, I didn't mind the length, but obviously wouldn't be bending over wearing them lol xx
I loved them all but have to agree with you about the sizes. Just goes to show the numbers are not impo. Personally I loved the last one best ❤
Hi Jane, the size is just a number on a label so I try not to get to hung up on it. All lovely in their own way but not for me im afraid xx
I rather liked the first dress perhaps if you went down a size. The colour looked good on you. The patterned dress was nice but too small. ❤
Hi Margot, sorry for delay answering ive been away but thank you for your comment, I totally agree with you xx
And that’s exactly why I don’t like to shop online..
I prefer to try clothes on before I put out money to buy them!
Hi Laurie, I do agree with you about trying before you buy. But unfortunately I live in a rural area so don't travel to town as often as I'd like. Plus I find there is so much more choice online, ordering and returning obviously takes time but is my best option although often very frustrating!! xx

Hi Jacqueline, youve inspired me to get looking for some nice long necklaces and dig my scarves out xx
I think the first dress is a perfect size on you and very flattering, it fits your shoulders and boobs so definitely not too big, it's how it's meant to fit, (take note of how it fits on the model) The 2nd dress is a little too small and shows more lumps and bumps than I'd be comfortable with. Hi Loraine, its hard to compare when the model is so much smaller but I do take in what your saying thank you xx
Lovely selection of dresses Susan!
Personally I think that the houndstooth suits you best (if you size up of course!). The pattern and slight details of the pockets and the cuffs makes it special and that slight scoop neck suits you so well! BTW, I'd call that rosy red colour cherry. 😊

All three would look fab with a black moto jacket.
Anyhoo, that's my two euro cents' worth 😊
Thank you for the great content!
Loved reading your two euro cents worth 🤣, I think your right about the purple very over powering xx
