Finally made it to RC car world last week with my son to drift our yokomo drift cars an MD 2.0 and SD 2.0 on their track for the first time. It was fun. Learned a lot from it.
I agree with what was said above, -9 camber in the front, it also likes a wider front than rear. I put spacers on my front lower arms to make my front track width and little wider and it helps keep the rear from over rotating. Also running a wider offset wheel in the front than rear helps aswell.
I have been loving this series! Having just bought an RMX 2.5 not too long ago, it has definitely given me lots of upgrades to think about, and its great seeing the changes and hearing the opinions of someone else
Great Video!!! I've been keeping up with your Drift build! I started about 45 days ago with a Redcat RDS as the MST was not easily available when I got mine from mine from Hobbytown. I'm very pleased with the RDS, & just got a sweet set of Yokomo purple Big bore shocks like yours. I also went with the blue O-rings, 10wt oil & some ReveD springs. I actually am using the Reef's Gyro. It's super compact & has a cool aluminum hexagon case design. The Gyro seems to be performing well, although I probably wouldn't know a good one from a bad one this early in my Drifting Journey! lol One thing I've guilty of, is buying multiple sets of rims & tires to experiment...There's so many cool rims & awesome bodies available... It's mind boggling! I've got my eye on the Yokomo SD 1.0 LTS chassis & Futaba Gyro for my next build! From the videos I've seen, the LTS is supposed to be one of the most enjoyable models out there for scale realism! Thanks Again for the excellent content & info! Cheers from OIIIO 🔥🏆💯
Thank you so much for watching and your feedback as well! The RDX is definitely one of the best chassis for the money that I have seen for sure. This hobby is a ton of fun and definitely a deep rabbit hole 🕳 I just purchased the Yokomo MD 1.0 limited edition chassis for my second drift setup which will be using turbo and boost. Stay tuned! 🤘😎
I love that 1UP racing Blue O-ring greese! I just built a RC10 B6.4 and I have the bug for building these RCs now.... I just ordered a Yokomo Super Drift 2.0 (Purple) Can't wait to get out there and drift with you all out here on the road! I also ordered the Redcat RDS RTR and a bunch of upgrades for that, figured I'd let the Nephews Drift that one around. Went with ReveD Servos, Futaba Gyros and Receivers with Hobbywing XD10 and D10 setup. should be a barrel of fun! That Alignment Rack is a great deal! I'm still using a RPM Camber Gauge and a Caliper for the Toe
Nice! Congrats sounds like your all in as well haha I love this hobby. I picked up the MD 1.0 Purple Limited Edition to add to my garage. Hope to see you at the track for sure 🤘
@@edriftin yeah I've been doing a lot of research and I saw some information where people were saying that this Servo is pretty much the same as the Rev d RS-ST but it comes with the program module and is cheaper, AGFRC 19KG Low-Profile High-Torque Programmable-Digital-Servo - So I bought one of those to do some testing
Thanks for the information! I will give it a try for sure. I wanted to start out a little less aggressive and slowly work out with negative camber on the front. 🤘
I bet! I'm still debating on leaving the stock motor and esc on this setup and picking up another chassis for the boost and turbo upgrades. Thanks for watching my friend 🤘😎
@@edriftin Then it is good. It almost same type of radio that you have.. I have screen on my controller and cam on mine if i want:) I edited because i did not see you had answer me:) On the ESC question.

Awesome! Hopefully we will cross paths one day. I have my eyes on the MD 1.0 and 2.0 for sure! Thanks for watching 🤘😎

Another great video !!! These videos have been extremely helpful for newbies like me. Keep them coming !!!
Thanks! I'm having a great time documenting my journey. Lots to learn and share for sure. Thanks for watching as always. 😎🤘
Great video! Have just bought a 2.5 e30. Great that you list up the parts! And you got a new sub:)
Thanks! Much appreciated.
I have the MST and it loves -9 to -10° camber and try something dramatic to see if it feels better or worse
Thanks for the information! I will give it a try for sure. I wanted to start out a little less aggressive and slowly work out with negative camber on the front. 🤘
Once you add that boost and turbo its gonna be way different

Btw. Can you tell me the name of your ESC and your servo? And do you think radio link r8cx is a good controller for drifting?
ESC is the stock hobbywing that comes with the MST RMX 2.5 brushless. The Servo is the Yokomo V2.
I have not seen the radio link. I'm using the Frsky Noble NB4 radio.

@@edriftin Thanks. But it was orange/red?
What springs?
Rev D springs. Soft in the front and medium in the rear.
@@edriftinwhat length front and rear springs?
@@kriswhite8520 links are in the description with the measurements.
Your gyro doesn’t seem to be helping you out, as soon as you hit the throttle it wants to straighten out. Need more gyro.
I recently turned it up to 85 🤘 thanks for the info
@@edriftin just depends I’m a galm user it’ll also depend on your weight of the car, rear weight bias,
