@@evilone543 some say they actually grow faster in freshwater since they do not have to deal with salt removal! I grew some for a while. They are slow to grow though.
@@CGLFishing I'm doing a little more research on my lunchbreak. Looks like they need a nutrient rich setup and high light. I might have to give them a try soon.

Using mangroves in saltwater scapes is an outstanding idea. It might actually make me cross over from freshwater.

FYI, mangroves are not native to the Hawaiian chain of islands. They were introduced by the US military back in the early part of the 20th century.
