The Maxx was the best non-music video content MTV ever put out.
This was my absolute favorite cartoon from MTV back in '95.
When MTV was cool
Ok boomer
@@MasterAlpha1000Do you think it is cool now?
People were complaining about it then because of things like this, but, it did still show music videos. I have no idea what it's up to now. Hopefully it's living happily in its own way? 😅
🤣 You killed my hostage!
"Gun Shot"
Mr.Gone: Never do that Again
Best animation ever love the work they did
A thousand degrees with a jacket on....sounds like me.
First saw this back in 1999 I have to get the DVDs some day.
Same, I was 9 years old. Came to my mind the other day and now I'm here.
Amazon has those dvds. They're those make-on- demand type, but good quality.
MANY more good highlights from THIS series !!!!! :-) .... DARN near 30 years old ha HA!!! Nice. .... Excited to see more posts of these clippies.
Haha the animation in the song of S3RL ^^
Really sucks they didn’t have the rights to the original song “ I want to marry a light house keeper”.
Hmm, that's odd...I used to have this when it was originally on MTV (on VHS, recorded it off the original broadcast) and I could have sworn the song on the radio at the beginning there was "I wanna marry a lighthouse keeper"
***** different scene. Episode 1 in a laundromat where a woman and man talk. Man leaves, she becomes Mr. Gone's first victim.
As a side, I actually sought around in regards to this, it was an actual change...A buddy of mine fished out an old VHS copy of this he had recorded off TV when it first aired (and the MTV's Oddities series "the head" with the alien living in that dudes head as well) and there's a few scenes with lighthouse keeper in it, it's playing here before he changes the station and on an old radio in the street in an earlier episode. I compared it to later released versions and the music is much the same but the lyrics are changed. Best I can tell the original was written by a woman named Erika Eigen...It appears originally (again, best as I can tell) on the Clockwork Orange soundtrack, so my best guess is that they used the original during the first airing which makes sense since it's the words used in the same scenes in the comic if memory serves. Then were served with a cease and desist order either by Erika or by whatever company owns the rights to the Clockwork Orange soundtrack and changed the words around in their official releases of the show to avoid any legal issues. :)

Boo!
I love that song!
So much so, it is my lady's Ringtone 😃
Cracks me up every time 😂
That sucks they had to edit it...
Too fire
I have not read everyone's comments but since they are going crazy with comic books into movies why not the maxx? it could go straight to dvd then you know its good!
Would they make the max look like a human with weird things? Or would they make him look kinda cartoony tho? Live action his lamp shade teeth would look soooo weird.
This comic was so good and so deep I really have to say that they should leave it alone with a movie. Not that it's a bad idea but think about it for a sec. Would you want something so good to be ruined?
@@themoofs6925I think it would benefit from either staying in a animated format or do a roger rabbit type thing
I cant remember I think it was an Ice House Chronicles episode.
but seriously it would be kinda cool
brian redban? lol when did he mention this on the podcast?
Seriously, when did redban mention this?
This show's too POWERFUL for Brian!
Toronto...

Emtivi pone subtitulos compa
redban sent me
He looks and sounds like Robbie Lawler
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!! WHO KNOWS THE "SURFER TRACK/MUSIC" BEING PLAYED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SCENE? Who's the band? or group project the composed the music for the series/ scene.
I also searched for clues on that Groovy tune and the song "I fell in love with a school bus driver" both which played in the car radio. The Maxx comicbook soundtrack had songs but did not match the MTV version....
@@DAVORIMAGE Google just pulls out gnarly results IDK, by any chance do you know the name of the group, where can i hear that song version? what site?
@@stevenalvarez5031 The 1995 Music crew credits were Kurt Vanzo on the music composer, Theme music was Miki Navazio.
Where can I watch the full series?
Apple
A remake could be awesome
