Thanks. The video was pretty clear. One thing I would add to the viewers is that sometimes the bulb isn’t the issue but rather the ballast like in my case. Ballast usually goes dead if too much moisture. I bought the ballast on Amazon and replaced it and it works just fine.
thorough explanation ✅ useless introduction ❌ pointless yapping ❌ fancy recording and editing ❌ straight to the point ✅ helpful and informative ✅ Thank you sir 🫡
Thanks for taking the time to film and post this. After watching your video, I changed both low beams on my wife's 2010 qx56. It wasn't bad at all, but I was definitely trying the wrong ways to get to the bulbs before seeing your video. Thanks again! PS: I bought two Hella D2R5000K bulbs from Roackauto for $63.74 shipped!!!
I can't thank you enough. Local shops all wanted $270 per bulb because they said they had to bring in a specialist to take the bumper off. I turned the wheel like you said, and it was right there.
THANK YOU sir!! Dealership is smoking very strong drugs with the price I got quoted for this headlight replacement! Where would we be without UA-cam!???
Thank you so very much for this video. Just got my very old 2005 out of the shop and the mechanic did a great job but I had no money left to get my headlight bulb replaced. I watched this video and did it myself. Took me about an hour. I didn’t take the wheel off, so didn’t have much room. Got stuck with the clip, guess that’s obvious to other people, but it’s my first time. But it all worked out, thanks to this video. Next time will probably take the wheel off. My tire liner was so rotted, couldn’t fasten it back on. Got to figure that out, but very happy I have lights.
Wow!! This guys explains it so well a baby, thank you so much a big help, I took it to a infinity dealer and they want to charge me $300 for what they say would be 2 to 3 hours of work, also the said they would have to take the bumper off, unbelievable.
I wish I'd found this before I did replaced my HID bulb on my 2006 QX56. Your video is excellent Sir. ... BTW, my bulb was $100.00 at O'Reilly.. (ouch)... an OEM bulb from Infiniti was $250...(carryout part)
Thanks Chief! Appreciate the lesson. Now for a few beers to get this old 60 yr old body into position to fix that bulb! God, they shit so complicated! I just hope I can fix it without taking the wheel off!
@@737mechanic thank you for your response. Well i put in a new LED bulb, and reconnected the electrical plug, and when i turn on HL's it comes on for a split second then turns off.... I dont know what could be the issue.. would it be the ballast?
@@mandapandabambino1570 You need to use a meter and measure the voltage to the ballast and when it turns off see if the voltage is still there or if it is gone. If it is still there but the headlights are off then the ballast would be bad.

Thanks, this video helped lot easier than take the whole front end off like another video showed smh
thank you so much partner !!!! i was doing everything the wrong way ! thank you thank you!!!!
Very detailed video. Thank you.
That’s a lot of work to change the bulb. While your there make sure you check everything, to include the ballast.
Thanks! Great tutorial!
These bulbs are 19.99 on eBay don’t pay $109 each. I hope this helps someone.
Just be aware they are Chinese knockoffs and not Philips Vision bulbs and you will be replacing them again within a year or so.
Thank you saving me money 💴
Thanks for your video sir.
Ds2 bulb or d2r?
Will ballast burn out if the main electrical wires arent disconnected when the ballast is taken off?
No
