Can we talk about that split second one line " how dare you save your daughter when you murdered mine." That was definitely a parent to parent moment. Lady D genuinely cared about her daughters despite being striped of all her human morality. Her ambition was focused on avenging her daughters deaths and that detail makes Lady Dimitrescu one of many well written characters for a horror game

The work put behind this character is A++. The voice acting, the way she carries herself and her attitude, the unique, elegant and memorable character design, the realism. Also I love how they decided to make an attractive female character over the age of 30.

Man i feel so bad for Alcina. In the game you can find a note where alcina says she had loved them from the moment they saw each others. She saw them as her very own flesh and blood daughers. I mean she is a vampire so she likely spent years and years alone and like she said she put blood sweat and tears into raising them and has love for them. She even says in her boss fight "why should you have your daugher when you killed MY daughers". It's interesting to see ethean going through hell for his child and family but doesn't hesitate to kill Alcina's children. It really does show how a parent's love will make them lay their lives down for their kids but obvi has no hesitation for hurting another person's kid(s) she is also the only character who actually feels like a real person with feelings

Lady Dimitrescu's voice actor should have been given to Mother Miranda. She just sounds more like the voice of a boss. More regal, composed, rich, haughty, etc. Her protest to Miranda's decision sounded more commanding than Miranda's own "SILENCE" later on. By comparison Mother Miranda almost sounds like she would have been one of Lady's daughters.

Miranda should have never been a thing in the first place and Lady D should have been the main Villain. Miranda is a Joke compared to Alcina, the idea that a lady as powerful as Alcina would bow down to Miranda is ridiculous.

I think it doesn't make sense as a line and this is why is perfect! Villains aren't aware to be villains, in her own mind she really believes she has the same right to complain about the situation as Ethan has, while completely disregarding SHE is partially why Ethan is there and why he had to kill her daughters to survive. I think it's a perfect human reaction for an inhumane character

If you actually paid attention to Mother Miranda's story this is heavily not true, lady Dimitrescu would've gone down the same hole of insanity if left alive without her daughters, Miranda's whole thing here is that she has literally raised a town of experimental cattle for the sake of getting her daughter back, it's wrong, it's twisted, but it's definitely born out of emotion and a very deranged love for her daughter. Lady Dimitrescu is a good character but the rest of them are also really fleshed out in terms of lore and character development.
When the demo came out,i thought the whole game was going to be based off of her.she was so well written and so were her daughters

I'm hoping for DLC, a spinoff game or saving them for RE 9. Alcina and her daughters were such fantastic villains gone way too soon and Capcom knows they can make a ton of money off of making more content with these characters.

@@aurelia1865 Ethan actually died in RE7 he was murdered by Jack and became a mold which gives him regeneration powers. That's why he is able to overcome the brutal injuries. It's all explained at the end of this phenomenal game.

It‘s a shame Lady D was not the main Villain of this game, as she is a far more interesting character than Miranda. Lady D was the perfect combination of SEXY and terrifying, an extremely exciting combination that I‘ve never really seen a character pull off the way she did. Miranda is just boring in comparison. Dimitrescu boss fight and death made NO sense whatsoever, they could have AT LEAST made her reappear for a second fight near the end! She has so much potential, I hope they bring her back at some point.
At least the castle was as huge and beautifully detailed as I‘ve expected, so that‘s one good thing.

Yeah im not a big fan of the whole "you overhyped them too much". Im pretty sure it was Capcom that used her quite a lot in promotional material. Even if that wasn't true, there's something to be said on the lack of complexity of the other antagonists. Don't get me wrong they are serviceable. But they are just that, serviceable. Lady D has this interesing dynamic paralleling Ethan Winters as a parent. Both would do anything for their children albeit Lady D's idea of parenthood is unorthodox to put it lightly. Would've been far more interesting to explore those aspects of parenthood. Perhaps exploring what intentions she would have with Rose. I find her misandrist attitude pretty interesting perhaps she would have felt the need to take Rose as her own not trusting men who lead violent lives to raise her. That's just my idea tho. Or perhaps a very intersting exploration of how ironic it is that she hails herself as a motherly person even though she was responsible for taking three young maidens and forcing them to become her daughters in a messed up sort of maternal way.
