    Among the things I like about The Ordinary is they don't use questionable ingredients like fragrance and alcohol. They are still a good value, even thought their prices have gone up (like everyone else's).

    I only buy cruelty free brands whether it's skincare, bodycare or even cleaning products, so I really appreciate you speaking out about CeraVe doing animal testing. There are so many affordable cruelty free choices to choose from so there really isn't an excuse for people to continue to buy from brands that still test on animals.

    • @MadAboutSkin

      It's my pleasure Hun and I think we should keep getting the message out there about the brands which still test on animals as it's not right in 2023 xx

      CeraVe say they don't test on animals but I assume they pay a third party to test for them, for the Chinese market? Is this correct?

    • @FSM866
      @FSM866 7 місяців тому +9

      @@karajade83 They allow testing on animals in countries where it's required by law, so yes, China is one of them. They're also owned by L'Oreal which is also not a cruelty free brand.

    I use them both! My skin is on the dry side and I live in a dry/cold climate. In the morning I layer the NMF with Beta Glucan under a moisturizing SPF and again at night, I layer it under the NMF with Phytoceramides!! I will also add a pump of one of my favorite serums to the NMF with Beta Glucan. My skin is always hydrated and protected!! I have officially replaced my expensive Skin Fix and Biossance creams!

    Thank you for sharing Rob! I appreciate your content and look forward to watching your videos! I was rather hoping that you were actually going to talk about all three of these, though. I am not familiar with the original version and I am somewhat new to The Ordinary, since I was never interested in single-ingredient serums. I will search your contact for a review on this one. I was especially interested to see how it compares exactly to both of these newer moisturizers. I picked up the Phytoceramide moisturizer and have been enjoying it! It’s almost like applying and SPF 50 mineral sunscreen in texture, of course no cast! It does not spread well over damp skin, though I’ve noticed, as it is too occlusive. So I give my serums a moment to see again and then I pat this in. I have noticed though that I need to consistently use my benzoyl peroxide with this one otherwise I get congested skin. That’s why I’m curious about the original natural moisturizing factors! I am definitely not really I need something to aid, join us, and I also like to keep a more dewy complexion. Thank you so much, and I look forward to your next videos!

I was wondering about their moisturisers today because I've only just discovered the brand fairly recently and am using their website and your videos to learn about different ingredients. Anyway, I suspect the original moisturiser is being discontinued because The Ordinary are giving away a Moisturising Factors + HA free with every order, at least in Australia.

I ask because I've tried every cream and moisturizer out there but it hasn't helped with my dry and peeling face (due to tretinoin cream I've been using 1-2 times a week for a long time). I was curious about the one or if I should start w jojoba oil or something like that. I have acne prone skin, hormonal usually. Right now im using Vanicream moisturizing cream and that isnt working.

    I use the gel to boost skin barrier repair. It’s not enough on its own for my dry skin, but it works well in a serum capacity. I use the original in conjunction with other moisturizers to maintain my skin barrier. And I use the ceramides version under mineral sunscreens, which dry out my skin. Honestly, none of them are sufficient for my needs on their own and have to be used in conjunction with other moisturizers. But my skin does better when I use them than when I don’t.

    Don't like any of them. I hate the texture. Purito Re-barrier B5 fluid is the best I've ever used and have been using it since it was launched.

      This video isn't sponsored.. you might not like it and that's totally fine but just because someone else does it doesn't mean they are paid to say it.. thanks for sharing your views on the products and perhaps you could say why you didn't like it and what results you got? Sending love x

      You are more than entitled to your opinion but it is way more helpful to the rest of us if you can give a reason why something works or doesn’t work for you ☺️
