that's one of the reasons why Jinjer is much, much more then a metal band!!!!!!!!!!!!!
maybe next: JINJER - Wallflower (Official Video) | Napalm Records

Thanks for the recommendation, it will go right into the list (which is ridiculously long at this point). As an update as well this track has become a staple of my playlists since the reaction. The more I have listened the more I have focussed on the music, especially the outro. Fantastic whereas at the time I think my mind got too caught up in what was going to happen in the vocals.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, also what else should we be getting on the channel to react to?

Jinjer doing Jinjer things, I love that they can pull off a serious in your face all out metal song, and then do something subdued and still very powerful like Bad Water!

For me, Bad Water is middle of the pack Jinjer song. As Double_J mentioned, it is one of only 3 Jinjer songs with no harsh vocals. The other two are Prologue & Beggar's Dance, the intro & outro tracks of 2016's King of Everything album. They are both very interesting, & make for an excellent double feature reaction.
I think we should move you toward the other end of the Jinjer spectrum for your next Jinjer reaction:
    1. Home Back is a brilliant, intense, technical piece with a wonderful surprise interlude in the middle. The Official Music Video perfectly captures the lyrical subject matter, which is in itself very heavy, being about how war brutalizes & destroys child-like innocence. The song was written in the aftermath of the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea & support of militant separatists in the Donbass region of Ukraine, where 3 of the 4 band members are from (the drummer being from the Kiev region).
    2. Ape is a short piece which I consider to be one of Jinjer's pre-eminent "heavy jazz" songs. The 1st section especially gives me avant-garde jazz vibes because it has such a chaotic feel, & yet it is obviously very precisely planned & executed & not at all improvisational. Lyrically, Tatiana takes on the role of Mother Nature lamenting the fact that she has created this voracious, "bloodthirsty ape who walks upright".

Every Jinjer song is different Bad Water is very much a jazz piece. You never know what to expect in a Jinjer song.

I should also note that Tatiana spent many nights singing with harsh vocals in her old band Prophecy and not so harsh vocals in her band The Kodry and also as a solo singer in local bars and such. She could sing any genre
of music and make it work

Funny you were hinting at the "Jinjer experience" and then play one of the only songs in their catalog that doesn't have that surprise for everyone 🤣🤣 - That Bass outro though, awesome!

Looking back and on multiple further listens I am glad to find one that was away from the 'Jinjer Experience'. Keeps us on our toes and shows the range of the artist. It has grown and grown on me, especially that bass outro. Thanks for the view and comment.

they only have 3 songs with zero harsh vocals: this one, and then the intro and outro for the King of Everything album. [edit: i misremembered the length -- they're a bit longer than i thought]
I agree - i always feel like i want to hear some kind of growl , but can not find a place where it would be appropriate (could have worked if the song was a bit more dynamic).
as for the question "where does this sit in the Jinjer pantheon?" ... we like it, but i doubt it's at the top of anyone's list.
for a _mostly_ clean song, Wallflower is amazing.
but Tati is queen of the switch-up - for the most part, just pick a song.

Prologue & Beggar's Dance are closer to 3 minutes each.

And also pre-Kim, despite his appearance in the video. This video was made after Mantulin's unfortunate accident.

The official live version is a much better version. I hey shine in their live performances. I recommend "Who is Gonna be the One" (Live, Napalm Records) as a follow up. Good reaction (Subbed)

Lol Jinjer is ukrainian proggy djent groove metal with complex time-signature maze, polyrhythms and multi-genre blending. They are one of the most talented 4-pieces ever. Tati is one of the best overall metal vocalists and lyricists in the business.
