This is actually no clickbait title. Only 10 days after I camped there 4 wolves got filmed by a trail camera in that very region. Boat used in this video: amzn.to/2tPE54l
Tons of wolves around here Lilly, its pretty cool when you get close to them. (Shouldn't tell this story, but why not) A couple years ago I was out camping and woke up in the night with a pack of wolves running very close to camp - probably 25 feet from my tent. Wasn't too bad except I had to pee soooo bad. I ended up getting out of my tent and standing in the dark, doing my business while I continued to hear them running around in the bush and calling to each other. Of course I had my headlamp on but as you know, the light just bounces off the leaves and trees leaving only darkness and what your imagination could provide in the space on the other side.
I spent weeks in Alaska around wolf packs most of the time. They are very sociable. I wouldn't suggest trying to get too close but they are curious about us and because we aren't part of their diet it's not a big concern. I had them approach to 3 meters from me and as long as you remain calm and collected they will just get a look and the scent's for a few minutes. Then go about their business. I did have some pups walk into my camp and I will admit it was a little nerve racking. I kept my distance from them and always made sure I wasn't between them and their mother. I also had my back to the pups as much as I could and still see where the mother was. It was a long ten minutes until she made them follow her but even with all the little tooth Mark's on my gear it was a great experience and I will never forget it. Enjoy the wildlife and just remember, it's their house so respect the rules and all will be fine.
Very cool that you got this experience. Please be careful there are recent documented cases of wolf attacks in North America. Some because of rabies and some not.
Beeps & Eat's Finding food & treasure , in Canada there have been documented cases of wolves attacking wounded, sick, drugged people & (small) children...basically, the vulnerable. But these attacks are few and far between (extenuating circumstances in each case), if we leave them alone, they will leave us alone as well, though curiosity sometimes does come into play. Count yourself lucky to hear wolves in the bush, let alone ever see them.
Lilly, I camp all the time. I don't rough it like you do. I am retired and love living by the lake or seashore depending where the my wandering takes me. I just recently found your channel. Thanks for making your adventures so interesting.
Miss Lilly.. you fell for the oldest trick in the book. Anytime I find someone in my favorite fishing spot or favorite camping spot or near them, I always tell them that there is a pack of wolves living near by. Works every time. ;)
I was wondering if it was a man or woman, then when Lilly was fishing the camera panned down to focus on the beers and I was like "Yep, that's a dude." Heh.
Lilly, I love watching your videos. Been watching for 2+ years now and never been disapointed. You finally started fishing with a rod & reel, it's about time girl. I never go backpacking without a pole. Remember this, wolves are just big wild dogs just like Dax.
Hello from Oklahoma! Looks like it was a fun trip. Wolves are intriguing. In my fishing kit I carry a couple small spoons and a few jigs. That way if I can't find bait I can usually catch something. When I use to go to Canada I always had a mepps spinner handy, and hung my food stuffs in a tree. Away from camp. We were more worried about bears. I agree Leave NO Trace! That camera operator was sure shy. Ha! Ha! God Bless! Good job to you both. You cheered up this old mans heart.
Another great trip Lilly, I really like these boating adventure videos! Beauty views of the sunset over the water. The shot of you cooking with a big toad on your pack was awesome. You truly are a woodswoman.
So glad I found your channel, wonderful video! It's like you can feel the peaceful breezes and touch the crisp water as if I'm there along for the journey. Thank you Lily for bringing the wonderful outdoors into my daily hectic life.
This video is a back to the roots of your channel and i love that. No commercials, just you in the wild (and the wolves), nothing else, a pure pleasure. Thanks for sharing these moments. You seems to have a good sleeping bag but you say you were cold at night, when did you do this video ?
Wow..I’m pretty sure Lilly has over 600,000 subscribers.I have been subscribed for more than 6 months now.I really like this channel.Always interesting content.
Nice video Lilly, wolves won't usually bother human's, They may be curious and visit your camp, but they'll usually avoid humans. I like the hole fire pit idea, and yes leaving no trace of your visit is paramount for the animals and other visitors in future. Your wilderness looks a lot like British Columbia Canada, where I live and play. Camping has always been the best escape from the world and living in fresh air, and beautiful surroundings is a soul booster for sure. Keep it up.
John Ganshow yes they move France to Check republic etc. Going a bit downstream is a joke. Still, seeing that pack or even getting attacked by them is very unlikely...
I used to have an inflatable kayak that I used on vacation @China Lake, Maine, USA. It was made in Poland and called the Salamandra model. It was a lot of fun on the lake and I even rigged it with a home made Viking square sail and a Dutch boat keel. I used the paddle like a Viking rudder. It sailed rather well with the wind at my back, but I had to paddle back into the wind to my camp.
Hi lily, it's so good to see you, I like your boat and the area you are. Just be careful with the wolves. Again good to see, I love, love, love your channel. Thumbs up for you👍👍👍👍👍👍
Susan Lawless i didn't say you called them beasts i was just saying. Damn ,😂😂, also i don't need your permission to speak my opinion, i have the freedom of speech it's in the first amendment so thank you . 😏 :)
When I am anticipating bad weather, I try to find someplace that is uphill, preferably on a crest if I’m not worried about camouflage or concealment. This prevents water from flowing downhill into where you are sleeping. If that is not possible, try to dig drainage trenches that will help keep water from coming into your shelter. Sleeping with minimal clothing on in your sleep system will help keep you warmer, instead of being fully clothed.
I have been living in a canvas tent in the middle of the Canadian boreal for almost 6 months now. I have wolves, bears and coyotes come by pretty often. I can hear them go on hunts and make kills in the middle of the night. If they get too close I just start my chainsaw and it goes quiet instantly. Never had a problem with them. They keep their distance if you make yourself known to them. Good video. You should consider a week or 10 days because you don't have time to really immerse yourself and truly become part of your surroundings overnight. Just your hearing takes at least a week to become as it should and lose the buzzing sound of the city. Keep em coming. It's cool to watch your videos while I'm all alone out here. Peace.
Awesome camera work for sure. I thought I recognized Lily’s shelter as the plow point shelter that Corporal Kelly showed a few days ago but it was modified slightly. How cool that you interact. I enjoy both your channels. Keep up the great work and ignore the haters.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one lady...brill trip and love the end...leave no trace...maybe if everyone did this, there wouldn't be such a bad reputation about us. Best wishes my friend
Thank you, Lilly and Cameraman. So happy the wolves did not enter your camp. That is such a spooky feeling. Glad you had the spears for an emergency. Much love.
every body seems to be scared of wolves and dont realize that wolf on human attacks rarely happen but they do happen so good 12 gauge will make any outdoorsmen feel comfy lol
12 gauge for all the possibilities. I’ve never had to shoot one yet, but I see bears, wolves, moose, rarely wolverines, and other critters in my travels. Better to be prepared!
Yes I know what you mean by not being too close or under trees with storm coming. Safety first. Thanks for showing how to make a good firepit since not everyone knows. Aww your meal looks good to me! Those are a couple nice spears you made to protect against the wolves! Agree to leave no trace and definitely no trash. I notice you leave your glasses on. My youngest daughter always does also!. Enjoyed your video!
Wow, so BEAUTIFUL were you at. I just love the pine trees, the lake and the river. It is breath taking on how beautiful nature really is. Every videos that I have watched since I first came across your UA-cam channel has been great. I been learning on how you do things to survive. Thank you Survival Lilly, may God Bless You and be with you.
I carry brown beans and bacon, dehydrated hash browns, egg power (dehydrated whole eggs) cured sausages, and tortillas (flower) on kayaking trips. like an all day breakfast only at night. Amazing vid .
Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA) in 2002. The finding of the report was that during the 100 years of the 20th century there were between twenty and thirty attacks in North America (including Alaska and Canada, which have relatively high populations of wolves). Of these, three were fatal, all because of rabies. So 3 deaths in a hundred years, you have more chance being killed on your way to work or school, by car or bus.
That's my boat! I've had mine over 10 years. It is very tough but a little heavy. It is fine on lakes and rivers but I prefer my Innova Swing 2 for coastal trips.
Hey Lily, I'm glad that you're taking the Joe robinet approach here and trying something new very similar to him. I really enjoy his videos but I also really enjoy yours too. I'm glad to see something new. You're both some of my favorite UA-camrs and I'd really like to start a channel like this. Thank you.
Good video. Did you ever catch a fish? I think your two stage fire vent system is clever. Did you pour water before burying? Underground fire is possible, but that method of leaving no trace of the fire place is a very good idea.
sucks you couldn't have had fresh fish for supper :( but as for the wolves I wonder if the guy just wanted to scare you off and get you out of the area because he was doing something illegal or you were in his fishing hole. LOL Either way I would have been like oh really I want to see the wolves. That would have made me stay :) But I understand if you believed him and needed to be more safe.
Hi Lilly, I love your videos. I am a busy Doctor here in the States and during my lunch I watch your videos and dream about doing some of the same things. I have learned so much from you. Someday please could you share with us what kinds of equipment you use for your videos and how you edit them? A sorta behind the scenes you might say. Have fun!!
Come to the Upper Peninsula Michigan Lilly.Wolves often follow Hikers and circle camp just out of fire light at night.A Woodscraft Experience for sure.Another Great Vid Lilly.🌲
Michael Richardson Why do wolves circle camp like that? They trying to scare people? They are scared of the people? Are wolves warning people to gtfo?? Are wolves just being curious .??
I respectfully disagree. The title gives the impression that wolves appear in this video. "Wolves" in all caps just accentuates the effect. It seems pretty clear someone would be aware of creating that impression when writing the title. Your explanation below that wolves got filmed "in that region" 10 days *after* you stayed there is absurdly stretching it as a justification for the title. For those who disagree w/me, my sense is you're being defensive because Lilly is female. Men and women are equal, no question about it, and while clickbaiting certainly isn't a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, no one should get a pass just because of their gender.
Also, there's a wolf in the thumbnail.... I mean... yikes. I've loved this channel for a while now, but ever since the tropical island series, it's just seemed too much about maximizing clicks/views. It took away the authenticity that made the channel good. :/
Don't understand putting fire out before leaving the area. It helps ward off mosquitoes, provides a little light, breakfast in the morning and yes keep any predators at a distance. Enjoyed the video. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Fire the camera man. You're EYE is missed in these last couple of videos and you're different around him. Maybe you are having fun with the mystery of who he is ? It doesn't matter bcuz it's jangy& wobbly ie the artistic quality is gone. Maybe you are in a rush editing or traumatized by the idiotic territorial "wolves"That comment about irrelevant superficial neurotic bs. I think you're awesome and hope to see the amazing quality back soon!
I don't care what the camera is ... it's missing some depth that is inarticulatable I'm getting kayak adds & gear adds. Just wondering where survival Lily went. Chill out? Bahaha dog food& wolves & the mystery camera slug.secrets in the sauce but does it taste like chicken?
Miracle ear she sounds different some kind of idk bbtalk? Just different just saying something smells funny somewhere & why sleep on the ground risking hurting your back when hammocks ROCK?
I love your videos. I'm a flutist so I appreciate your playing. Your videos are great. So informative. And intertaining. I just discovered you last night and it made me have a better night's sleep! Please tell who the invisable person is with you doing the filming? Well done with a good clear camera.
Another great video. Like your approach to leaving the environment as clean as before you were there. Your fire starting technique looks as fast as using gasoline and a match. What kind of wood, or shavings from that were you using?
Lily, would it be possible for you to give us a list and a video of what you consider essential survival gear, as opposed to nice to have survival gear?
I enjoy your style of camping, rather spartan and practical. If you ever visit Florida, I would like to buy you a beer. Thank you for sharing a glimpse into your world of camping and bushcraft.
I really enjoy your videos, Miss Lilly. They are entertaining and informative. I think your personality and sense of joyful involvement are refreshing. After a dozen or so my favorite remains your Canadian Wilderness one. Your talk to the bears made me laugh.
Where I camp there are wolves, bear basically all the small predators for northern Wisconsin. About 100 mile west there are mountain lions and elk. About 30 miles west moose have been spotted. As far as mammal predators I mostly see black bear. The wolves don't really bother anyone but they will go after small pets occasionally. Always keep an eye on dogs.
another nice video Lilly , I dont worry to much here in Ontario about the wolves , they have never really bothered me , only passing by camp after midnight
Oh my Lilly! Leather boots with no socks! And wet boots at that. You either have incredibly tuff feet or you are a glutton for pain. It was a nice video and I always look forward to seeing you.
I would suggest you purchase a pair of pruning shears; they will save you the awkwardness and danger of cutting the branches and twigs with a saw. You can buy a good pair for around $15 on Amazon. Oh, by the way, what was that in the can, I’m sure it wasn’t dog food.
Only time I've ever been concerned about wolves was on a winter hike a few years back. The deeper into the woods I got, the more tracks I saw. It had been a hard winter, very cold & snowy, and while I wouldn't have thought much about seeing all those tracks on a soft June day, I couldn't be sure how a hungry pack might react to a lone hiker armed with nothing but a Canon xTi, especially in the middle of the kind of winter we were having. I pulled the plug and bailed out. No regrets.
They fear you already ,all you have to do is become loud and aggressive if you see them and it will scare them away .Don't run from them run towards them like you are going to kill them and yell like bloody murder at them.
Next time you go fishing in the wild, try turning over a few rocks at shore and look underneath. Hopefully you'll find a few bugs which is probably what the fish there are eating. And if your feeling lazy, you could always use garlic.
Hi lily, it's so good to see you, I like your boat and the area you are. Just be careful with the wolves. Again good to see, I love, love, love your channel
Austria has absolutely amazing countryside. After watching many of your vids, it’s now right up there with Switzerland and Japan for places to visit before I die. Great vid, as always! 🤟
Great video Lilly. So glad you have finally got a really good saw ! You don't need to avoid wolves, they will avoid you and anyway (unless rabid) are no danger to humans. Good to see you doing more - I take it this is in N America somewhere ?
This is actually no clickbait title. Only 10 days after I camped there 4 wolves got filmed by a trail camera in that very region. Boat used in this video: amzn.to/2tPE54l

Are these by any chance the 'radioactive' wolves the media loves to sensationalize? Migrants from Pirypat?
you're also commenting near a pack of wolves lol
I spent weeks in Alaska around wolf packs most of the time.

Diana Long No now but I'm going back this coming April. I'll start in southern AK. And work north to Barrow to watch spring taking over.

Nice camping spot Lilly. We agree - "leave no trace" when you leave, take back all that your brought. Thanks for sharing
Fuck that where's the wolves
Didn't she hack down some branches off a tree to make a shelter?
Leave no trace???
Cabin Life with Glenn & Maureen I not only leave no trace but also remove any trash that I can remove easy.
Miss Lilly.. you fell for the oldest trick in the book. Anytime I find someone in my favorite fishing spot or favorite camping spot or near them, I always tell them that there is a pack of wolves living near by. Works every time. ;)
Hell of a camera man you have there. That frog was attacking your back pack and he didn't even flinch =) lol
I was wondering if it was a man or woman, then when Lilly was fishing the camera panned down to focus on the beers and I was like "Yep, that's a dude." Heh.
souptoaster I’m pretty sure it’s a woman actually.
@@MW-qo9de she said cameraman .... not camerawoman!
Double D I just got to ask what’s the Double D stand for? Is it an old military thing?
Lilly, you have one of the best bushcraft and survival channels I have ever seen.
Canadian style! This is one of my favourite videos of your's!
For me too❤❤🥰
Another great trip Lilly, I really like these boating adventure videos! Beauty views of the sunset over the water. The shot of you cooking with a big toad on your pack was awesome. You truly are a woodswoman.
That looked like a fun outing. Thanks for taking us along.
I don't mind some ads, she has to make some money.
Wow..I’m pretty sure Lilly has over 600,000 subscribers.I have been subscribed for more than 6 months now.I really like this channel.Always interesting content.
I have had my last two summers stolen from me, I will live vicariously through you.
Lilly its awsome to watch your video and thank you for helping an old man see the young still like the old ways, i wish i could camp now
Nice video lilly keep up the good work

Nicely done Lilly - would love to see more camping adventures! :)
LIlly & Chris are two of my favorite UA-cam creators. Keep it up! 👍🏻
Wolves are defiantly my favorite animals! Its midsummer so pups are quite grown!
Wolves move around a lot hunting. Paddling down the lake isn't going to get you away from them...
yeah thats what I told my camera man too, but still we found a nicer place to camp, so we made the right decision
John Ganshow yes they move France to Check republic etc. Going a bit downstream is a joke.
Still, seeing that pack or even getting attacked by them is very unlikely...
John Ganshow shut up stupid
anthony santacruz working hard in a saltmine?
Agree, I'd just say "whatever dude, mind your own business". He was probably just annoyed someone was in his spot taking his fish.
Those photo shop skills on the wolf in the thumb nail gave me a chuckle, love it as always have an awesome day lilly :)
I used to have an inflatable kayak that I used on vacation @China Lake, Maine, USA. It was made in Poland and called the Salamandra model. Susan Lawless wolves will hurt if u hurt them, they arent just some beasts
mckenzie, I never said they were beats, by the way who asked for your opinion on my comment? Oh!! No one, so shut the fuck up!!!!!!
lol
Alvin Hill, what do you mean? Bitch!!!!
Susan Lawless i didn't say you called them beasts i was just saying. Damn ,😂😂, also i don't need your permission to speak my opinion, i have the freedom of speech it's in the first amendment so thank you . 😏 :)

That will NOT workout very well. #nodudes
Awesome camera work for sure. I thought I recognized Lily’s shelter as the plow point shelter that Corporal Kelly showed a few days ago but it was modified slightly. How cool that you interact. I enjoy both your channels. Keep up the great work and ignore the haters.

coydog outdoors A lot more wolf attacks in Europe than folks realize. A lot of them have been killed with knives.
thats a bad ass way to go lol hand to hand combat with a knife
wolfs attack animals, not humans. I know of a few verified attacks here in Sweden but they are from way back in the 19th century.

I love your video's, awesome camera man, great quality video. Thanks Lilly awesome video 👍
Wolves are just as unpredictable as they are beautiful.
No, they really aren't that unpredictable. Educate yourself against fear!
Good to see you on an adventure. You look so energized.

You don't know how much I love you lilly
I detest 10 second ads that I can’t skip. But I watch ALL of your lovely videos. They are most excellent!
Nice camping and I enjoyed, thank you.
You were chewing something at the same time you were collecting grasshoppers, LOL.
Wolf- out...cameraman-out also...!!!
These camping trip videos are really good. Thanks for showing them.
lilly is so naturally beautiful, she looks amazing even seconds after waking up
That was exactly what I was thinking. I wish I looked like that after waking up from a night with not enough sleep. Good for you Lily
Hey Lily, I'm glad that you're taking the Joe robinet approach here and trying something new very similar to him. I really enjoy his videos but I also really enjoy yours too. I'm glad to see something new. You're both some of my favorite UA-camrs and I'd really like to start a channel like this. Thank you.

Im sure your camera man would be just fine with you rolling on top of him😉👌
Did you just assume xir's gender?
Camera 'person' is a little cumbersome on the tongue.
LOL, Chris, it's ok, we still make man jokes in Tennessee too :)
Scotbot, surely you have noticed she is all girl :)
Wood, I say "say whatever you want" to say.
I moved to northern Sweden about 2 years ago, finally going to spend 3 nights camping on an island in a lake! Cannot wait to enjoy the same as you!
sucks you couldn't have had fresh fish for supper :( but as for the wolves I wonder if the guy just wanted to scare you off and get you out of the area because he was doing something illegal or you were in his fishing hole. Mike McDonald, unfortunately you don’t really catch fish utilizing bread.

Wolves my butt. Did ya see the size of that man eating Frog :) Thank You for the video. Lilly.
Come to the Upper Peninsula Michigan Lilly.Wolves often follow Hikers and circle camp just out of fire light at night.A Woodscraft Experience for sure.Another Great Vid Lilly.🌲
Michael Richardson
Why do wolves circle camp like that?
They trying to scare people?
They are scared of the people?
Are wolves warning people to gtfo??
Are wolves just being curious .??
You should do more shooting rifles videos!
Such a cozy video :) the wolves and the mischievous toad. Made my day! Danke Lily🙏🏻🌹
Can you get anymore butthurt?
It annoys me no it said near
@@user-xd5zi3kt4s this person is correct..
Whatever😐 the video was still great as always so at this point I don’t really care what she puts in the thumbnail 🙄
Don't understand putting fire out before leaving the area. It helps ward off mosquitoes, provides a little light, breakfast in the morning and yes keep any predators at a distance. Enjoyed the video. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Bear Grylls: Wolves are good meat under survival situations!
David Tang yeppers according to Mel Gibson "dog is a good meal!"
David Tang according to rambo there is more meat on a wild pig and better taste too!
predator meat can taste bitter.
David Tang or you could get them to go hunting for you
I still have my Vietnamese cookbook "101 Ways to Wok Your Dog."
Another good video. Been watching for 2-3 years now. Keep up the good work. Thanks from Texas
You do realize that its not actually a man right? You need to chill, she is just enjoying camping.
I don't care what the camera is ... it's missing some depth that is inarticulatable
I'm getting kayak adds & gear adds. Just wondering where survival Lily went.
Chill out? Bahaha dog food& wolves & the mystery camera slug.secrets in the sauce but does it taste like chicken?
Linda Clark wat?
Miracle ear she sounds different some kind of idk bbtalk? Just different just saying something smells funny somewhere & why sleep on the ground risking hurting your back when hammocks ROCK?
Kinda like Charlie's angels whose the "guyg" beh being cold
seems like the peer pressure from your fellow outdoor vloggers helped, i see only positive comments
I love your videos. I'm a flutist so I appreciate your playing. Your videos are great. So informative. And intertaining. I just discovered you last night and it made me have a better night's sleep! Please tell who the invisable person is with you doing the filming? Well done with a good clear camera.
Enjoying your videos Lilly, keep up the great work
Another great video.
You not only are a wealth of knowledge but lovely and I admire your appreciation for nature. Trooper girl!
I enjoy your style of camping, rather spartan and practical. If you ever visit Florida, I would like to buy you a beer. Thank you for sharing a glimpse into your world of camping and bushcraft.
One great inspirational, educational, and all around well composed video. Two thumbs up to the "camera man"! 👍👍 And once again great job, Lily.
AWESOME VIDEO, nice to see you having a break from filming...thanks for sharing
I really enjoy your videos, Miss Lilly. They are entertaining and informative. I think your personality and sense of joyful involvement are refreshing. After a dozen or so my favorite remains your Canadian Wilderness one. Your talk to the bears made me laugh.
Wow amazing! Thank you for another awesome video Lilly!
Great comment about leaving no trace. Great advice for all of us in the outdoors.
Interesting video glad you are still at it love your videos that you put on UA-cam
Lilly. Have you ever tried looking for nightcrawlers under rocks and logs? I bet you would catch more fish.
another nice video Lilly , I dont worry to much here in Ontario about the wolves , they have never really bothered me , only passing by camp after midnight
Nettes und flottes Video! Danke fürs mitnehmen Lilly! LG Sepp
Always nice to see someone doing what they love!
Another excellent and entertaining video. Thank you Survival Lilly!
Great video.. You do such a nice job of telling us and showing us your survival camping techniques.
With the wolves, it would have been the perfect oportunity to demonstrate the famous "Sibirisches Wanderscheißhaus"!
