Interesting, more than 2000 nobodies have watched you playing Pinball. Please, keep doing great Pinball repair and play videos, there are a lot of nobodies, like me, that are more than happy to watch and enjoy them. Cheers!
Good looking game Ron!! I watched the show religiously when I was a little kid. Colonel Steve Austin was plated by Lee Majors who married Farrah Faucet. They were the power couple in the 70’s. It didn’t last long though. Never played the machine but it looks fun!! Great work as always Ron. Looking forward to the next one.
That's all that matters to sane people :) If you enjoy it that's the purpose of a game to amuse people , that's why they call it an Amusement device :) They call UA-cam social media but many of the people have no social skills, haha Thanks for watching Asriazh!
Thats a really nice example. The strategy with this game is all about the up post. Go for the saucer from the plunge. Use the up post to trap the ball and tap pass it from one flipper to the other so you can line up a good spinner shot for the saucer. Rinse and repeat until you max out the multiplier, then go for the drops etc. Sounds easy in theory lol.
Looks fantastic! This quote from another google internet site has a point. "The Steve Austin on this backglass more closely resembled Evel Knievel than Lee Majors."
nice work on this one. Spy hunter was one of my childhood faves so I hear that theme every time you started a new game. Loving the repair videos and new to your channel. I'm really enjoying learning about maintaining these pins. I've been on the hunt for my first one for a few months now. i love to tinker so I'm looking for one that needs some help. your channel is invaluable.
Dont let them get under your skin Ron, haters gonna hate it is their problem not yours we love what you do just ignore them! The Six million dollar man show had a great melody that played on the intro as they show him learning to use the bionic implants he could run like 60 MPH and jump onto the roof and stuff it was cool I'm surprised they did not incorporate that tune into the pinball game?
The Hulk TV series ran from March 1978 to May 1982. The "mate" guy who felt the need to be critical, messed up. "Stick to Pong?" I've seen you fix a Pong game not a ping pong game. Also I haven't seen you play ping-pong-lol! This was a very entertaining video and it's a great looking game. I didn't find a Bionic Woman pinball game on the net. I have vague snippets in my memory of that one. I watched the first roof video from Donnie. I've been missing out, the video was informative and hilarious.
One of the hardest things about growing Donnie's channel is getting people to even watch 1 video, he's hilarious and it's not even in the jokes, it's just how he comports himself is funny. Everybody that meets him thinks he's 1 of a kind. I was just looking today and (with my help) he has grown his channel about 10 times faster than I grew mine! Thanks for watching Melanated Prose, this show was a little before my time I was born in 78 and don't remember ever seeing it on t.v. at all. We grew up in West Virginia from 84 to 89 or so, so maybe they didn't play it much locally, I can't even remember what we watched on t.v. back then, probably Andy Griffith and Fred Sanford!
I'm working on some t-shirts and merchandise but I haven't gotten it set up yet, I want to offer some of the just bare bones cheaper stuff like a cheap t shirt and hat, but I'm trying to decide the best way to offer nicer quality stuff too instead of just the boring regular stuff everybody does. So I'm trying to figure out how to do stuffed animals, tools, artwork, etc. that people might be more interested in buying instead of just plain t-shirts. Hopefully within a month or so we'll have some stuff available as soon as I figure out the best way to do it...
Ron does it again, and you rebuilt it for much less than $6 million....LoL. Thanks for the entertaining, as always, video. Always look forward to your videos... guess you've been helping your brother Donnie, since you've been missing a bit.
Wow Steve Austin we have the technology we can rebuild him and dont forget the sexy Jamie Summers wah wah wah Lindsey Wagner was hot stuff back then too bad she didn't get her own Pinball as well. It came out great Ron your work is always fantastic. The two part episode with bigfoot was awesome in the series. The rotating ice tunnel was a part of the universal studios tram tour for many years and may still be there today.
@@LyonsArcade Those are fun to watch late at night if you cant sleep They were cheap to film and kind of saved the studio at the time my favorite was where they meet Abbot and Costello it had several of the monsters like Frankenstein, the wolfman, the vampire so good. I can picture it now Ron and Donnie go to Hollywood lol well Universal city anyways or do you go to the Universal studios and Disney world in Florida? I have never been to those they look much bigger but without the actual history of the films being made on the lot, that is what I always enjoyed was knowing they filmed those right there and you see all these sets and props you remember from the movies. Lots of history!
Nice outcome on this old girl, Ron. I may have missed if you said as I sometimes have distractions - I noticed on the three "0" stand up targets that the first and last ones seem to be linked. If you hit one the other goes out. Is it supposed to be that way, perhaps one of those 5 ball vs. 3 ball things? I've played this game but truly don't remember. Was tempted to make a "ping pong" comment but like what I learn from your channel too much to want to get booted. Again, nice result - keep the videos coming.
Yes they usually have a setting where it links a couple targets together if it's on 3 ball to make it a little easier to accomplish.... Thanks for watching Byrd Mann!
That's definitely part of it... plus I just like playing them, I'm not really too concerned wit chasing high scores, if I lose the ball oh well, lol. This particular machine doesn't even belong to me I don't want to bang it around too much.
The broken one. (pop bumper) that would have to be fixed if it were my game lol. cause it was brought to my attention. ha ha ha. Great game. I'm looking personally for a 1978 Playboy game without having to spend 9,000.00
I fix guitar amps on my channel. I'm a mediocre guitar player. The purpose of demonstrating it is to show it's been fixed.... so regardless or not if you're good at pinball, it doesn't mean you're not doing a fine job of repairing it.
Who ever said you are not very good at pinball is just a d***. I think if you have fun, then you are good at it. Your videos are always fun and having fun is why you play these machines :).
Great repair again, keep it up. Btw... i like the play video's so i get a sense of the game play even when it's not up to spec for some people... i dont mind... (it's also so i can see if you did a good job in repairing, but i aint telling anyone that. haha :P)... and moving the posts is not cheating.. back in the days probably it's was called "making money" ;) and Oh! i like this game too, i can see why they put up a 6 player game for this, because you can compete.... even though it's hard to find people to play at the same time now days... probably takes ages for you can have your next ball in play :P meh i don't mind... why a 6 player? because they could! :)
Hi Ron, point of curiosity (not a complaint or nitpick); I was noticing that on the left targets, hitting either the top or bottom target appears to activate both the top and bottom target lights (center target appears independent). Is this normal/expected behavior? (You may have addressed this in a previous video, but as I have the memory of a senile goldfish, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask...) Another great repair, and I have zero doubt that the customer will be very happy with it!
A lot of games have a setting depending on how many balls you're playing where it links a couple of the targets together to make it simpler to achieve. 8 Ball for instance, considered one of the really great early SS games did this and helped set the precedent but also many of the EM games even did it, which was more of an accomplishment. There were even some EM games that had special stepper units to change how difficult some of the goals were to achieve, depending on how often people had won free games! We had a Bally Dixieland one time that did something like that (can't remember the specifics) and had one once that if you won a free game, it made it twice as hard to win one next time. These are on EM machines with no software...
@@LyonsArcade I said it on one of your previous videos and I'll say it again... it's amazing what they managed to do with nothing but mechanical switches and relays. Then again, if you think about it, a transistor is a type of switch, and the CPU in your computer has billions of them. (Of course, they're not mechanical switches, but if you look at it from my point of view, it means that they're _still_ doing amazing things with switches.)
JOES CLASSIC, can you show how to do the "game adjustments" in the operational manuals of the pinball games they have Game adjustments. I never seen you do this after you have repaired the pinball game to go through all the game adjustments
Ron, do you usually clear coat the back of the back glass to prevent further flaking? Also, Bobby Orr Power Play and Evil Knievel had a somewhat similar layout I believe. Great vids!
I haven't had a Bobby Orr Power Play in yet, as far as i'm concerned though Bally didn't make a bad game during this run of the early Solid States that I'm aware of, they're all fun. If the backglass is in really nice shape I don't clear it, if they're kept in an air conditioned home I don't believe they'll ever flake.
Since when did he get a shark tooth necklace? I was young enough to remember seeing this on tv back then. But do not remember him as he is on the back glass.
I don't believe it does, but if the game starts with a ball on a saucer or something and it can see it , it will kick it down to the drain. If it can't see the ball though it won't search for it.
No unfortunately it's just single ball. They did have 'multiball' before this on some games but it didn't become a real standard thing until about 1980 when Firepower came out.
Alright! It is starting to bug the s%$& oout of me! What is the freaking white light on the left side of the apron for?!?! I have never figured the danged thing out!
Hofsan1 we discussed that on a video recently but I don't remember which one it was :) That is a credit light, if that light is on it means the game has at least 1 credit on it. They outlawed in some places any machine that told you how many credits were available on it.... so pinball manufacturers made that light, so if the machine had that light on it you knew there was at least one credit but didn't know how many, so that it wouldn't be considered a 'gambling machine'.

It's actually Anti-Social Media, but that takes too long to say so they shortened it :P
It's not about being good, it's about the LOVE for the game. Screw them, just keep playing and do what you LOVE.

This game came out 1978, that was when Six Million Dollar Man was cancelled. It was originally introduced in 1973.
