Tips for Incubating SHIPPED EGGS

- Since making this video Ive actually made the switched over to using a Brinsea Ovation EX 56 egg and I’ve never been more pleased with an incubator. It has an auto humidity feature that automatically adjust the humidity when needed, and one of the most beneficial things I think is that an incubates upright, and gives me the opportunity to adjust the frequency at which the egg turns. As a result of these features, I have adopted a method of hatching which I called the chaos method. And this is where when I receive shipped eggs I literally just throw them right into the incubator without any resting or any special treatment.
I think the fact that this incubator incubates upright and doesn’t turn really frequently allows this method to work for me. I wouldn’t suggest this in an incubator that incubates eggs on the side like the nurture right 360 but I would have been remiss if I didn’t mention the new incubator that I’ve discovered and new methods of incubating as a result in this description.

I've never seen the airsacks reattach on shipped eggs. after letting them sit for 24 hours I never see changes. is there any reason for resting the eggs besides airsacks?
@@JMKentzel honestly this video was previously filmed - at this point I don’t even let eggs rest anymore, i just throw them right in the incubator and nurture the air cells while their incubating
@@MojoHomesteadFL when you put them in the incubator straight from shipping, do you turn them or wait 3 to 5 days before turning?
Also, do you turn them even if the air cells look jiggly?
@@ashtonchancellor I allow my egg turner to turn them - but I’m using a brinsea ovation so I’m able to adjust the settings so it only turns a few times per day. You could opt to not turn for the first few days.
@@ashtonchancellor you could opt not to. If air cells were noticeable jiggly I’d probably keep egg turners off
