Have you tried packing products from Ecoenclose?
I haven't!! I will try them out though they look promising! thank you for the suggestion
@@sabinafennart You're welcome!
I’ve just sold my first print so this was perfect to know how to send it out!!
Hi! How much did it cost to ship out :)
Congratulations
Congratulations!
i wanna know what kind of print paper did you use?
Your video was helpful! It helped me make some decisions about packaging, especially about adding a personal touch. Thank you for sharing!
Educational and helpful video, thank you, Sabina!
Yes ! Love to buy one! It's so good that your encouraging eco-friendliness! Can you do a video on how to do your girls that you paint in a lot of your art prints! Love your art! 😊❤️🌴
For sure!! I do have one here: ua-cam.com/video/U3NMfZhRkuE/v-deo.html but I can totally do more 🥰
Sadly it’s not eco friendly. She should have done research, but unless she is having people ship the compostable plastic sleeves back to her, then taking them to a commercial facility, which takes months of CO2 output and water usage to actually degrade the materials, these are actually much more harmful for the environment than plastic which can simply be recycled in most places.
The plastic ones cannot be recycled
Im just getting into selling my art. I sold a piece a couple weeks ago and when I went to package it in just a standard manilla envelope I realized that I needed a better way to package it that ensured it's protection and that was more professional. Thank you for the information in this video. You are breathtakingly beautiful by the way😍😘 Have a great day😊
This was so helpful and saved me from having to watch a dozen videos like I usually do to make decisions on best practise. :) So good! My husband is just getting started on wood block prints and I'm going to run his etsy shop for him!
I'm sri lankan artist. You show people what's really need to know when dealing with customers. Thank you so much for making wonderful video. You deserve more subscribers. That's why i subscribed you
This was great! Thanks for sharing! I'm new to selling my art prints and it can be hectic when trying to figure out the best way to do them, especially the larger sizes. I would love to see you do a video on the larger prints as well.
THIS IS AMAZING! I am obsessed with everything you create, just followed you on etsy and instagram! Your prints are amazing
Thank you so much!!🥰❤️
Thank you for this video! I've been planning on making art prints but i didnt know where to start or wht products to use, this really helped 🙏💖
Super sweet!
Thank You
{& the outtakes are funFUNfun too!}
💃🏼💨
I really enjoyed watching your packing process! Shipping costs are definitely something that I'm also very concious about, it can be surprisingly expensive to ship 😊
Love love your packaging process and materials! Thanks for sharing. ♥️ I'm wondering if you have a video about your printing process, would love to check it out. I'm curious about the printer you use the paper and any other tip! Keep up the awesome work! ♥️♥️♥️
This was very useful, thanks for sharing!
Very informative and creative !!! I looove it !!!
Thanks for putting this together, I love your thank you card!
thank you!!
Yes!! Make a video about prints!
your art is beautiful !
Amazing video! This will be so helpful thank you !
Thank you your video was so helpful for sourcing! Would love a video on how you print your prints - do you print at home, or use a third party?
Hi Sabrina,
Your artworks are sooooo AMAZING! I'm so happy to stubble on your youtube channel! 😍 Can I ask what paper do you use for your prints and what setting do you use for your Canon ip8720?
Please make a video on shipping labels for artwork.. its significance and the resources needed.
thank you so much! so direct and with the links aswell
Hi Sabina. I'd love it if you could share a bit re how you make your prints. For instance, what paper do you print them on? What printer do you use? Do you scan the originals and make them smaller or bigger using photoshop? Or do you paint at the size you're making your prints? I'm very new to this, so any advice would be most welcome 😁 Thank you.
Very helpful video, thank you!! Awesome art too ☺️
Love this!! Can you share links to where you purchased all the supplies in the description?
Love the video, loove the song!
Hey Sabina thanks for your really helpful video ::) I was looking help to figure out the weight so I would know how much charge for shipping a painting and now I'm discovering all the process behind.
Hey Sabina thank you for making these videos! I'm hoping you might be able to share a little more wisdom.I'm just starting out selling art prints of my work and your videos have been extremely helpful. I sent a few prints to family members as a thank you for their support, one rigid mailer 12 x15 inches and the other 9 X 7 inches (and lighter than 12x15), they both cost the same amount about $15 to ship (I'm in Canada) Am I missing something? is there a base rate for rigid mailers in Canada no matter the size? or are shipping cost in Canada really this crazy lol.
I love your work it's so colourful and happy :) You inspired me to take a leap of faith in selling my artwork so thank you and again thank you for sharing your knowledge with everyone Amy
Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing 😁🥰
Where can I buy some of those sleeves? Also great video and your art looks amazing I'll have to buy something from your store in the near future! Thanks!
Sadly it’s not eco friendly. She should have done research, but unless she is having people ship the compostable plastic sleeves back to her, then taking them to a commercial facility, which takes months of CO2 output and water usage to actually degrade the materials, these are more harmful for the environment than plastic which can simply be recycled in most places. I’d suggest looking into other alternatives such as paper wraps or recyclable plastic.
Hey, I know this is an old video but it’s worth a shot to ask, are all these products available in individually? Or in bulk sale? I only need to send one print to a friend and don’t really want/need to buy a lot of material that I don’t need. Thanks for the video btw, this helps a lot
I was curious which backing boards you get from clear bags. Do you get the 4-ply, the 30 pt, the Bainbridge double thick, or something else? I'm trying to figure out how to package prints and want to make sure I get something rigid enough to protect them.
Hi! I really enjoyed your video:) you have such a cute studio. Also, I LOVE how your business cards have your picture on them, so cute. I might use your idea for that! I started my Etsy shop back in August and I've had a couple sales trickle in, but not too many. How long did it take before you had consistent sales on Etsy?
This is my first time shipping them, i will use your idea. Thank u💞
Greetings from Venezuela, thanks for the information !!!
Great video. Thanks!
Hello. Thank you for this information. I have a question, for your prints, when you indicate that it's an 8x10, does that include the white border?
thank you ! it very helps!!!
I keep bubblewrap and some outer packaging from packages I get
Love how you package. I sell art as digital prints, but will consider your method of packaging when I decide to ship actual prints😊 also I love the round thank you stickers. From where are they🤔
Thanks! They’re from amazon :) Id love to make my own but I haven’t yet! Lol
Sabina, your work is beautiful! This video is so helpful. I'm trying to find a good printer for my artwork. What printer do you use for yours?
Hi Annie! I use a canon ip8720 and canon pro 1000 :)
hi Sabrina!!! do you scan your art on your printer scanner or on a separate scanner? i am thinking of beginning my own greeting card/art print business and i don't know where to begin when looking for scanners/printers. anyways, thank you so much--your videos are always super helpful and inspiring!! :)
Thanks for the video! Have you ever had any issues with packages bending with the supplies you use? Do you use insurance?
Hi! I really like your dress!!!! Would you Mind sharing where you got it from? Also your video was super informative. Thank you!!!!
thank u for this!! :)
helpful video! When you print 8x10", do you trim the paper to the size?
If you don’t mind me asking,
What company do you use to order your prints with the white border?
Hi! Where do you get those stickers like "frigile" and "homemade "? Thank you!
where do you send your art work to be printed?
Could you post links to all the products you used? I love that everything is eco friendly
Sadly it’s not eco friendly. She should have done research, but unless she is having people ship the compostable plastic sleeves back to her, then taking them to a commercial facility, which takes months of CO2 output and water usage to actually degrade the materials, these are more harmful for the environment than plastic which can simply be recycled in most places.
here is my issue, clear bags don't yet ship to Australia and I'm struggling to find any bio clear slips. :( it's holding me back from selling my art.
Your art is lovely and this was really helpful! I'm also Canadian and was looking to ship art prints.
How do you input the shipping information for your envelopes? Do you use Etsy's shipping calculations by entering the envelope in as a package? (i.e. the height, width, length, and weight of the print in the envelope)
Sorry if this is confusing, I just haven't found an answer anywhere from other fellow Canadians. Thanks!
Hey!! Yes I use etsy’s system :)
Where do you get the materials to do shipping
Thank you for sharing. This information is very useful. Keep posting video. A new friend here. Keep supporting and growing together
which paper do you used nd print method i am new here so i dont know and i want to start my startup
love your print!! i had a question, so i saw in the comments you said you use etsy's system to print your labels. i used to do this for parcels i was sending out but now that im sending prints too, i'm not sure how to do it. how did you do it so you're sending it as an envelope and not a parcel? (because parcel shipping is so much more expensive, and i'm just sending a print) thanks, loved the video!
hmm I do ship them as parcels, I'm not sure if there's another way to do it - if so I haven't found it yet!
Your art is great. Thank you for the video. I'm planning on selling some of my prints as well and was wondering how you shipped larger prints? Do you use a mailing tube or do you ship flat? Thanks again!
I use a mailing tube! :)
@@sabinafennart Thanks again!
@@sabinafennart you use a mailing tube for what size prints? I have 11x14 prints.
@@janejohnson5488 for 12x16" prints :)
I'm complete beginner, and it's all look so complicated for me 😔. I wish there was a step by step guide...
Hi, I would be super grateful to know what thickness paper (in gsm) your envelopes and backing boards are? Thanks so much
Hi Andrea! I'm not too sure about the envelopes but they're quite sturdy! for the backing boards, they're 4-ply thickness. I'm sorry I don't have the exact numbers for you - I tried to find them but it's not showing on the websites I buy them from
Are you currently shipping internationally due to covid? If so, do you use USPS or DHL? How much would it be if I ordered
a print to ship internationally?
...sorry for all the Q’s 😂 I just really want a print but unsure of the right time to order. Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon.
hi!! Yes I am still shipping internationally :) orders are delayed by one or two weeks but other than that I haven't had too many issues. I have a page on my website that breaks down some countries I'm currently unable to ship to due to covid-19 but other than that it's business as usual sabinafenn.net/faq
After package and everything do you take it to a office so they can ship it off or simply just put it in ur mail box and they grab it?
yes I take it to the post office! If I'm in a pinch I'll put it in the mailbox but I prefer to take it to the post office
Where did you buy your cute business cards? 😯
Do you pay the HUGE shipping fee on the eco friendly packaging? From Canada too, was just wondering
Hi just wondering what printer do you use?
How thick is the board and can you link it?
I had a look on clear bags and it 1/16” think approx 1.57 mm, hope this helps.🙂
Do you have a link to where you get your backer board that goes behind your picture?
They’re from clear bags!
How do you feel about using tubing instead of rigid mailers?
I only use tubes for large prints because if I shipped them flat it would be very expensive and very risky!
But the liners aren’t biodegradable? They’re 10% polypropylene recycled but it says no where on the site about the bags being biodegradable. It’s just plastic
They do have sleeves that are solely made of plastic, these ones are a different kind (I’m not sure if it’s different for Canada vs USA) - they’re called eco clear something! They might be in a different section on the website
Can I ask what kind of printer you use?
OMG.... I have sent out two pages so far internationally and I never knew I was supposed to sign the customs form at the bottom of the shipping label... uhhhh do you know if that's a problem? :( Thanks!
I think it depends on your location I’m not sure!
🎉how do you Market how do you get customers?🎉🎉
Where did you get the sleeves?
clearbags.ca!
Do you number your prints?
Where did you get your pink stickers made ?
I actually just got these ones from Amazon! I'm still searching for a good sticker company to make my own, I'm hoping to make some biodegradable ones
Sabina Fenn I think this one is US www.purelabels.com
Paint display diy ?:)
how much does one sheet of chipboard weigh?
I’m not sure! They’re quite sturdy though
How much does weigh in total
How much do you charge for shipping ?
It really depends on the location!
Awesome video! I think you’d appreciate our content too! Let me know what you think and have an amazing! 🙌🌺
do you print your own prints ?
Yes I do! :)
This would be helpful but those companies are Canada exclusive
That ulie website is expensive asf!!
Please do more research prior to claiming a product to be “biodegradable”. These bags, like many(and like all cellophane) are not biodegradable, but commercially “compostable” (very hard to be composted, require lots of time, energy, water, CO2 output) and are actually worse for the environment than plastic which is recyclable, or paper alternatives.
Thank you for your comment! I'm always keen to learn more and make sure I'm being as eco-conscious as I can be when shipping my products. According to my research, PLA (which is what these sleeves are made from) can also be recycled, so I do still think they're better than plastic sleeves. I haven't managed to find paper that would be able to protect the art prints along the way from dirt/potential water damage but if you have any suggestions I'm all ears!
Sweet of you to share this. Love MrunaliniWaterColor @etsy
I'd recommend to get rid of this loud music. Annoying. It should serve you better.
Content great music horrible
Change the music, it's annoying.
Trying to watch but the background music in between you talking is just unbearable, sorry but I have to stop …
Hey awesome video! 😄 Do you have that link to the video of you making prints?
Perfect video, thanks for sharing
