  • This is not your typical track day video. I'm uploading this out of pure entertainment. On lap 2 going through Charlotte's Web (turn 5), my bike started acting weird like it was trying to drive itself off the track. I hit the brakes and was able to keep it on the pavement thankfully. Hilarity follows as I attempt to diagnose what's going on..
*I went through hot pit in the beginning to separate myself from the initial group and get some clean track as I didn't want to hold people up. Also, I had a buddy working the flagging tower at turn 17 so he's the one I am doing hand signals towards coming into the pits every time.

Do it. But be forewarned, it is absolutely addicting and can become a VERY expensive hobby xD

Is this the time when a tiny piece of rubber got inside the throttle?

Good news is your HR didn’t skyrocket. Mine would’ve. Unbelievable. All that work for a little piece of rubber. Do most riders in your class go solo, no mechanics?

I know right. This little piece of rubber, flew behind the front wheel fairing, behind the radiator, around the intake, under the airbox and into the throttle cable assembly AT THE VERY MOMENT I DOWNSHIFTED where the metal plates separated for literally a few tenths of a second and closed back together to catch it (and wedge itself so it wouldn't fly back out the next time I open the throttle). The chances man hahaha You can see the exact moment it happens if you look at the throttle position data. To answer your question, I believe most guys there just do their own work on their bikes.
