What I love about this channel is you get to see a real dude live the off grid life, without feeling like you're being sold some product or told to smash the like button every 5 minutes. It's refreshing.

The pacing is super epic! The still shots are opposite of tiktok style fast pace trash and the slow pacing and allows the viewer to soak in the entire scene.
True! I notice that as I become older I do get excited about spending time at my home in the countryside - it's not a log cabin but it's a cabin-like house with woodstoves and a yard where I grow raspberries, strawberries, serviceberries and hazelnuts. But now I wanna bulid a log cabin... :) Thanks for the inspiration!

Just starting to cool off where I live in Canada, snow probably December. Deer and bear run through my yard, in moose country but haven't seen one. I live on grid, but set up for off grid. We hunt grouse, fish a lot, hunt deer and bear in season and depends on tag lottery.

I was going to write and suggest that you turn the bunkbed so it wouldn't be so close to the stove. It looks like you already decided to make the change. A "tool belt" to go to the outhouse at night.

Maybe like a 10oz can a bear spray in one, and your hammer in the other holster.
Noisemakers: police whistle, air horn, firecrackers
Maybe build a "bear fort" around the outhouse. Dozens and dozens of sharp-pointed poles placed in the ground slanted outward. The bear comes sniffing along and gets poked right in the eye with one of these things and says, "I'm getting out of here!"
And maybe a specially constructed outhouse where your outhouse (which has no door) can be rotated using the feet to maintain 360° reconnaissance view of your surroundings while you're doing your thing ... or maybe just your regular outhouse but with a built-in periscope to maintain vigilance while you're tootin' away ....

Huge male & female moose's. The older I get I'm not thrilled about winter. We usually don't get snow until mid November, but still it last until May ugh 🤪. Hope this finds Cierra healing. Blessings to you both. 😊🇺🇲

The first dusting of snow. We're past due for some nasty snow storms here in Minnesota. 2022/23 might be the year we get some deep powder.
Love the use of the canvas on the ceiling. I have done similar and found over time it will sag might want to consider thin wood stops on your rafters to minimize sagging.

Take a ball of newspaper or old brown bag rub it old dried up ashes from your stove and with stove glass cooled down rub the glass and watch how it cleans. Just a tid bit coming from a guy--

Some would say use ash on your stove window but u can get ammonia cleaner and your local Walmart for less than $2 a jug and it works great
