  • The Creality Halot One Plus is a 4K resin 3D printer with a 5” colour touch screen, built in WiFi for remote print monitoring and a decent sized print volume.
Resin printers excel at printing incredibly detailed 3D models. Even tiny prints smaller than your thumb nail look very impressive - something almost impossible with filament based 3D printers.
If you’re new to this technology I’d highly recommend you take a look at my previous video that introduces resin 3D printing. There's a link down below. But in essence these printers use UV light to harden liquid resin into your 3D model, layer by layer and with almost invisible layer lines.
I’ll run through the printers’ features and through a selection of test prints I’ll help you decide if this might be the right printer for you.
If you want to skip forward or back at any time in this video, please use the chapter markers UA-cam creates from the timestamps down below and in the pinned comment.

Just bought this printer and I tested on a few minis. I had a misprint due to the printer not being exactly horizontal : beware, it's really important and prevented me from aligning the Z axis perfectly. Once this problem was identified and solved, I could print a few minis and they came out really well. It was my very first impression, and I'm pretty satisfied. I bought the printer during a special promotion and got it for less than 230 euros : it was an excellent deal !

I'm looking to pick this printer up as part of a combo pack that is the printer, the wash/cure station and three bottles of resin. It's a pretty good deal and since I already have an FDM printer, it will compliment my other printer for when I make models and dioramas.

Very informative video that is going to help me choose my next printer, thank you. I'm currently on a Photon Mini 4k and getting infuriated with usability (having to print a stopper if I want to add a flexplate, AntiAliasing not working with Lychee...)
Do you happen to know if AA works from Lychee on this one? It does boast compatibility with the software on its advertisement but you never know...

Thank you - really glad it helped! As I said in the video there are many variables so I may have been lucky - but it really was a doddle using this printer. Sorry I didn't try anti-aliasing - next time I'm printing something I'll give it a go and try to remember to amend the written article accordingly. I also try and amend the written article if I have any issues down the line too.

Thanks for the review! I'm looking to use a 3D printer to make Lego-style mini-figures that I can use in stop motion productions. I'd like to have moveable arms, legs, heads and hands and also be able to make accessories (capes/hoodies/helmets) for the figures. I'd also like to make parts that I could use in Lego models. I've just begun searching and this printer looks like a very viable option. I'm also a little confused about types of resin. I could probably build my own curing device using UV LEDS and a wash station for alcohol/water but I'm not sure what resin would be better for my application Any suggestions? THANKS!

It's really hard to recommend resin - since everyone has different experiences depending on where they print. Temperatures play a massive factor. Siraya Tech probably have the most comprehensive range, so you can choose a resin that has the properties you're after: detail / toughness / speed (of prints) etc. As I stated in the review I quite liked using the water washable resin - so if that has the detail you need, and finer details aren't breaking off to easily that may be an option.

I only have a bedroom wit ha window, is there any way I can print or would I have to build a casing with a vent tube out the window to eliminate fumes?

It does have a built in carbon filter. With the lid closed it shouldn’t be too bad but I wouldn’t want a resin printer in my bedroom. If you must try some of the water washable resin. It’s still nasty stuff but does seem slightly better.

Was gonna get the halot mage (not the pro) but seeing as there is no real reviews for that one (only the pro seems to have an abundance of reviews) I went with the halot one plus. I'm only printing 100mm and smaller with 32mm being the primary prints (ttrpg player).

Haven't received it yet, USPS delivered my package to another address now I'm dealing with the hassle of USPS, Amazon and creality customer service, so far neither wishes to take responsibility or replace the printer ordered.
