The Winter's Tale follows the destruction of a marriage through consuming jealousy, the abandonment of a child and a seemingly hopeless love. Yet, through remorse and regret -- and after a statue comes miraculously to life -- the ending is one of forgiveness and reconciliation. Wheeldon continues his highly successful collaboration with designer Bob Crowley and composer Joby Talbot, the team behind Alice, in one of the highlights of The Royal Ballet Season. - Розваги
Edward Watson is perfect - perfect - perfect - as Leontes. I had goosebumps whole first act!
+Hana Stýblová I think Edward Watson is perfect in everything. Beautiful performer, techinque and line.
Really enjoyed it. Deserves its great reviews: excellent music, choreography, dancing and staging. The sea effects in particular were beautifully inventive. If there was a weak point it was the story itself - recommend reading a synopsis in advance, I had no idea what was going on in the first act!
I just watched this the other night on DVD and I love, love, love it! This cast is fabulous! the choreography is beautiful. Fantastic.
Bravoooo!!! R.O.H.,Always superbe.
This looks fantastic.
love it
Loved mondays screening of the wintes tale. The dancers of the royal ballet are so great. I wish there were more possibilities to see it´s repertoire for people not from London/ UK.
Agree! I live so far away from the UK and it is really difficult to see all these new works! You have to wait for DVDs which don't always come so soon for new works like these!
Would make a great movie theater event, like National Theater plays.
edward watson and george mackay have the exact same accent and it's freaking me out
Luke 20:17-18
But He looked directly at them and said, "What then is this that is written: "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone"? Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him."
How does the little boy die? Sorry I’m not familiar with the story
KERK_THE_KERKTASTIC! He dies with the grief of his mother who is taken away.
Who is the dead boy in the king's arms in The Winter's Tale?
dawngoth20 Mamillius, Leontes's son
+dawngoth20 His son, I think.
