Hey man thanks so much for stopping by and showing that support really appreciate it Derrick! It is absolute blast, so much reward for all the hard work you put into it 🤟
As my 2.0 was a kit, I didn't find out what the "stock" mst electronics were like till I picked up an RXX. It's a front motor rwd version. The servo in that stopped 30 min into playing with it lol! I wish I had done a better job documenting my drift car experience on my channel. It's funny, my rmx came with a BMW body too lol. Now I have 8 different bodies to pick from 😊
@@edriftin R J Speed has some pretty cool muscle car bodies. I have their 69 Camaro body. Also, Aplastics is another site to get some different bodies. 👍
Yes! Worked perfectly. I ended up flipping the Servo with the horn more towards the rear when I got my turn buckle kit it came with the longer steering linkage.
I just went to RC Car World for the first time last week, also just getting into the hobby. Did you have any issues with the Yokomo servo shaking out of the box? 2 or 3 folks on Reddit posted it shakes out of the box and needs to get programmed properly to eliminate the shake. Not sure if they received faulty servos or if the default settings are bad and you just have to program it
Typically they will work with alot of different bodies but you may need to adjust height for different style bodies when changing from one body to the next.
The program card is worth every penny between $42-$48. It’s a game changer and can help you dial your turning /hunting and transition of the car on certain turns to where your car is adjusted to your drift style and track setup but if your accustomed or contented to your set up now then don’t invest in the program card. Many comp guys use the PC, just make sure if you do use it annotate your old setting if your not happy with the 😊new settings. Sky is the limit in steering adjustments with the PC. The Japanese made a video on UA-cam with English subtitles about the use of the item. My honest opinion it’s truly night and day if you make the changes.
I upgraded my pinion from a 22 to a 24 because I needed more power at the track and got great results. Now I will consider upgrading it to a 26 tooth pinion when i need even more power, thanks for the feedback.
Fun stuff Eric! I'd like to get an RC car setup for fpv . Or maybe a crawler. ( start slow lol). I can't fly LOS, I'd imagine I couldn't drive LOS either.
Not sure about any outside tracks around me but I think you would need to change the tires to something more firm and possibly change the suspension settings to run on blacktop.
@@edriftinthe reason I did not really buy an only drift car yet. Because I mostly run on black top. All my drift cars come with diffusers of tires. One day I’ll get a drift only car ……maybe lol
DAAAALLLLLEEEE!!! LOVE THE VIDEO!!!
Thanks! 🤘😎
ayeeee that was sick!
Thanks brother 🤟😎
This is so cool buddy!!

Sorry to hear about the servo. Yeah definitely better to upgrade certain parts on the MST. 8 bodies wow! 😲

@storyracing387 thanks for the information bro 🤘😎
Interesting cool video , we really need the video production level upped just a lil bit
Very cool stuff tho!
Were you able to use the factory servo mounts on the v2?
Yes! Worked perfectly. I ended up flipping the Servo with the horn more towards the rear when I got my turn buckle kit it came with the longer steering linkage.
Were the yokomo parts plug and play? also do you have a link for body mount and pinion?
Yokomo parts were plug and play.

I have a yokomo servo for my RMX 2.5 and the servo is registering the opposite of my inputs. do I have to buy a programmer to reverse it?
@@kriswhite8520 You should be able to change the inputs for the steering on the remote and reverse the steering.
@@edriftin thank you. I just bought a new remote🙏🏽

My Servo worked perfectly no issues so far. I have not programmed either.
@@edriftinthanks brother, I ended up purchasing it but haven’t run it yet. Can’t wait.
Did you change your spur gear when changing the pinion gear?
No. Kept the stock spur gear.
what is up y'all those most mag body mounts do those work with all most bodies
Typically they will work with alot of different bodies but you may need to adjust height for different style bodies when changing from one body to the next.
ok cool thank you @@edriftin
what website did you find the bigger gear on for the motor
Did you use a program card for the yokomo servo?
No. Is that something you do typically? I believe we set the endpoints in the radio.
@@edriftin not necessarily needed. Some people fine tune the speed/power etc. of that servo. it is a great servo btw.

@johnjohncrisostomo6152 thanks for your feedback on this! That does not seem like a bad price to unlock all those different options either 🤘
What wheels are you using?
Rev D tires with MST adjustable offset wheels. Usually run 7 in the front and 6 in the rear.
I recently picked up the yokomo gyro and idk what gain I should be on I tried it in the green mode and also the red what would you recommend?
Gain is a little different for everyone but I like to run the Gyro on red and my gain is around 85
How do you compare the high cg motor vs the low cg mate?
The high cg motor position seemed to allow the car to slide a bit longer to me and maintain that angle easier.
Maybe something with rtrs I had an hpi e10 server go on me in less then a week when I switched to 2wd I just ended up going the build route
Hi, i also just got RMX 2.5, what is the effect for changing pinion 25t
Gives a litte more throttle resolution and helps with acceleration in the straights.
Does the 26 pinion make the motor over heat or does it handle it well after a few laps ?
@@andrews2444 no overheating on the ptile or carpet so far for me.

Can you tell me were this track is located I just finished my drift car and I’m looking for a track in New Jersey?
Is this the RC car world track in Cinnaminson?
Rc Car World yes! Cinnaminson NJ
Looking forward to seeing it. We are going there this coming Thursday afternoon.

What carpet do you use?
A very thin/low outdoor carpet.
Hey. Where can i drive a stock rmx 2.5 outside?

25 or 26 tooth pinion, the video looks like 26. I might be doing this upgrade asap
