No eva had lived her life despite it being very brief due to the spanish flu. Miranda took the lives of people in search for a child that was long gone. Ethan just stopped a delusional person from taking his child even if years before miranda and the four lords took so much more in that village.
I think what makes this even more sad is that Ethan never really found true happiness, I mean sure things settled down and they had a daughter but everything went to hell again later on

It's a reboot in the writing of how the events unfold in the game. With RE 7 and 8, we're not in an nth zombie rampage game trope that started with RE 2. We're getting elements from other horror films or games (clocktower on snes for example). In these 2 games, you find yourself multiple times powerless in front of invincible monster who chase you, with running away being your only option. It's a change of pace regarding the events and actions of the plot unfold, hence my comment on "writing" reboot

This was so freaking beautiful...Ethan is a True Hero...he went through hell & back, LITERALLY, to get his daughter back, even though his journey ended before it started (almost reminds me of Scorpion in MK, except Ethan still had his family alive) This was an amazing ending, a brilliant way to end an era...there's only curiosity of what's to come in the future now... #BringBackLadyDimitrescu
The most intriguing part of this is the dialogue in the end "we have a clear shot". Suggests that rose is always monitored by, (whatever agency Chris is working with). Kind of sad for rose to be treated like that and not having a normal life

I just don't think I have enough ammo or first aids to deal with her, I only have one first aid and no crafting components to make any more! Also there are NO herbs or first aids dropped during the fight, which means I only have ONE first aid and only a small amount of ammo. I think I'm fucked.

As someone named Ethan, it is extra creepy for me to see this from a first person point of view. Watching Miranda rip his heart out spooked the hell out of me. Hearing Ethan's story was very interesting too, and it did certainly explain how Ethan was able to heal himself the way he did, and it really explained how he was able to talk to the real non infected Jack Baker in the mold. The only thing I do not understand is how he never knew about that and why Mia never explained it to him. Was this the same scenario for Mia and the Baker family, too? That is another thing I do not understand.
I think it’s only Ethan, whenever the others were infected it had a strong control over their psyche and they clearly succumbed to Evelyn’s wishes, while Ethan never had that happen to him. I theorize that has something to do with him already being dead and Eve didn’t have a real soul to possess I suppose… And I think Mia just wanted to protect Ethan too.. imagine how much it would mess with your mind if you were told that you’re actually dead, and that Evelyn’s infection still has some connection to you.. I know Id spend every waking day waiting to finally rot away.. there’s no way I could move on from that and live a normal life!

Initially I didn’t envelop so much empathy with this character, but every time I played the game bit by bit I get very affectionate to him, Ethan is a true hero, I thought he was dead before and you needed to fight mother Miranda with Chris but he fight all monsters and did the last battle for his daughter and he won, badass.

Yes Rose is basically made of mold. Since Ethan was literally dead and infected when she was conceived and born, she inherited Eveline's powers. Which is also why the Umbrella agent calls her "Eveline" since she's the image of this past experiment but more powerful.
Sorry bro, just the way the world works, normal people usually get stuff last, with games it usually goes in order of Devs/Testers/Executives (If they want one)/Journalist/Influencers/Game Store Manager/Normal in that order. Edit: I used to be a tester so we'd usually get a free copy of whatever we were working on that entire time if we wanted it, most the time we'd just trade the game in or sell it for extra cash, move to any major city where game studios exist and you can usually find pre-owned copies of brand new games day 1 for that exact reason.
My strategy during this fight was to frantically run in a circle while occasionally taking potshots at Miranda when she stopped attacking me. Looked horrible but was very effective 🤣
I bought like 50 healing things and just kept using them because I kept getting hit then decided to use the circle method like half way in which worked well
So to sum it up, Ethan's story ended, Mia was actually alive and Chris wasn't actually insane, etc and somehow was the work of the BSAA even though they originally fought against the viruses (still no mention of Jill?!) Rose essentially becomes to be trained as...I assume an agent, by Chris and she's well aware of the events of RE7 and Village. And seeing as she can traverse anywhere publicly, even with strangers, she has the ability to control her molded abilities unlike Eveline who not just was out of control but also aging due to not being put under the treatment she was in (presumably unless later on Rose happens to be taking it). Mia isn't seen later on, so she must be I guess living a quiet life or an agent herself. Okay....so this went in a lot of directions. I'm hoping we can have a good roundabout to know how these correlate into each other later on
I though Jill died back in RE5, also Chris sister, Clair, also died. I can be wrong since Chris never mention Jill or his sister or any former protagonists at all.

As for Claire she is very much alive, as in games she lived still after Revelations 2, as well as manga dating an incident in 2014 where it still is the latest we see her alive. If I had to assume he never mentioned them probably due to non relevance, that or the directors have other plans upcoming

I think in RE9, the duke is the actual true enemy and manipulated Miranda to get what he wants. He helps Ethan throughout the game and somehow gets a carriage inside of dimitrescu house. I know that he was allowed inside but she must’ve found out that the duke was helping Ethan. Also maybe his power from the megamycete is to control people

This was so freaking beautiful...Ethan is a True Hero...he went through hell & back, LITERALLY, to get his daughter back, even though his journey ended before it started (almost reminds me of Scorpion in MK, except Ethan still had his family alive) This was an amazing ending, a brilliant way to end an era...there's only curiosity of what's to come in the future now...

I think the Problem with her is that her Animations are hard to see thanks to all the Effects around her..this is really bad in her flying form

I just don't think I have enough ammo or first aids to deal with her, I only have one first aid and no crafting components to make any more! Also there are NO herbs or first aids dropped during the fight, which means I only have ONE first aid and only a small amount of ammo. I think I'm fucked.

As someone named Ethan, it is extra creepy for me to see this from a first person point of view. Watching Miranda rip his heart out spooked the hell out of me. Hearing Ethan's story was very interesting too, and it did certainly explain how Ethan was able to heal himself the way he did, and it really explained how he was able to talk to the real non infected Jack Baker in the mold. The only thing I do not understand is how he never knew about that and why Mia never explained it to him. Was this the same scenario for Mia and the Baker family, too? That is another thing I do not understand.

I think it’s only Ethan, whenever the others were infected it had a strong control over their psyche and they clearly succumbed to Evelyn’s wishes, while Ethan never had that happen to him. I theorize that has something to do with him already being dead and Eve didn’t have a real soul to possess I suppose… And I think Mia just wanted to protect Ethan too.. imagine how much it would mess with your mind if you were told that you’re actually dead, and that Evelyn’s infection still has some connection to you.. I know Id spend every waking day waiting to finally rot away.. there’s no way I could move on from that and live a normal life!

Initially I didn’t envelop so much empathy with this character, but every time I played the game bit by bit I get very affectionate to him, Ethan is a true hero, I thought he was dead before and you needed to fight mother Miranda with Chris but he fight all monsters and did the last battle for his daughter and he won, badass.

Yes Rose is basically made of mold. Since Ethan was literally dead and infected when she was conceived and born, she inherited Eveline's powers. Which is also why the Umbrella agent calls her "Eveline" since she's the image of this past experiment but more powerful.

Edit: I used to be a tester so we'd usually get a free copy of whatever we were working on that entire time if we wanted it, most the time we'd just trade the game in or sell it for extra cash, move to any major city where game studios exist and you can usually find pre-owned copies of brand new games day 1 for that exact reason.

My strategy during this fight was to frantically run in a circle while occasionally taking potshots at Miranda when she stopped attacking me.
Looked horrible but was very effective 🤣
I bought like 50 healing things and just kept using them because I kept getting hit then decided to use the circle method like half way in which worked well
Absolutely a perfect ending for Ethan’s story.
Next resident evil, Ethan gets reanimated and blasts is way through a cult stronghold
So to sum it up, Ethan's story ended, Mia was actually alive and Chris wasn't actually insane, etc and somehow was the work of the BSAA even though they originally fought against the viruses (still no mention of Jill?!) Rose essentially becomes to be trained as...I assume an agent, by Chris and she's well aware of the events of RE7 and Village. And seeing as she can traverse anywhere publicly, even with strangers, she has the ability to control her molded abilities unlike Eveline who not just was out of control but also aging due to not being put under the treatment she was in (presumably unless later on Rose happens to be taking it). Mia isn't seen later on, so she must be I guess living a quiet life or an agent herself. Okay....so this went in a lot of directions. I'm hoping we can have a good roundabout to know how these correlate into each other later on

I though Jill died back in RE5, also Chris sister, Clair, also died. I can be wrong since Chris never mention Jill or his sister or any former protagonists at all.

As for Claire she is very much alive, as in games she lived still after Revelations 2, as well as manga dating an incident in 2014 where it still is the latest we see her alive.

I love this boss fight. It's a great build-up to fighting Mother Miranda. It's like you're fighting a False Goddess.
I think in RE9, the duke is the actual true enemy and manipulated Miranda to get what he wants. He helps Ethan throughout the game and somehow gets a carriage inside of dimitrescu house. I know that he was allowed inside but she must’ve found out that the duke was helping Ethan. Also maybe his power from the megamycete is to control people
