All these modern cars bankrupt the owners because they are crap. Major mechanical failures like Ford ranger gearboxes BMW turbos K8a and Hyundai engine failures etc. Do your research.
Also add the RX-8 rotary's apex seal failure ... agree fully ... I would not touch any of these cars .... all garbage. Except the GREEN Mazda2 1.5 manual ... I would get that 125,000 baht cheapie though, as my wife had one, which I abused thoroughly ... never ever broke despite driving it like a rally car every day.
Quite a contrast on the mileage compared to cars in the US with much lower mileage in Thailand for the year. Very nice RX-8 but they must be driven hard. Most people shift too early and stay away from any automatics.
@@guzzijack9714 thanks mate, a lot of used cars here have high mileage but not this one and yeah don’t buy an auto rotary and definitely drive them hard, I will go back and take it for a test drive soon (hopefully) 😬😬😬
Luv the yard videos mate 👌 - have you done a video previously ( sorry if you have ) about - requirements of buying a car in Thailand ( How to’s ) - warranty period from a yard ? - where to get insurance or is it partly transferable ? - does the blue book have copies of all previous maintenance? - do they have RWC here ? - anything relevant like this in your experience? Sorry mate probably should have sent you an email 🫣👋😎🤩 I will if you prefer lol Have a great day
The MGs always seem like a reasonable price in Thailand, especially compared to the UK. Some good looking models too. Not sure what they're like to run, maintain etc 🤷♂ Slightly related, but saw an all electric MG in Thailand, but wasn't sure how you'd charge it if you lived in a condo in Bangkok 🤔
Yeah they are good value here for sure and back in Australia they sell exceptionally well because of the price and a 10 year warranty, here they have a 5 year 150k warranty, a subscriber just bought the MG4 all electric and interested to see how it goes and his experience, I will make a video with him after a few months and possibly make another video just on MG here with prices etc.. Thanks mate, appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment 👍
At the moment new cars are going down in price as well, hence the used market following. New Ford Ranger Wildtrak is now 990.000. New BYD seal same price just to name two
That sure is a rarity being a S2 manual RX8. Ive owned 6 x RX7's in total, the last being a S2 race car that I won back to back class championships in 2015-16. After my selling my first RX7, which was a S1 extend port turbo, I said my next sports car will either be a Porsche or Corvette. Six RX7's and 2 divorces later, I finally got my 987.2 Cayman 😅
My opinion, cool low cars are a waist here. With all the potholes, flooding and traffic I want tall and short. Jeep like. Maybe a Nissan Juke? Something that 1, can get me anywhere in the rain and 2, fits a couple sets of golf clubs. Between the flooding and potholes I think I'd destroy a low sporty car here.
Thought you meant speech less on how much the prices are in thailand, they are ridiculously over priced My son just bought a volvo v60 140000 miles full service history from a Sheffield auction for 1000 pound s,last week January that's 42000 bht ,second hand cars are far cheaper in Europe That volvo in thailand would be at least 400000 in thailand ,10 times more and the tax for volvo in uk 20 pounds So I think some locally built cars in thailand are cheap new, but not if you import, ut second hand market we'll too dear
crazy prices unaffordable for most. To be fair second hand cars especially diesel engines have shot up in price electric cars are bad news depreciating by half in under a year 40 k for a cheap one worth 20k after a year.prices on diesels and petrol holding very good prices
The prices are crazy especially given the high kms and no service book in most instances, the new car prices are not significantly higher than many used prices 😩
@MotoringThailand yes I agree and no service books big no in the UK..can't bear service history keeps the cars value better. I was talking about the UK prices in my first comment..but Thailand prices seriously are very high especially for second hand cars better off buying new ..

If they put castrol oil in that engine its no good castrol burn engine parts out

Yep 👍 hopefully used prices start reflecting that 😬
Avoid Nissan Teana/Altimas. Those CVTs are garbage, worldwide.
Agree mate, CVT’s are the worst transmissions 👍
I the Teana followed on from the Cefiro and they were a Maxima in NZ and the US
Thanks mate, after the Maxima they called it a Altima in Aus 😬
That Ranger looked great, but only a 2.0L I don't know if it is a good drive or not, but the engine size puts me off!
Yeah good looking truck, I will try and take it for a drive and film it soon 😬👍

I think you missed your opportunity!! Would have been perfect to start this channel when the Bangkok Motor show was on and cover that.😊
Thanks mate, yes agree 👍
That ranger would be about the same here in the US without the mods.
Thanks mate 😬👍

Yeah, good for an occasional drive out of town but as you say, the roads are pretty bad especially where I live in Soi Khao Noi 😩
Catvia still bad rep in Thailand, had friend buy one was more in for repairs that on road.Only brand buy is Toyota, bullet proof.
Yep, craptiva! Agree 100% on Toyota mate, can’t go wrong 👍👍👍

Wow Ive only done 100,000 klms in my 2010 Amarok, nothing wrong yet
Cars here all have pretty high kms, good to here your Amarok is going well 👍
1080P minimum please, as very grainy on large screen TV's.
Ahhh, thanks mate - really appreciate you letting me know 👍👍👍
Bet the US viewers are spewing, some good prices there.
Thanks mate, to be honest I think used car prices here are quite high compared to new but that’s just how it is 😬👍
I'm looking for a Hilux champ lifted or an FJ if they have it in Thailand
Haven’t seen an FJ for ages but Champs are everywhere 👍
Hasn't this been on before ??? Maybe on your other channel 😊 still good information 👍
Yeah it was mate just a shortened version with sold cars removed, appreciate you watching. New video coming soon 👍
When you said that you've owed a series 5 RX-7 you put up a picture of a series 6-8. No big deal but thought I'd point it out
Yeah I know mate, i should have used an actual photo of my series 5 😩 Thanks for pointing it out though, loved that car 😬
I understand that mate, I love my rotary's too. Jealous of your R100
@ that was cool but I loved the RX3 coupe more 😬

If they're built domestically, the prices are reasonable. If they are imported, forget about it. They got tariffs that would make Trump blush.
Exactly, 328% on imported cars! Even MG are built here now
Not much difference between Australian cars and Thai l live in Thailand. Up north .
Do you mean in terms of pricing? I agree and pretty high kms on them too!
Thanks mate 😬
That mazda rx8 has been there for how many years😂
He got it last year when the owners daughter sold it to him after her father passed
Yellow RX8 enuff said lol but not a bad price for the kms! Nice man
@@BADQ thanks mate, love a rotary but cubic inches first 😬😬😬
Only problem with the RX8 ... reliability !!! ... best to be avoided
Maybe try in AUS $$$
If i live in thailand i buy Hummer H2 😊
To bad the Mazda is the wrong year
What year is good?
If you plan a road trip best to rent a nice safe modern car without the ownership headaches.
Good advice 👍
Well, I'm Speechless! Not.
Cheap prices
#XiaomiSU7 #Thailand
Haven’t seen one here yet but we are getting flooded with Chinese cars
Why are you showing all the high maintainance car?
