I have a xs power AGM under the hood and a xs power AGM battery in the trunk. I have most of the big 3 setup. I'm waiting to get a high output alternator before I complete the big 3. My alternator isn't acceptable without removing my intake manifold and other stuff. I've ran larger factory ground wire and a few extra other grounds. I'm still on 4 guage wire so I be upgrading to 0 guage also

@@Silentjustin06 Nice, checking it out now. I know that things must slam. I have just 2 old Alpine Type R 10s in my RSX and they hit way harder than they should on stock electric, so yours must be crazy. I have a Smart 3 in my TL also, wish I got the Big Boss or Smart Bass though, love those amps. The TL has a 135 amp stock alternator so I put more in it and I rarely drive the RSX anymore anyways. Someone offered me 15k for it 2 years ago and now I baby it lol.

No go with a bigger amp. Like 2k or 3k. They can handle mor than 1500 rms

I ran a 1 skar ddx 12 on a taramps MD 3000.1

I love pioneer amps and owned every GM-D model. Still have the 5 channel and 9701. That said, go taramps smart 3 or big boss 3. I recommend big boss 3

Yes pvr 6.5s and ds18 tweeters on a pioneer GM-D8604

Its complicated to be honest. Its alot of trial and error. Your water could be the problem. The amount of salt in the water. Not feeding them enough. It took me months of trying before I could keep high numbers of them living and reproducing.

I used spirulina powder soaked in some tank water in a cup. Mix it well and let it soak for a hour. Mix it again and add to the tank. Feed them as soon as they hatch.

I never used any filters. Just a airline with a valve to control the bubbles. Change water as needed. Probably once every two weeks

What worked for me may not work for you. It really depends on your type of water and how high the ph level and many other factors

Man you went to town on refurbishing that box. I'm sure it improved it. Yeah I wouldn't recommend putting a massive subwoofer in these boxes. I think 1,200 rms per subwoofer is the max I'd recommend for this box. There isn't enough air space and I dont think it can support the weight of anything bigger. I recently sold this system for $450. Now I have a custom box with the ddx 12s and a taramps big boss 3k. It's a massive improvement. The big boss 3k is way better than the MD 3000.1 AMP. Spend the extra money and get the Taramps big boss 3. It's a way better amp for not that much more than the MD 3000.1

Hints the reason I said spend the extra money on the big boss 3k. I tried both amps on the same setup and the big boss 3k was substantially better than the MD 3000.1

Not sure what u mean by "what did I add to the water" I just put fresh salt water in the tank that I made a few days before the change. Yes, I feed them spurlina powder mix in some tank water. Its common for some to die with a big environment change

I just watched the video. That's spurlina powder mix with the tank water. I put the tank water in a cup. Stirring powder in it. Let it soak for a hour. Then pour it in the tank

Nice! I'm surprised you can put a 3k on 2 if them. I had a 1200 on 1 and it would smoke on long low bass

My new custom box for my skar DDX 12s doesn't move my mirror that much but it absolutely murders my rear hatch

@@ChefKe357 there is a screw but it's to mount the mirror to the roof. The bass is to much for it to stay in place. It's not that mount. it's just the swivel the mirror is on, isnt strong enough to stay in place.

I wouldn't recommend it put yes it works. I had the amp at 1ohm just to try it.

Make sure you have the room for it. It's a huge box. I'd recommend a different subwoofer tho. This one is ok but I would get something with a bit more rms rating

@@Silentjustin06 turn the sub to face the boot will sound louder. I have a Protege Hatch back plenty of space, i just upgraded from 12s to 1x15 and it sounds nice, I hate punchy subs. I like that low deep sounding bass

Lol 8, 8 inch subwoofers. That's a lot of 8s. It depends on what the power rating of your 8s are tho. I'm guessing you have a truck with 8 8 inch subwoofers. I'd honestly would just do 2 15s or 12s if I was you or if it's even possible for your application

Some ddx 15s or 12s. The ddx handle this amp really well

I'm running 2 hyanka 12s on this amp now. They are around $130 shipped if your looking for something cheap. The amp really push the hyanka to the max. It's actually broke my hatch release. I can't open the hatch anymore 😂. Gonna have to figure out what's wrong with it

Well it depends if you have the 3k md 3000.1 1ohm or the 2ohm amp. Secondly the power acoustic mofos are not rated properly the rms they claim isn't correct. Power acoustic subs and amps are over rated. So not surprised you smoked them. If you want to go the cheaper way. The Hyanka's can handle the md 3k with no problems. If you want to spend the extra money. Get the skar ddx subwoofers. I have both. The the skar ddx subs definitely handle that amp better and sound better and produce more bass. If you have the md 3k 1ohm amp. Buy 2) 4 ohm skar ddx and wire them in parallel for a final 1 ohm load on the amp. If you you have the md 3k 2ohm amp. Get 2) 2ohm skar ddx and wire the in series/ Parallel for a final 2ohm load on the amp. If you can afford the ddx subwoofers I would definitely go with them. The Hyanka perform really well to tho. American bass also has subwoofers that can handle that amp around the same price range as the skar ddx subwoofers. I would definitely look into what amount of air space your box has and what its tunef at. the recommended air space and tuning of the box needs to match whatever subs you decide to buy as close as possible to get them best performance. You might have clipped them and no speaker will last forever if you do that

​@@imfrom210texasI almost guarantee he was clipping them. It's easy to do if you don't have a clip light monitor on the dash. I watch mine everytime the song changes. Mine will clip Depending on the song. I have my amp right at the edge of clipping also. Set with the 40hz test tone

Maybe with 600w rms being put to it but with my Pioneer GM-D9701 1,200 rms amp. It gets pretty unhappy pretty quickly. I was testing a song that had a 15hz bass track. It would putout some surprisingly good flex but would start to smell in under a minute. I blew 2 of them experimenting with their limits. I bought a 3rd and hurt it also trying to push the limits on more power than it's rated. It's a home theater bed room subwoofer now. 2 of these on a 1,200 rms amp in something like a suv would get down for a budget setup. I ran 1 on 1,200 rms for a year with no problems. It's only when I went for the very low notes that I started blowing them

The DDX are the better subs but for the price the Hyanka get down for sure. Especially since I didn't realize the the hyanka's was wire to a 4ohm load compared to the DDX being wired to a 2ohm load on the amp. The Hyanka performed very close to the DDX @ a higher ohm with less watts.

I was actually wrong about the hyanka's being wired to 4ohm. For some reason I thought it was but after taking the subwoofer out and looking at the wires. The hyanka's and the ddx 12s are both wired to 2 ohm

You actually made me realize something. I accidentally purchased the wrong subwoofers. the title is wrong and I'm going to correct it. Instead of purchasing 2) 2ohm dvc. I ordered 2) 4ohm dvc subwoofers

Yes I know all the shake and flex isn't as important as how they sound. Most people are more interested in how much power they can handle and how much air they can move more the sound quality. They sound pretty good for a budget subwoofer. This video was intended to show that they are a good alternative to the skar DDX 12S. They are like $50 cheaper than the DDX and similar in sound quality and output. I believe I put I link in the description to my DDX 12s playing the same song. So people can compare the 2 subwoofers

Sounds dope! I have a pioneer 7 inch headunit with the (pioneer GM-D9705) 5 channel amp powered by a 12v 50 amp power supply thats rated for 600w on the skar sdr18 sub and box combo. My highs are 2 10 inch midrange with horns in a CHERO BOX. That's setup on my headboard of my bed. Then I have a Bluetooth amplifier that puts out 200w to a 8 inch skar subwoofer and 50w 2 ds18 6.5 inch 2 way speakers with some cheap tweeters in a small CHERO BOX setup on my TV stand. I connect both to Bluetooth at the same time and it sounds amazing. I get music from behind me and in front of me and it absolutely slams.
