Department of Ergonomics

The Department of Ergonomics of the Central Institute for Labour Protection - National Research Institute addresses the issues related to the shaping of working conditions according to the psychophysical human capabilities, the influence of the material and psychosocial environment on workers, as well as the methods of ergonomic intervention aimed at optimization of work.
The research activities of the Department include two main areas:
identification and analysis of the occupational risk sources resulting from the work properties and individual characteristics of employees, as well as consequences of such risk on their physical and mental health,
development of specific prevention and intervention measures in order to improve the physical and psychosocial environment for optimal performance of both employees and organisations.
