    Why did you not sound too happy when you mention the eggs were from greenfire farms line? 😅

      Because they’re smaller! I have some from Rare Rooster Acres now also! 😊

    Im getting shipped eggs tomorrow, so Im preparing myself in case there are detached air cells to get the best hathing rate.
    I'm not sure if I missed it, but do you turn the eggs by hand until the air cell has attached itself again or not at all?

      Sorry, just seeing these replies! I don’t turn them at all for the first 7 to 10 days if the air cell is detached

      Did you end up having a bad hatch rate??? I purchased 9 Mearns for $600 and any that weren’t cracked into a terrible mess have detached air cells 😔 I am turning them but VERY slightly pointy end down.. then ~6ish days before, I will not turn at all. I honestly don’t have much hope any will hatch at all 😭 but I’m trying my best for the next 25 days. Super upsetting when the breeder is the only one I’ve experienced who;
      1.) will not send replacements - even tho they were $600. And
      2.) packs terribly. I’ve received fkn $3 eggs packed better lolol it’s pure insanity to me.

      @thedouglaspodcast Oh my gosh! That's terrible, especially for this price! I am so sorry...
      I had only 3 hatch out of 27, but I also had a power outage for 2.5 days. However, I had ordered from the same breeder before, and although she packages them really well with foam molds, very professionally, I have had many eggs that were not fertilized or died early in development. I don't have that problem with my own eggs. I have a 99.9 hatch rate.
      I didn't turn the shipped eggs at all in the first few days.
      Let me know how it turns out or if I can help if you have an issue during hatching...
