Thanks for the video! I have the exact same issue with mine. Same side and everything! They also wanted to charge me over 900 for the first work. Not including replacing the splash screen, or the waterproof cap on the back. I ordered all parts plus new bulbs for 130. Huge savings! Thanks again for the video! Helped me out and saved a ton of money!

I am so very glad I watched your video. At the same time, I agree and share in your disappointment of the Infiniti luxury cost for repairs. I have had my 2011, at Infiniti, here in, Tulsa, many times. I had their manager call me and tell me the 2011’s are their worst year model and advised me to dump it. Only not at their place! Seems the “service engine soon” light is tell of many possibilities wrong with the car. So many it’s impossible to narrow it down without dropping $2,500. Anyway, my headlight went out and figured it was a bulb. I purchased a pair from Amazon for $10. Watching your video tells me I need to get back online. Thank you for taking the time to make the video and with great detail. Hope you and your family are safe during these times of the pandemic. Blessings to you and yours!

Try to find a reputable shop in your area. Infiniti’s aren’t that hard to work on. German cars are much worse.

You are always the best my marker light I was tapping it but Bentley didn’t want anymore spanking he wants a new bulb lol. Thank you our Infiniti are great with costly repairs but we can get it for a better price than dealership offers. Thank again your the best

Great Vid bout to have to tear into mine. Replaced the fog light and headlight on passenger fog light worked for a day and then stopped and the headlight never worked so this is my next replacement. Went to Infinity dealership to see if they could just see what was wrong and they wanted $180 just to look at it. 😂
I replaced driver headlight on my newly acquired jx 35 it quit in 3 days.. I researched and proceeded to order a new ballast.. NO HEADLIGHT.. soooo I checked the wires going from that headlight into the wiring headlight... the wires have power flow.
I looked up the fuse diagram for this car online finally after wasting two weekends in a row tearing apart the front end of the car trying to find the issue. I thought of that before but my guy friends said naaa it’s not a fuse bc the right headlight works. I looked and guess what the fuse looks blown.
The funny part is I’m a woman, and I’ve been to the local infinity dealer to get some warranty work done a month ago. (Prior to the headlight going out).
Their parts guy in Greenville Sc is Bucky and he couldn’t help me one bit with any information. He later tried to sell me a new headlight assembled for $1600... said they don’t sell the ballast separately. WHAT A RACKET!!!
I called again today after the ballast didn’t make the lights work to ask about fuses. Their same infinity parts expert said he doesn’t know anything about fuses and has no access to the fuse diagrams or any related information that I might want to know about which fuses and / or relay may fix my headlight issues! He did as always like a good boy recommend I bring it in for a service appointment and they could help me.
Is this just because I’m a woman that circle back to just bring it in or do dealerships try this with anyone??

Did you figure this out? About to try to replace my bulb but 1st I will check the fuse! Seems like a much easier fix.

I've got a 2010 qx56 and love it, but yah the headlights are a pain to get to. Man you have a Tap Light on the front of your QX! I'm jealous.
The headlight housing for mine is about $1300 for the part and the dealer would probably round it up to over 2 grand to put it in. Luxury ride = luxury pricing AGREED!

Bro please do yourself a favor and get Milwaukee IMPAC gun with a few sockets it will make the job of taking off your tires so much easier... I can tell you're a DIY guy like myself so you're up under that truck a bit... I know because I have infini too well older than yours... 08 to be exact...but all in all great video, very informative and easy to follow along....

Thanks for watching, I was in the process off finding a “decent” condition used bumper and headlights to do this conversion. But my QX was totaled in an accident.

I feel your pain seems Infiniti Dealers love to say 800 plus or 1000 dls for any small repair I understand they try to make money but what infiniti does is a real steal , my wife took our jx35 for oil change, Trans fluids, change and the rest of the axle fluid change they say two years ago 800 plus dollars plus tax.. I told them is a routine mantenance nothing is broke .. so I was talking with some mechanics around and one of them service my car now , the shop is a well known place unexpensive they do a great job, and show me the parts to be replaced, I only take my jx35 to the dealear when I have "No CHOICE".. Good luck if you have the Engine light ON ...I just want to say How desapointed I am with Infiniti service costs. Thanks

Mr. Remote life want to say thanks for the youtube video. I'm having the same issue with my head light. I purchased the bulb from a auto supply house(O'Reilly auto parts) and it cost me $108.00 just to find out it wasn't the bulb..smh

Yes, from my experience the only issues that you have to look at are the catalytic converters, there are two on these. Also the ride height stabilizer bar in the rear will go out causing the rear to sag and possibly burn out the compressor. The price of Pirelli or Bridgestone 22” tires. Don’t put nothing else on this SUV.

Awesome video. I just got qx80 myself and the led above one of the headlights and the side marker on that headlight is out. Would the ballast effect those also? Do you know how i would replace those?
I didn’t have that model but if it’s really an LED it will be one of two things. Check the fuse that controls that signal or check the cabling. LED shouldn’t blow out under normal conditions.

I got same model.
After replacing battery both HID lights went off at once. All other lights are working. I disconnected the ballast to check input power but there wasn't. What could be the issue.
You got me on this one. I would check fuses first. Then work you way down the power signal path checking voltage.

To replace a light on 2000 qx56 whole assembly, just one, $1977.79, not including bulbs

My Infinity QX56 head light was out, water 💧 in the head light, took it to shop, changed the light-300 dollars, the light was out the same day- took it back, they said it will cost 1600 .
I watched your video, opened the Ballus, water inside, couldn’t unplug it, left it there, to watch your video again, may be wait to dry- the light 💡 is working now. So far the cost 💲 0 dollars. Did you discard the bulb?

Ok, I have condensation inside my headlights. Infiniti quotes me for a new Assembly, just the part, $1,956.00, w the installation $2,900.00. My shop mechanic insists on getting the Infiniti Assembly only and says he can save me money at $2,400.00. I have bought a new aftermarket one w a year warranty for $700.00.
I wish I had never bought an Infiniti!!

Anyone converted these over to LED?
That’s nothing. I was told $5k when my headlights went out. Basically totaling my jx35. I picked up bulbs for $235. One lit right up. The other didn’t. So I ordered a ballast and ignighter for $35 on the Internet- brand new. Took me a while but I fixed it.
