The whole RC Drifting Community is awesome!! None of that Nonsense racing drama. Not to mention a single battery pack will last foreverrrrrrrrr. SO rad seeing drift cars on here!! LETS GOOOO!
This a great video for people like myself who know nothing about drifting. The throttle control is amazing. It seems relaxing, in away like rock crawling where high speed is not the goal, but control and concentration are paramount.. The place seem to have a very cool atmosphere. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Started with the same chassis a little over 3 months ago. Couldn't even get around my local track once with a clean lap. Sat in my garage for a while, just doing 8's, donuts and transitions around my old UDR tires. After a while, it becomes second nature. I now have 8 different working chassis, all with completely different set-ups. When I go to the local track now, people are asking me how to do set-ups and how to get around certain turns on the track. It's such a great niche area of the hobby. I can spend two or three hours at the shop and not even realize it, like meditation. I love my Slash and Infraction, but RWD drifting is a different world and it's actually harder for me to bash around in the off-road 4WD stuff now.
Can't lie Mark it was literally one of the best rtr rwd drift kits I've ever driven right out the box I was impressed that it had no tuning or upgrades I've never recommend an RTR kit but this was really good I much admit.
One thing when it comes to the bodies in the Drift community , we keep everything detailed and scaled. No poking holes in the body with long mounting post sticking out, get magnet mounts, side mirrors, exhaust pipes, and other body accessories. Make it as exclusive and Street as can be. For your first drift on a track you can tell you will learn fast Mark keep it going!
Mark, great to see you are expanding you collection. Finally a drift car...hope you get the hang of the throttle control. I think if you change your remote you will have better control. Please bring us more drift content...even if once in a while to see your progress.
Glad to see you venture into something different. The tuning/accessory capabilities are endless with rwd drifters! I personally drift rc's and my full size z33 so I'm excited to see more drift content from you.
Happy Fathers Day! And happy to see you finally get into drifting. MST is a great starting car, it’s what I used. I’m working on a Yokomo YD2-SXIII right now.
I've just built my first ever drift car . It is a ts4 nitro rear wheel drive . It was all parts brought off of ebay. so watching this has made A great impression . If you are willing to learn a new style of rc. Then at 59 so can I . Stay safe and sound . All the best from over the pond .
That track is sweet! I got into drifting with a mini z over the winter so I could RC in my house. I was hooked and quickly bought a DriftArt 2.5 rwd chassis and built it up. I'm almost ashamed at how much money I spent in hop ups for such a small vehicle. What makes it really cool is that the chassis' wheelbase is adjustable so you can fit Mini Z bodies up to 1/24 scale model car bodies. I've been having so much fun custom painting bodies. I also got a mini drift track for it that I can just roll up and put away when I'm done using it.
I got hooked on drifting and started making my own chassis. I have some videos on upgrading the MST RMX 2.0 RTR if you're looking for some upgrades. After you do a good receiver its worth getting some good shocks and turnbuckles and you can dial in the alignment. -10 camber in the front, little tow out. -3 rear camber toe in and its dialed.
I myself am picking up a rc mst tomorrow and look forward to getting practice in and drifting with new friends, I used to have an hpi e10 awd drift car so doing this rwd drifting will be a whole new chapter for me
A few years ago i bought a full custom MST setup. built it and used it but then i got into FPV and sold it all to buy my first quad. I always wanted to get back into it but i dont have a place like this by me that i know of.
Yo crazy I got recommended your swap meet video at that hobbytown, I even commented you should go to DARC. Glad to see you went and had a good time and the gang was all there shout out to Platt, Benny, Waren and Angel for showing you the ropes.
Man I’m so excited haven’t even finished the video and can’t wait I’m so glad your getting into the drifting side of things , the darc guys are awesome and helped me out and made me felt like I belonged there awesome dudes !
drift america is a great place. say hi to joe, moe, and liya from scale science in denver. they used to live in denver area and now are local to darc. good place to practice is around that post like you were doing to start. seat time is the better than a great tune
There is another beginner rtr 2wd drift car that I do recommend and you should check it out. It’s the Yokomo YD-2 AC RTR. It’s basically a Yokomo YD-2E LCG chassis. I had mines a little over a year now and it drifts amazing out of the box consider it’s a brushed motor setup. Yokomo did also released a brushless version a couple months back.
Once you add your Futaba radio and pair it with a Futaba Gyro and servo you’ll be gliding across those floors like butter…. Also , The drift scene is a cool scene because not everybody is competitive. We’re all there just to have a little bit of “drift therapy”.
The biggest advice I got when I started off was to buy the tires that everyone else was using at that specific track. They’ve already done the testing for you testing different tire types.
I hear them talking about hearing in airsoft AEG’s! Being into electric RC the transition to Airsoft is like having a lifetime of knowledge must in that hobbie just do not have! Great vid! Found Pri ted parts for these or set o adjustable suspension which is why i’m getting one, I’m use to AWD drift though and don’t like my 1:24 2WD,but i think i’m gonna take the chan e and just upgrade to the Futabi gyro, but you need a six chan radio ,so the RTR kit may not be for me! Thanks for the vid,it was rad! Ultra
Unfortunately a lot of them do which was why they were surprised it didn’t need to much; it does need tiny things here or there but otherwise it’s a solid car
So cool Mark-you have shown us Utubers soo many different variations of rc From pro nitros vehicles --to Crawling with your local Buds. Keep it real my man..
thanks for the video, i want to get into drifting and was getting ready to drop thousands but with this video its helping me decide on maybe a mid tier kind of buy. cheap chassis and get good parts and if i get better upgrade to a carbon chassis later. cant wait!
Those long mount posts 🤣 🤣 these mst rmx are sweet. I just picked up r35 gtr skyline one from hobby store for great price. Had few up upgrades like aluminum spoiler, wheels, magnetic body mounts. They look so good on the shelf too. 🔥 great video 👍
What up dude, just found out about these & got one myself. Building the Sakura D5 now and already want another as well. Maybe I'll catch you up there & we can run some laps. 👍
Been interested in RC car drifting for a while now, and even visited our local RC Drift track and ran their local rental models. It is really enjoyable and relaxing activity to do after work, and absolutely helps on honing the fine throttle control. I feel like it helped me with my off-road truck control as well. The only unfortunate part is the track is a fair bit of drive, so it's not really possible to just pop in for a run or two after work and then head home, I must plan a trip around it, or have it as part of another trip. I've already said that if someone's making an RC drift track in my city, I'm definitely buying my own RC drift car! I've had my sights on that MST RMX 2.0 for a while, ever since Amain posted their series about it.
new to the channel brother, you made me decide if I wanted a new crawler or my first drift car probably be getting the mustang this week! what would you recommend for a servo ?
Hardest thing for me was to not race the track. drift the track! I always want to race the track ...and my son and I we also fingerboard and that place looks awesome for fingerboarding.

I agree with all. Love rock crawling because it's very relaxing and this strikes me as similar in some ways.
About time slacker! Jkjk. Awesome!!!!
Yesss glad to see some drift car content.
Welcome to our dark side mark! You will love it!

That’s sweet. I need to get a Tamiya beetle for my next one
Great video!
Bruh finger-boarding and rc drifting is the best idea I do it all the time at work but having a fingerboard park and a drift spot seems like heaven

The G.O.A.T of all rc classes
Very cool! What an amazing venue. Just bought a 2.5 and I've been practicing on my recently repaved street. Already hooked.
Amazing video mark you rock all ways bring us hobbyists different levels I appreciate your amazing and motivating content in Surface RC

Man I wish you had picked up the magnet kit first and not put holes in the body. Mst should really add that to the rtr
Cool cars nice track

For a first try you did amazing Mark 👏 🔥. I love this video, I can't stop staring at our cars 😆

drifting is so addictive 😊
Sweet! I would want to try drift but there is no track within 2 hours of me. Super cool mark!
Thanks for featuring this shop! I've been wondering if there was a drift track in DFW!
The biggest advice I got when I started off was to buy the tires that everyone else was using at that specific track. They’ve already done the testing for you testing different tire types.
You’ll get the hang of it after a few batteries it’s a challenge to drive but that’s the fun!
Very cool car. Nice to see some different variety of RC coming to the channel. Thanks for sharing
That Tomoya Suzuki FC body is dope
Nice to see something different to a traxxas
Such a fun Rc typology it’s my favorite and this is one type that you can go off on scale realism like crawlers
Awesome video that track looks amazing fun!
Great time dude!

Nice! I run an MST FXX 2.0 with a beastmode v4 conversion, huge fan of rc drift.
One more car I need to get. My lhs has been trying to get me into drifting for a while. Time to get one I guess. Car looks good mark
It's sooo much fun...to watch!
Excellent review! Far too often people think RTRs need upgrades to be any good. 👍🏻
Unfortunately a lot of them do which was why they were surprised it didn’t need to much; it does need tiny things here or there but otherwise it’s a solid car
I have an RMX2.0 and FMX2.0 and I love them both! Drifting is so relaxing compared to racing :)
Whats the difference?
So cool Mark-you have shown us Utubers soo many different variations of rc From pro nitros vehicles --to Crawling with your local Buds. Keep it real my man..
I just picked up this same kit as well! So much fun!! Loving it! Just need to find a track nearby
This whole place is just a complete vibe. I need to get into drifting as well

Good to see you giving it a go brother..it definitely helps your buggy racing 100%
that look like a sweet drift car to start with.

gat damn 😩😩😩😩
As a fellow fingerboarder i knew you were gonna call them tech decks 😂😂
Love both of mine! have heard servo isn't the best but on smooth surfaces you'll be fine, have fun man.
Really nice set up i like it
Can you drive the Traxxas udr again?
Hello from southeast alaska how's your day going bro
👋👋
Got my first drift rc there yesterday. Place is so cool
Mark you should check out the yokomo they are very nice
You have a nice house bro👍
Makes me want to get a drift car now lol
Supper cool man good for you
It's a okay kit but once you advance and drifting, and you're going to need to get a yokomo. They just released the best version the ZX.
💕👍
I predicted this video on instagram lol
Ah man they robbed you on those wheels!
Enjoy the weekend
Happy father's day
Its the 4 shocks 😂 I remember that car.
Congratulations ther super fun I just dropped a drift video now am on my second body👋🌍👍💥💥💥
makes me wanna get one .. that is pretty sweet
new to the channel brother, you made me decide if I wanted a new crawler or my first drift car probably be getting the mustang this week! what would you recommend for a servo ?
Gotta turn up the rpm in tuning. You'll get better drifting at higher rpm
I got one of these earlier this year too. The pin on my lower rear arm keeps sliding out. How do you prevent that?
I wish dirt oval winged sprints would slide like that. 🙂
Cool drift car
Was yours a brushed or brushless version of the rtr
That's is an amazing RC culture that's family
Hardest thing for me was to not race the track. drift the track! I always want to race the track ...and my son and I we also fingerboard and that place looks awesome for fingerboarding.
