A muffin with vegetables as the primary ingredient? Josh, you feeling okay?
I can’t believe I’ve done this
@@TheMealPrepManual Blink once if you need to have help sent to you.
As a veggie hater, these were pretty fucking good lol.
"Shut up plant boy, that's loser talk" made me spit out my coffee. God, I love this channel.
I started using one of those knife safety gloves while grating carrots & cheese by hand. Saves your skin & nails & can be tossed in the washing machine.
We appreciate your personal sacrifice, in helping us all disguise our vegetables. Well done!
I love seeing a snack city recipe that I have all the ingredients for RIGHT NOW.
Folks, I highly recommend you get a food processor. I bought a $100 one way back with some attachments and have never looked back. Way easier than a cheese grater. Mandolins are another nice thing. You can take a half cup of the shredded veggies spoon into a potato ricer to get all the liquid out. This recipe is awesome and I make a batch of these a few times a month.
Hey man, i am from germany and i love your Videos SOOOOOO MUCH. I have a tipp for you. You can use juicer for the carrots. The juice i use for my green smothies to give them a better taste. The dry leftovers is will use from now for these recipe. I guess you can make the same with the zuccine and freeze the juice. The green smoothis btw i have from your videos how to become a superhuman. Wow, the more i think about it, thats the ideal way to use really everything. I like to freeze the juices because when you make smoothies you need a lot Ice-things that you dont have a warm smoothie at the end. thank you Josh
I love that these are gluten-free without a proprietary mix, I love that they have hidden veggies, and I love Zwilling! One step is missing with sealing those bags though. After extracting the air from the bags, press the center of the red button to complete the seal. I used to wonder why sometimes I would find the bags had lost their seal, until I read the instructions, lol.
Nice one-two punch with these for some veggies and the pumpkin muffins you made for the protein boost
I knew there was a good reason I subscribed to this channel
Since discovering your channel... I've eating baked oats... apple/cinamon and sherry/choc hit my spot. I think I will need to try this muffin-batter... but, as I try to overpower you in lazyness, will take the baked-oats approach and slice em afterwards.
My meal prep for this week is already in the fridge so maybe next week I can make these muffins.
Love zwilling system..just made these muffins they were some work but my gosh they are so delicious. Thank you for recipe
"Shut up plant boy, that's loser talk!"
love your humor
Yea l love Veggies made Great muffins.. Eat them daily but the price is nuts and they have gone up even higher here in Florida. They are now almost 8.00 a box. I am so glad to find this recipe. Still new here but everything we have watched and tried has been great. My hubby is really happy because this product is hard to find and he is sick of running all over town for my "supply". Thank you for a informative and motivating channel!
Can't wait to make them.
I’ve never been so excited to a recipe because I love those Veggies Made Great muffins. Thanks for this!!
What's even better is that a handful of zucchini only costs a few bucks. A few carrots less than that. Honestly this whole recipe is nice and cheap and probably only costs cents per muffin!
when I made the recipe I didn’t have enough bananas or eggs, so I substituted:
3 bananas for: 1 banana + 1 cup unsweet applesauce
6 eggs for: 2 eggs + 3/4 cup egg whites
I made some in a muffin tray with liners and some in an 8x8 brownie pan, which needed closer to 35 mins (not positive because I checked it every 6 mins with a knife)
I liked them a little better from the brownie pan, but they were both also better once they cooled off!!
also definitely used a food processor for grating, I gave up hand-shredding carrots from the pain and length of time it takes
I just made these and they are delicious! I got 18 jumbo size muffins for 198 calories each when dividing the total recipe. Even my vegetable hating roommate ate three instead of dinner.
Amazing. Glad you enjoyed them 🫡
Omg! These look amazing! Snack City is my missing link!! Thank you!!
Use a juicer and you can get juice as well. That pulp is basically what comes out from the high speed (cheaper) ones.
For someone who says they hate vegetables, you sure eat a lot of vegetables :^)
You sir, are a culinary genius
glad you enjoyed
AWESOME VIDS AS ALWAYS

😂😂 I gave up the muffin for the cake pan a few months ago same mind set 👏🏾
lol
Looks good mate
Thank you 🫡
Going to see who all i can surprise with this.
Go Phins! Oh, and love your content also. :)
this looks so much like cookbook author Hannah Grant (i just bought her books with cake using veggies) :D Well done!
I’ve never heard of her but she sounds like a genius 🫡
Oh boy, always looking for ways to get more veggies! Any suggestions for maple syrup alternatives?
I think honey works?
sugar
Vegans are really fond of agave syrup!
Smart.
Y'all, we got 'em. Found the muffin man.
Can I substitute with almond flour?
Veggies in a muffin?
Blink twice if you have been kidnapped
I love watching all the snack city vids like I'm going to make them, dream and drool, and then never make them
I am going to actually do this this weekend for me. But I am thinking what about a bit more protein? Maybe leave the liquid the veg and add chocolate protein powder? and instead of chocolate chips use peanut butter chips?
That would probably be okay
This is so smart, because vegetables are so disgusting. You are a genius hun x
What don't you like about them? Maybe I can help. Lots of times they're just cooked wrong. Like, I love zucchini but nothing is more gross than mushy overcooked, bitter, slimey zucchini. It should be firm but tender and well seasoned
@@msjkramey I don’t like them however they’re cooked, I take them as a disgusting smoothie first thing to get them out of the way 🧠
Thoughts on how to sneak some protein powder into this recipe?
Maybe like 60 grams of a 50/50 blend of whey and casein and add some kind of fat to keep it from drying out too much
@@TheMealPrepManual sounds worth trying! Thanks!
I now know what I'm making for my brother's birthday.
Is there a way to add protein powder to this without messing up the muffin?
Maybe like 60 grams of a 50/50 blend of whey and casein and add some kind of fat to keep it from drying out too much
Joshie Crocker! :)
Those box graters are evil. I have a neighbor who sliced her finger so badly. Thanks for your efforts!
Would love more 1,000 calories meal :)
Wow. Im going to have to use some food dye for my kids though 😂
add cocoa powder! One of my favorite cake recipes is chocolate zucchini and you can neither see nor taste the plant material. 100% kid tested & approved.
@@superfund42 great suggestion! I'll try that 🙂
@@superfund42 Wow!
Did you use real maple syrup? I'm trying to figure out if it was factored into the macros.
I just double checked. The syrup was included in the calculation but it looked a little light in the database I use and I didn't catch it when I wrote out the recipe. I use an API called Spoonacular and they have 240g of syrup at 650 calories. I checked the USDA Nutrition database as well and they have it at 624 calories. The label of the maple syrup in my fridge says 840 calories. If it is 840 calories per cup, it would be about 126 calories per muffin and 21g of carbs. Good eye
I have the same monkey brain but not going to be a cry-ass about it. I'm not home this week so I'll have to wait until I'm there to dry this. I SO LOVE muffins like this. Can't wait.

I want to try these with applesauce instead of banana🤔
Do you think it could be cooked in a big tray like a brwonie for example??
Yes
@@TheMealPrepManual Thank you
Can I use whey or casein powder to increase the protein?
You could but I wouldn’t add more than 60g and you may need more liquid
@@TheMealPrepManual Thank you :)
Would avocado be a suitable substitute for the bananas? I'm allergic to bananas :\
Avocados are a lot more fatty and far less sweet than bananas are. You'll probably need to add extra sweetness to the recipe since Josh is using bananas to flavor and disguise the taste of vegetables
Dude i literally made muffins due to the same brand just yesterday
can I use spinach
I wouldn’t recommend that but you could maybe toss a little bit of wilted spinach in
@@TheMealPrepManual you could make some for next video 👀
zucchini is the word of evil in my dictionary. oh well, at least it was so far. i'm wondering if it could work with pushing them (and the carrots) in a juicer?
I think that may take too much of the liquid out and will make them dry but you could probably dump in a bit of the juice
I’ll try it because I’ve never tried a recipe from this cat that wasn’t A1…
One cup of maple !! This is gonna cost me a kidney
hello josh
Hello Fuwafuwa
@@TheMealPrepManual i make your mac and cheese and milkshakes every week. Thank you
Healthy AND delicious? Unmatched 🙌
SNACK CITY🎉

Without eatching the video yet my guess is zucchini.
Does it get stuck to the bottom of the pan? Everytime i try it gets stuck :( idk why
It depends on the pan in my experience. One of my pans comes out completely clean and the other sticks a bit where I have to use a butter knife to help them come out
100% buying a food processor with a grater attachment. Didn't even know that was a thing.
Let’s gooooo
TARGET?!?
Anyone who took that video as an attack of Jack should take a second look. I feel bad for Jack, but you did nothing wrong.
As a Jets fan...screw your Dolphins lol
ew gross
Do I tell the family that there are vegetables or is that my own little secret...
No way josh is trying to put veggies in my food. Blink twice if you're held at gun point
looks like bananas and carrots
You lost me at 2024 Superbowl Champs
you will have to accept it eventually
@@TheMealPrepManual haha fair enough
You had me... Until you added the banana. I don't know why but I hate them so much. Can't stand the smell cant stand the taste. And it sucks so hard because bananas are used in a lot of really creative food hacks like this! RIP!
Solid recipe but you mispronounced Baltimore Ravens
Week 2 of last season was one of the funnest times I can remember being a dolphins fan.
@@TheMealPrepManual Too bad they had to end that game at halftime tho
Interesting recipe, but 40 g of maple syrup and 15 g of chocolate chips for 100 g of vegetables? I think I'd replace some of the oat flour with whey and cut down on the syrup. To each their own though.
I used half a cup of maple syrup (because that was all I had,Lol) and the muffins turned out fine. I'd probably would cut back on the bananas and use some applesauce , it was a little too much banana bread like for my taste. And, I forgot to add the chocolate chips so that cut out some calories too. Don't miss them
Why do you sound like a 47 year old man with grey hair? Your videos are very good though and funny.
haha I had never heard that once in my life until I started making UA-cam videos haha now I hear it all the time
@@TheMealPrepManual still very good videos, my man
Things I don't have time for when I'm meal prep'ing to save time: 1) grating and squeezing vegetables one by one and 2) loading muffin tins one by one with an ice cream scoop. According to your recipe, each muffin has 16 grams of zucchini and 3 grams of carrots, so you aren't even "sneaking in" that much of the vegetables. At that point you should just buy a greens drink if you want to consume vegetables more easily.
okay sorry
@@TheMealPrepManual No apology or reply is warranted. I watched the video and commented upon what really stuck out to me.
so it is essentially zucchini bread and I got it before I clicked on the video. And I was hoping for something new or different.
Before watching I will guess zucchini
