    I did this last week and totally worth doing. I’m sure it’s quicker for someone more knowledgeable but I am here to encourage the diy-era … Take your time and it’ll look brand new!

    Don't push from the passenger side as suggested. You have to align the front vents first and then you can clip in the rest. Just a tip from somebody who has removed that piece about 500 times haha!

    Thanks for the tutorial. I was able to do this in about a half hour. I lined up the clips, started in the middle then left right.

    Thank you dude, just did mine and I really appreciate the step by step, one thing I will add. There is a clip holding the wires in place (start/stop, AC) and that clip needs to be pulled off too with a tool or fingers

    Great video. I just experienced a similar situation with a vent clip on phone holder. Thanks so much 👍

    Awesome. Thank you. Just replaced the vent. The thing that gave me trouble was the same as yours. Good to know that the clip needs to go above the triangle shaped piece but below the T. I had it on twice below and above and neither worked well.
    did the same thing with the phone holder. Now I have one that clips on top and sticks to the dash.

    Was going to replace mine until i saw this. I assumed you could just pop the plastic heater bit off and clip in the replacement. But after this, ill put up with my broken one ( which a phone holder did cause )

    THANK YOU. I bought a kit from Amazon for 25 euro and instaled it in 1 hour. You need something to pry the clips. Your fingers are not enough😅.😅😅

    I am confused. Are you saying that the panel just pops off without taking the whole car apart? I dropped a small tool down the right side vent and need to retrieve it. Just pop off the panel and basically I can get that tool. Whoa.

    • @BIMMERLEAGUE
      @BIMMERLEAGUE  6 місяців тому

      Yeah the panel is held by retained clips just pops off

    • @Court62
      @Court62 2 місяці тому

      @BIMMERLEAGUE sorry. I'm not explaining it clearly. Is this a 2-part piece? I don't need to replace the outer part, just the "cover" as one of the vent slats has broken off.
      Everything functions, but it is not aesthetic.
      Tnx
