I have to tell you. I work with a lot of rich people. Seen and experienced a lot of luxury things. Ive never been jealous of anything I've seen until i found this channel You are an absolute inspiration. You make me wish i wasnt in my 50s and could redo the whole thing. God bless and I pray others can see the truth in what life can be
It’s not to late. You can make these memories with family and friends today. Give it a try. I’m turning 60 and it’s such joy to share. You can do it too. Started my journey in 2022.
As long as God gives you life, you have an opportunity to do something wonderful. It may not be all that this young family is doing, but something of what she is doing we can do too. I see the beauty in their life and completely understand where you’re coming from, but let’s try to do something beautiful in what time we have left on this earth. 🕊️😉
What a wonderful mom you are. What treasures are the childhoods, experiences, learning, and memories you’re creating for your sons. Well done, sister. 👏
Wow, I learn so much from you. It looks so good. Thank you for having your channel. I enjoy following you so much. You are a special lady with a beautiful family. 🙏🏻🌹🙂😊
We bought my husband some root beer extract as a little birthday surprise and he's in the kitchen sterilizing his bottles, excited to make his favorite soft drink. We live in a ritzy suburb and have a home with a pool, but the houses are too close together for our liking and the property taxes are killing us. We are looking to move out to the country for some privacy, more land, and a slower pace of life in the next few years. Your videos remind me why we want to make the change.
Love watching the boys eyes light up! You are so personable. Thank you for sharing this and the little "hiccups". I love that you don't just make everything look perfect. You are real life. God bless your family 💞
when I was a little girl my Dad would make homemade root beer and put in small soda bottles and seal them up, I believe he stored them in our basement. Fun memories. I make the dry ice root beer with my children when they were young once a year and still do it now that they are grown as tradition.
Thank you for sharing with us. While I am resting while I have flu bug I showed your show to my mom. She is amazed at this channel she told me she will follow and try many of your things. Thank you again for sharing this stuff with us. Please keep posting.
I love you and your family ! when my late husband and I lived in West Virginia . his home state . we made Root beer in the fall . I am happy to see you get some items from Azure Standard . I love that company !
My sister did that. It was like a war in the basement, nobody got any sleep and us kids giggled every time a bottle blew up and hit the floor under the kitchen...
My older sister in upstate NY used to make homemade RootBeer and even bought a bottle capper. I don't like root beer but her's was pretty good. Dad used to make sarparilla that was sort of red color. Some people called it Birch Beer. Thanks for the memories of helping to bottle the Root Beer...lol.🙃😋
Oh boy! Those root beer floats looked amazing!! Mama used to tell us about sassafras tea they would make from the root bark of the sassfras tree. It was fermented and bubbly like what you've made here. She'd tell us about it when we had cold soda pops from the store, all they had to do to make a fizzy drink when she was a child. Thanks for the links! I'm going to order some extract and give this a go!
I just made your decongestion recipe. I am now on day 4 of upper respiratory crud. Felt good enough to go to the store for the ingredients. My, some powerful stuff! Thank you.
Oh, the nostalgia! My grandmother used to make root beer every summer. It was amazing and wonderful and I miss it so much. I will have to try to replicate what she did. It was very similar to your method. What a fun video.
We buy root beer from Stolzfus veggie stand on Groeffdale Rd in Intercourse! Pa. It is very good and very cold. Love this family stand for wonderful vegetables and fruit and flowers! Also angel food cake and moon pies! We travel from Annapolis, Md to visit.
Oh My Goodness… What a wonderful thing to make. Your family is so Blessed to have such knowledge with in their grasp !!! I’m amazed at the things I’ve learned from your Channel 😉 Until the next one 🥰
Just discovered your channel today, and I love it! Thanks for sharing your root beer making experience. I love brewed root beer but my favorite fizzy drink has always been a cola beverage. Have you made any cola soda pop? If so, would you consider making a video on that process? I’ve found some recipes but none of them resonated with me. Any guidance you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I went & bought everything that you used. I love A&W root beer. As looking up recipes on the internet there’s sassafras & other things one thing is the fizz that takes the breath away. But when you asked the kids what they thought they really didn’t say it tastes like the real thing. If you have time maybe you can do a video with the sassafras. You do mostly all scratch recipes you would think some were in your community & amish someone would have an original recipe, the inventor of the rootbeer made it all from scratch. The internet you can’t find the original trade secrets but someone of the time that worked for the original creator & has the recipe that’s passed down. I made extracts from the store Watkins yuk no fizz can hardly wait for my items to be delivered. Thanks for all your hard work
Many years ago I made elderflower champagne, we placed it on its side in our garage facing the car, we must have bottled it too soon before it had finished fermenting, as the bottles exploded all over the car, with sticky champagne 😂
Champagne yeast is bred to withstand very high levels of alcohol before dying. If you are not making ultra high alcohol root beer then bread yeast works good enough. Bread yeast can get to about 12% alcohol ABV before it gives up and dies. Plenty to start getting into those wine levels of alcohol volume but not to champagne. Champagne yeast also fermente very dry since it can keep living and converting even more residual sugars in any given ferment.
So are the lids on tight while fermenting and how long will it last unopened? Did the champagne yeast in root beer taste better than instant yeast? I love root beer. Yours looks beautiful! Going to try it. Have you ever made muscadine juice and canned it?
Hello....New follower from California. I just ordered the rootbeer extract and champaigne yeast. Im gunna try this. How long does it last in the fridge?
Loved your video and am looking forward to trying my hand at home made root beer! Do you need to “burp” the bottles each day like you do with ginger beer? Thanks for all the info you share with the world!
2 questions please. 1. Can you not use yeast to make your finished bottles last longer so they don't explode/break? 2. Doesn't the yeast and sugar fermentation cause the root beer to become alcohol?
Wondering how to modify this for Florida weather. Not sure if I would have to make in Early Spring. Our temperatures can get over 100 degrees fast. So what would be your advice for higher temps? I know I could shade them with a blanket. Hmmm. Suggestions?
I would stay clear of the flavorings with Carmel color, it’s a known carcinogen. I will definitely be giving this a go this summer. Thank you! God bless 🙏🏼💕
Ok so i tried it and it was very yeasty alcohol tasteing. It is very warm in Louisiana. I left it 4 or 5 days. Maybe i should have pulled it in sooner?
I have to tell you.

I feel the same way in my 60’s
The end of the video where you are serving ice cream and root beer - it is moments like that, that the kids will forever remember ❤️
So true...I remember and it's been 50+ years!
Wow, I teared up watching this. My dad made us homemade rootbeer and ice cream every summer. That was about 50 years ago.
For me it was over 60 years. My mother’s favorite treat was a root beer float and I still love it!
My mom used to make room beer for us, such a sweet memory
What a wonderful mom you are. What treasures are the childhoods, experiences, learning, and memories you’re creating for your sons. Well done, sister. 👏

The kid's eyes would really light up if those jars explode. That kind of yeast is hot stuff take it from me.
Ok… Now, I’m going to have to try making root beer…
when I was a little girl my Dad would make homemade root beer and put in small soda bottles and seal them up, I believe he stored them in our basement. Fun memories. I make the dry ice root beer with my children when they were young once a year and still do it now that they are grown as tradition.

I have never thought of making my own root beer, well I have actually, but thought it must be a big process… I can’t wait to do this!!!
That looks sooo delicious and refreshing. This looks like something I could make with my Granddaughter next summer. ❤
This was fun watching it being made homemade.
I love homemade root beer and ginger ale. Champgne yeast works great for both.
I cant wait to make this!! My great grandpa use to make them for me, thank you so much for sharing.
I love you and your family ! when my late husband and I lived in West Virginia . his home state . we made Root beer in the fall . I am happy to see you get some items from Azure Standard . I love that company !
Made me think of my mom. She told me stories or root beer fermenting Int the basement and the bottles exploding.
My sister did that. It was like a war in the basement, nobody got any sleep and us kids giggled every time a bottle blew up and hit the floor under the kitchen...
Like watching a piece of Heaven. Thank you sweet Ruthann and family.
Reminds me of my childhood having toot ear floats with my grandfather🦋🙏🩵

The audio is terrible. It would be better if you remade the video inside, out of the wind.
I used to think root beer floats were the best thing I'd ever had as a kid!
Everyone seems to be happy may God bless you guys from Philadelphia
I just made your decongestion recipe. I am now on day 4 of upper respiratory crud. Felt good enough to go to the store for the ingredients. My, some powerful stuff! Thank you.
That must taste so much better than store bought❤
That yeast seems to have done a good job. It’s beautiful.
Thank you. It brought back memories for my husband. I had never heard of making it. Thank you for sharing. We love you and your family is wonderful!

I’ve done ginger beer and the grandkids loved it. I’m trying this on their next visit. Just ordered the concentrate. Thanks for a great idea! -Natalie
Looks great!

I love root beer. Yours looks beautiful! Going to try it. Have you ever made muscadine juice and canned it?
Can you add more extract in after making it if the flavor doesn’t suit your taste.?
It looks sooo good!
Oh my goodness ,lm drooling, looks so good ,lm sure gonna give this a try ,nice video 🙌🙌💖
That looks amazing
Hello....New follower from California. I just ordered the rootbeer extract and champaigne yeast. Im gunna try this. How long does it last in the fridge?
Loved your video and am looking forward to trying my hand at home made root beer! Do you need to “burp” the bottles each day like you do with ginger beer? Thanks for all the info you share with the world!
We don’t ‘burp’ them.
How long can it last in the refrigerator because it’s only two of us in this household?
A week or so is best!!
Thank you!!
I had no idea that could be made like that. Wonderful, I love root beer and floats! What a great great! Nancy from nebraska
2 questions please. 1. Can you not use yeast to make your finished bottles last longer so they don't explode/break? 2. Doesn't the yeast and sugar fermentation cause the root beer to become alcohol?
HI. WILL THIS WORK WITH STEVIA INSTEAD OF REAL SUGAR
can you send me a drop box line for your Rood Beer Recipe. Love your drop box method. Keep up the good work learning a lot from you.
Where did you get the root beer flavoring from?
It surprised me that it had yeast. It's one of those things I think I would like to try before I made it
Another great video! Thanks for sharing 💕, I will have to try this recipe
Wondering how to modify this for Florida weather. Not sure if I would have to make in Early Spring. Our temperatures can get over 100 degrees fast. So what would be your advice for higher temps? I know I could shade them with a blanket. Hmmm. Suggestions?
That looked so delicious.
I love root beer! Would love to know which extract you used that didn’t have the coloring in it.
The Watkins brand.
Should you burp the jars?
Getting ready to try my first batch!!😁 I did notice that your written instructions say 2.5 OUNCES of yeast. I believe you meant to write 2.5 grams.
Yes!!! Grams!!!!
That looks so yummy!
So if we’re in a warmer zone would you just leave it out less days? 90-100 every day.
Watch for the effervescent bubbles. Once they start going give it about 24 hours.
Thank you! Also in the video you say grams of yeast and in the description it says oz. I’m assuming grams is correct?
Yes, she’s corrected it to grams
Why do you leave bottles outside instead of just in the house ? Also do you burp the lids so you don't get an explosion ?
Well .... (just a thought) maybe to prevent the room in the house being bathed in fermenting root beer.😅
Will it taste carbonated?
Which yeast did your family prefer? Or was it a split decision?
🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
Looks delicious! Did you feel the champagne yeast made it better?
Yes. It had less of a yeasty taste.
I would stay clear of the flavorings with Carmel color, it’s a known carcinogen. I will definitely be giving this a go this summer. Thank you! God bless 🙏🏼💕
❤❤❤
Does root beer have caffeine?
My brew has a slight rotten egg smell. Any clues as to why? Or how i can change this for next time?
Ok so i tried it and it was very yeasty alcohol tasteing. It is very warm in Louisiana. I left it 4 or 5 days. Maybe i should have pulled it in sooner?
❤❤❤❤❤❤
