helo mate. great videos. I really like the way you teach. I am using Macbook pro, Traktor s4 and software traktor aswell. I might be close to get my very first gig. Aside the equipment I mentioned will I need an audio interface ? would that make any sound quality or punch difference?

Hi Phil, you're probably familiar with the Numark Mixtrack Pro which has Numark's I/O built in. Is it worth buying a seperate soundcard to increase the quality? Or do you think the I/O does exactly the same job? Thanks and nice videos!
Great tutorial, can you only configure the audio interface to work with dj software or can you use it to play music through your iTunes and other application's. I have Window's 7 if that matter's. Thank's

NOW the issue, I want to stream live video and audio, to do this I need to capture the audio outputs and send that into my laptop for streaming to software online, when I split the audio out of the controller and run it to the laptop I get bad audio latency and general bad behaviour from the setup, been told I need an audio interface to sort out the audio issue, pioneer are no help, hopefully this makes sense, find it hard to believe I need more equipment to make the all ready high end stuff WORK! Any help appreciated spent a year trying to find answers. Thanks.
You can try using a software called OBS (Open Broadcast Software). It’s not the most user-friendly out there, but if you use that coupled with another app called Soundflower for your Mac, you can route the audio from your DDJ-RZ straight to the OBS app - it’ll take a bit of configuring to work - best to send a support ticket to the OBS / Soundflower folk :)
Yes but it's not always the best solution. If you can afford it, we recommend that you get a dedicated audio interface to ensure the best quality sound :-)
I recently emailed virtual dj on this issue about my music dragging. I have to restart the program in order for this to stop. They told me I have sound card issue with my MacBook pro that I bought in October. Should I buy an audio interface? Please help

I have a studio standard mic with the Rode Microphone and I wish to use that as my mic as my main mic for when i dj and do interviews but i can't seem to get sound to work real time as i speak, it only records it and i have to play it back how can i fix it?
So, let me see if I got this right: I need ONE extra audio interface besides the one that comes in my computer? I saw another video that says I need TWO audio interfaces... :( Oh, and my controller is a DJ Control Compact from Hercules.
The Control Compact doesn't have an audio interface built-in, so you'll either want to get one separately or just use a splitter cable - check out this talkthrough on that controller about 35 seconds in: ua-cam.com/video/0bObNcfFrCI/v-deo.html

@@digitaldjtips I was scratching my head thinking, who still uses 2 separate cards? Then I noticed the video was over 8 years old. Much has changed. Hi mate, I’ve got a DDJ-400 and I’ve just bought an audio interface and also a mic.. I’m hoping to play some instruments and get my girlfriend do some songs for me, can I use the interface to add her voice into my songs and the same with the instruments I play?
@@digitaldjtips so, I’m hoping to create music on my DDJ-400 and incorporate my girlfriends voice and sounds of instruments into my music, does that make sense?
So for example say I’ve made a song on the DDJ-400, can I then use my audio interface to add samples of say a trumpet, or some notes from my guitar.. add that to the song and change it up a bit? Hope I’m making sense it sounds right in my head 😂 probably not to anyone else.. please help! 🙏🏽
Yeah there's definitely confusion here, you don't "make" songs with a DDJ-400, it's a DJ controller for mixing two songs that have already been made together. For making music you need a DAW like Ableton or Logic and your audio interface for recording things like vocals.

No, some controllers don't even have one sound card but this is becoming more and more uncommon these days. It is always best to check the individual specifications of each product and be sure before you buy! :-)
1. Seven and a half minutes and you are repeating the same thing again and again. 2.
