For the Lexus IS I would suggest disconnecting the bottom wires too. I watched the video and left the bottom attached and that it was actually connected with the clock spring and the clock spring came off with the steering wheel. Better to be safe and not end up in my situation

Thanks for making this video, the 3 clips to remove the air bag are actually hard to see (video helped for this!)
For anyone doing this on a 2017 Lexus IS, a few things to note:
    - MARK the center of the wheel BEFORE removing it, that way you'll get it centered once you have to put it back on
    - Do not remove the 19mm bolt entirely (leave it close to the wheel, that way when you pull, it can't go too far, therefore not damaging the clock spring), not all steering wheels will come off easily like in this video, so you have to use force.
    - Hit the wheel in any order (top, bottom, left, right), you don't have to hit it clockwise/counter clockwise
    - If you have lane assist / radar cruise control / heated steering, you'll have an extra wire to disconnect on the wheel itself (left module)

Just to add on this, it's better not to completely remove the middle(main) bolt and just leave it loosely connected. This will prevent you from pulling the steering wheel completely out thus eliminating the possibility of destroying that $1000 ribbon cable.

I took of my steering wheel 4 times now. I broke the clock spring twice (i was able to fix it because no cables or anything broke). Best advice is to just loosen the steering nut don't take it off but unscrew it like 2mm. Then when you take it off the initial jerk movement is only 2mm. That way you can gently remove it after that.
