You should get a tech/non-cotton shirt for outside. Wearing cotton is like wearing a towel - get a shirt that wicks the sweat away from you. From a fellow Georgian!
Hey Doc. You talked about filming in this video. It reminded me of a video you did years ago of all of the equipment and editing programs you used. As tech changes, I’m sure you’re equipment has too. Would love a video of the latest you are using
Doc, you have railroad ties there. Make a ramp for your UTV… that’s what we do. Roll out a mat so if you do spill anything, it’s an easy clean up and it’s not in the dirt
I have a problem with cats on my yard and mosquitoes. so I'm trying to plant a small row of lavender since it acts as a repellent for both, as a natural solution two my two biggest pests. (seems to work as long as the lavender don't die on me... I'm still finding my watering balance on those lol) I think you might like t try to put some garlic or geraniums near your orchard. those are two that I remember that keep Japanese beetles away. there are others but none that I remember of the top of my head right now.
My experience has been beetle bags draw in Japanese beetles. I use Bayer Advances Tree & Shrub. It systematically wipes out Japanese beetles and other chewing/sucking insects for vow months! Sure has saved me from spraying plus it does not harm the beneficial insects.
If your trees and flowers are cover with beetles... do both. If they are already coming in... I don't believe they draw MORE. There is no documented evidence of them drawing "more".
You’re grass is looking so good. We have a mix of Centipede and two kinds of Bermuda in our yard. We suddenly have an area of Bahia coming in. What is your advice on getting rid of it. Thanks for your help. 7b North Alabama.
Property looks great Doc I think you can successfully plant sweet potatoes, it is one of the few plants that grows well here in Central Florida during the summer and also cherry tomatoes
Can I use the DuMor Layer Crumble Poultry Feed you mentioned in a previous video as an inexpensive way to help feed my soil along with PGF Complete and SuperJuice? I'm also killing the weeds so my Bermuda grass will grow. Just starting treatments on an ignored lawn that is almost all weeds. Trying to do what I can afford to do right now. Thanks! (live just outside Memphis TN so it's HOT here too)
07:50 Doc you mentioned spraying mycorrhizal fungi in a powder form through a hose end sprayer. Is this a new product that we haven't seen yet on your channel?
Hey Doc. In Central Texas here. Running on 100f here 21 days and counting. Watering my Bermuda Lawn 3 days a week. Morning and afternoon. Ground is cracking in places. I haven’t aerated yet. Spurge and nut grass is present now. Can I kill it now or should I wait till it cools down some. My lawn looks great in 90% of the lawn. But 10% is struggling. Any suggestions?
Hey Doc, if I'm regularly puttin' down Dirt Booster (at times of fertilization), is it necessary to also put down Humichar? Just thinking from a cost perspective....
Have you made the video doing the Drive? I’m nervous to do is pray it on mine and it’s maybe a week old even though it says we can spray at emergence...
Great video doc. I recently got rid of my lawn guy who was keeping my Bermuda at a little over 3+ inches tall. Cutting it myself is going great. I want to slowly bring it down to 1.5 inches. Any advice on how slowly and in what intervals to bring it down to the desired height? I’m in NE Georgia.
@@HowTowithDoc ohh I see, thanks, do you know if anything happened with The Andersons' spreaders? I'm looking to buy the SR2000(not lco-1000) but haven't been successful. It's out of stock everywhere. Did they discontinue these? I mostly use Anderson's products and my current spreader throws heavily to the left.
So I come home from deployment and my neighbors have let their dogs piss constantly in several spots and have killed my grass!!!!! Any recommendations?!
Hi, your video content is very good, how do you usually control watering? I would like to sponsor you a smart sprinkler controller, are you interested?
welcome to the TX heat. I drink a lot while working and i get done at noon. Its 100 + here
Doc you are the chosen for this property, you were born for this dude, go forth and spread the science on what it takes to achieve the black soil.
Doc, you need some ramps. I bought FloTool RhinoRamp from the jungle store and love them.
Had some and they got thrown away in the move I think. Have to get more

Ok silver lining for the heat, my Bermuda looks really nice.

Ordered new ones...
Supposed to be 95 degrees here in Ohio today. I try to avoid anything on the lawn at this time of year, though did put down some Humichar this week.
Awesome video Doc.
Nice looking place you got there doc
Next year you should try and get a contract with a grocery store for all that produce. Tremendous yield you got this year.
I like it Doc.... good video where you hit a little bit of everything . Can't wait to see how back and front lawn look come September

Is dirt booster driving some of the fungus and mold problem that you have?
No, it actually helps. Good fungus fights bad fungus and we didn't put any out prior to the fungus on that back lawn
Agree that water filtration is a good system.
Property looks great Doc

Shout out from NM dry 100+ degree weather
Amazing what you have done to the place. I bet you see those deer early in the morning?
All day and all night. That group was out in the heat at 2pm
You might want to consider buying a Vehicle/Equipment Lift for maintaing all of your eqiupment. Outdoor models are available. Svaes your back.

Yes, we were just concerned about the additives that often go into chicken feed like calcium.

Try spot treating with a Bermuda safe killer. Keep it mild and only treat the weed areas.

Thanks Doc!
Doc I have a question on heat stressed zoysia, any possibility I could send you a photo and get your opinion
How are the snakes this time of year
Fine... no real issues
Doc, you gotta add some Body Armor to the fridge 🤙
Doc what can I put down for nut grass ? Zoysia grass
Image can get it at lowes
Doc. Can you do a lesson on torpedo grass please. It’s destroying me
Doc, can I use PGF Complete on bermuda in over 95 degrees temps?
Sure... as long as you have rain or water you're fine.
@HowTowithDoc Thanks Doc
Doc, just installed Tahoma 31 Bermuda sod , cut at 1/2 inch. When could I reel mow?
I would let it be a bit longer this year. Maybe 1" and then start next year. But reel mowing is fine any time.
Doc I’m in SA tx it’s hot !
Have you made the video doing the Drive? I’m nervous to do is pray it on mine and it’s maybe a week old even though it says we can spray at emergence...
No we didn't record it. I'll keep you posted.

Bite the bullet. Watch summer scalp video. Ugly for 3 weeks but worth it.
Hey Doc. Thanks for the videos! Will the mycorrhizal fungi survive the winter in CO or do you start over each season?
The "spores" will be there and come back in the spring.
@@HowTowithDoc Thanks Doc!
Any reason for using this spreader and not the Lco-1000? Just curious
Much lighter and the LCO back U bar is too low.

Doc, if I throw out Bermuda seed on centipede lawn will the Bermuda win out?
If there is sun.. probably so.
First Aussie 😁. Doc, great advice. 🤠
I hear you're up in the Cherokee area. That true?
It’s hot. My fescue has checked out for the rest of the summer, I can’t give it enough water at this point.
Does dirt booster make fill dirt fertile?
It helps with the overall biology yes.
Tks Doc. Always informative😀
So I come home from deployment and my neighbors have let their dogs piss constantly in several spots and have killed my grass!!!!! Any recommendations?!
14:15 "The last thing i need is more trees". Unless they're diseased or rotting there should never be any other cosmetic reasons to get rid of them.
Doc doc you should plant korean sweet potatoes, think it's also called koimo sweet potatoes 🍠
I have been wondering what you use for the ants? Do you have fire ants?
We have killed over 200 mounds. We spot treat with bayer fire ant killer.
At 0:31 I verbally said “der go Linda”

Try not to put your bags (beetles) by the trees they’re attacking
They are already THERE.... and they go to the bags not the trees. That's kind of a myth.
