  • The eleventh in a series of composer videos from Wise Music Group.
Joby Talbot’s music can be heard on the stage, in the concert hall and on the big screen. This engaging film, made in collaboration with Richie Rich Productions, provides a rare window into the mind and inspiration of this highly acclaimed composer. From the hugely popular Ballet Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland to the sublime pathos of the large scale choral work Path of Miracles, Talbot is at the top of his game, writing music that truly communicates to audiences on every level.

I loved Everest so much, saw in three times in Hagen, Germany, for sure one of my favourite operas of all time. The atmosphere was so thrilling and intense and yet there were some melodies and motifs, that I still have in my head until today. The only other contemporary composer that managed that for me is John Adams. So here's hoping for more operas written by Mr Talbot!
