Hi Brooke I have a question. Do you have an idea how much I should charge for shipping based on your experience depending what place you take your boxes to? Do you have a scale at home to see how heavy the box is to charge shipping will be to pre charge it by a customer before shipping??
Hi mam. I bought frame for canvas 3*3.5 feet height. It's very heavy wood. Can I progress on that. Please suggest me I hv to use nail for stretching canvas or else I move to stabler. Is stabler penetrate that heavy wood. Please gv your opinion..
May I ask a question? Does your client cover the cost of shipping? Do you add in the cost of tape and foam core, etc? I am struggling with these details that seem to eat up my profits.

I don't know how can a person be so funny and talented at the same time😂 But it was really great (especially the last part of saying goodbye, I watched it more than 10 times and I really laughed😂😂) Brooke:)❤
Questions on shipping! 1. Is it challenging to ship internationally? 2. Do you take it to the post office and have them measure/weight or do you do that online and then drop it off? 3. have you ever faced size restrictions on shipping? thx!!
It's a bit more work to ship internationally, but it's 100% doable! For example, you need to fill out a customs form and sometimes additional paperwork depending on where you're shipping to. If the painting/print I'm shipping is on the smaller side I will usually take it to the post office (because they don't accept parcels that are over a certain size). But I often use a website called Shiptime.com that will find the best rates across all the different available curriers, then you print the shipping labels (and additional paperwork) attach it to your parcel, and the courier comes right to your house to pick it up! Hope that helps! 😊
i tried sending a 30x40 canvas through UPS but it was 275$ which is outrageous... 11 pounds and 275??? is there any other way of sending large canvases besides UPS?
heyy!! came across your video and I’m amazed by your work!! also I have been wanting to start my own business and I’ve been struggling to find a perfect box for my paintings. Was wondering where you got your box from??
I would probably go with an acid-free tissue paper to wrap the painting if you want to store it in a box instead of the cellophane wrap for long-term storage!
Hi Brooke! Love the video! I'm getting into oil painting and I have some questions :) - How long do you wait for the painting to dry before packaging it? Or do you spray something protective over it? - What brand of oils do you like best? And do you use anything to dilute/mix with the oil paint for a faster drying process?

Are your customers asking for them streched on canvas? sorry that's a lot of questions but I'm going to launch my shop in 20 days (abstract paintings and I'm worried about delivery Thank you for your time
Hey Brooke! a few questions! I have a 36 x48in painting commission and I am wondering if you've ever packaged a painting that large for shipping... and if soooo where did you find the box/materials? I live in Hawaii so shipping to the mainland is astronomical.. I got quoted $1,090 for shipping alone plus $290 to build a crate for the painting from my local pack n shipping... I wonder if you have any hacks on shipping since you ship internationally... thanks for the help!!
Love this, Brooke. I do almost the exact same type of shipping too. I have a closet full of recycled packaging materials (Amazon air pillows, boxes, etc.). I just watched another video about using floral cellophane to wrap paintings. I'd never used that before. I've always used Glassine, but will give that a try. I also wrap my paintings with that green plastic wrap you get at moving supply stores. I wrap it around the bubble wrap and entire painting to keep it all together and safe in case the box gets wet. So many different techniques out there. We just want our work to get to our collectors safely. Great video. Happy painting! -Shan
Amen! Thanks for watching Shan ☺ I've since replaced the cellophane wrap with acid free tissue paper (trying to cut down on plastic), with bubble wrap on top - though plastic wrap is certainly better for water protection!
@@b.cormier I hear ya. I've been using glassine paper, but recently saw a gallery using florist cellophane wrap to wrap their prints.
