Yeah it got pretty bad at one point. Had to separate them. The 2 green terrors are together in a 60 gallon. My electric blue carpintis is in a 55 gallon. 1 flowerhorn in a 40 gallon and a different flowerhorn in a 40 gallon in my room
To be honest, I'm not sure! I found it at a Petco for $12. It wasn't labeled a specific flowerhorn. From what I've gathered online. I think its called a Blue Dragon flowerhorn.
@@marklestercustodio4523 the 10 inch green terror didn't look nice until he got big. He looked similar to the small one for a long time. About 8 inches he developed nicely
@@marklestercustodio4523 it depends on tank size and how much you feed and water quality. I got the big one at 3 inches. It took about 1 years 6 months to reach 10 inches. Yours might not get to 10. They usually max out at 8 inches

@@mantis-mike5882 that's cool bro! Flowerhorns are awesome and thank you 😊. Basically most people just use a glass bottom tank with no decorations with a sponge filter. They drop a mirror in every other day so he can fight himself to grow his head. What specifically are you wanting to know? I'm no expert but I haven't killed a flowerhorn yet lol. Just give me some questions about what u want to know and I'll give you my best advice. Look forward to hearing from you ✌️
@@mantis-mike5882 The mirror makes him think he has another male to compete against for dominance. That will make his color and hump grow because he's trying to intimidate the other male. Short of like how a turkey or Peacocks use feathers and such to intimidate other males. I'd put a mirror in as soon as possible. You just don't want to leave it in all the time. It can cause him to hurt himself because they will attack it for hours. Removing it also tricks him into thinking he has defeated it. Then when its put back into the tank. Its like a new flowerhorn for him to challenge. A good variety and quality food and water maintenance is key to a healthy flowerhorn to grow a huge hump. Just don't over feed them. Its better to under feed them, Than over feed. I'd recommend making a garlic concentrated juice and soak the food before feeding it to the fish. Let the food soak up all the garlic juice until it swells up before u feed. Flowerhorn can grow to be 12 inches in size depending on which type you get. So I'd suggest a 55 gallon tank. so you don't have to keep buying a bigger tank as he grows. They can grow pretty fast. I'd recommend a canister filter because you only have to clean it every 3-4 months with 1 Flowerhorn.

The green terror in the beginning of video is 4 inches. The green terror at the end is 10 inches
