Good explanation how to, on the hoses. I getting ready to replace the original oil cooler lines on my 1998 Astro AWD. Any other advice you have removing, installing, how the car sits (I'm limited as I am disabled vet) is appreciated. I'm using a jack on the drivers side so as to give me some room. I see too, you were using a 10mm wrench on the bolt that holds the support for both hoses underneath? Okay, glad you got it fixed. Thanks for your efforts and clear and understandable demo.
Good video, thanks Marc. Getting ready to do this on my AWD Astro. Done it before on 2WD, but wanted to see any differences for the AWD. Looks like you were able to get to the support bracket bolt without lowering the front axle.
There is 3.5 hours of my life gone. My .02 to just save yourself from this being a all day project. AWD van, pull the center link and the 2 nuts for the drag link, pull the two lower front diff bolts and the two pass side diff tube bolts. Doing this gives just enough room to get to that 🤬🤬🤬 10mm bolt that holds the lines to the block. What a stupid fing place to put it. Get ready to curse when trying to get that bolt back in. With diff lowered taking old lines out and putting new ones in was easy. Finally, as he said change the rad. fittings or put new orings in. I tried for giggles not replacing, top line leaks like a mf. Easy to do. Tomorrow.
So, this is no picnic....My van is not lifted, therefore, all your suggestions apply? Is it easier on a stock van to perform this replacement? Thanks!!
I just found a small hole on the front side of the radiator that is leaking coolant and from underneath would look like it lines up right where the oil cooler line fittings are.
Marc, thanks for putting in the effort here to show the struggles and the tips for the new fittings
Just ordered my lines. Thx Marc. God Bless you.

There are few things I truly hate on these vans. This line is one of them. Thanks for the tips.
Lets see how long this takes me.
